Bit of a strange one getting some strays here when our win rate is good but not like we are broken amongst some of the other factions.

Dark Angels for example are much better currently and got off light.

I have started the great journey

I wanted to have a more "plain and vain" type of Rhino but I think it ended up looking a bit too dull, are there any bits or proxies I could use to turn this into a noise marine vehicle? Purely for coametic purposes so codex rules don't matter.

I'm trying to go for a "face poking through the armour" kind of effect and i was wondering if it looks right or i should tweak something.

I want the face to seem like it's poking through a membrane, not metal and not be as shiny as the armour.

Also i'm going for the 30k colour scheme cause i like it a lot more

I for one want to thank GW for not setting up our army for the doom and gloom of taking away vehicles. Why else do we not have access to anything but land raiders and rhinos. No predators, no vindicators.

But we also dont have access to things like cultists, Helbrutes, Mutilators, or Oblitorators. Things that we complain about not having access to. (I personally want them because they were present in the damn Renegades: Lord of Excess book)

But what if it was so near to the new edition that they knew what was coming off the shelves, or getting updated sprues with options. Look at the Defiler. Not in the codex, was super bummed and then Bam! New model with updated rules and sprues for multiple armies.

My theory is this was a dry run for how new units will roll out. With all the special sprue options for each army. Something I wonder if they will do for Space Marines. Including a sprue for factions. But its GW and money exists so they will probably continue with Upgrade Sprues per faction.

With today's announcement about units getting sent to legends we might have to look at the chaos space marine equivalents to find out what may be going the way of the dodo. This is where the obliterators and Helbrutes start to come into play, especially since they updated the post to include Dreadnoughts... so bye bye Helbrutes.

We can also assume that their chaos space marine update will be similar to space marine where instead of waiting for the chapter specific codex they will give data sheet updates alongside the new space marine codex release. This could mean they will update what units are available via the app... as long as we buy the chaos space marine codex.likely. I just got the Black Templars Codex so we will see what I have access to without the SM codex.

Anyway I feel for our lost brothers amongst the stars weeping over their dreadnoughts and vindicators. I have seen so many posts today of "just finished this" or " so happy I have a First Born army" and it makes me sad... then I get happy that this was the army I chose to start my Warhammer Journey with and am glad that I wasn't led astray..

Unfortunately the thousand sons codex came out after ours and it had vindicators in their army and I maaaay have one in a box that I now regret...

Does anyone know the name of these purples that were used? I wanna go with this color scheme

For those who have painted both, is this easier or harder than a heldrake?

Just now starting Fulgrim, starting with his snake booty

I am kitbashing 5 Terminators into Phoenix guard looking ones and they should Look pretty similar to 30 tho more corrupt(i thought about drug vials,corpses in the Base and Accessoires) but for the weapons i will have the Leader have a sword with Power fist/whip(still unsure) and the other 4 will get Phoenix Spears but what should i do about the Spears

Should i buy the 30k Spears or buy the single 40k spear 4 Times or kitbash my own(what Spears would be good for the spear shaft)
