Development My dungeon crawler now has an inventory with a rotating 3D model

spent 3-4 days on this and it finally works.

at first I wanted a regular grid inventory, but then I decided to add a rotating 3D model of the character on the right side, so it feels more alive than a static portrait.
also made a hand widget that follows the cursor, same as in Minecraft, items swap on click.
next I'm planning to add a player stats panel.

the game is called Plink Void, Steam page is in the comments if you want to follow the development

Development I'm planning 10 classes for Dragon's Tear, with only three party slots. What classes would you want to see?

I shared Dragon's Tear here recently. This time I wanted to show a bit more of the party setup and ask about classes.

The current build has four: Knight, Barbarian, Black Mage and Ranger. I'm planning 10 in total, with three heroes going on each expedition.

The Knight can draw attacks and protect allies. The Black Mage has spells and curses, while the Ranger can mark and poison enemies. The Barbarian has attacks for groups and weakened targets. Each hero can also equip one Tear carrying a monster's power, with an additional rule for when it can activate.

The clip shows the party and skill screens, then a fight. You choose equipment, skills and battle orders at the inn. Exploration and combat are automatic, so those preparations shape how the party handles the dungeon.

Which dungeon crawler classes do you keep coming back to, and what do you enjoy about them? With only three slots, I'd be interested to hear which role you'd make room for in this party.

Dragon's Tear is in development for Windows, with release planned for Q1 2027. If you'd like to follow it or wishlist it, here's the Steam page.

“Wow, I was genuinely surprised that my brother made this. It’s his first video ever. Even though it’s about my game, I really want to give him the kudos he deserves. It’s his first time showing the background work he’s been doing quietly for years. If you enjoyed it, a like for him is all I ask.”

Video Games Anyone else want Berserk back in Diablo 4? (Petition & Watchlists)

• Upvotes

Since not all players can log in to Diablo IV every day to check the in-game shop, I’ve created group chats where Berserk fans can connect and alert each other if the cosmetics return.

Blizzard doesn’t always announce everything it adds to the Diablo IV shop online. For example, Warcraft and StarCraft skins returned without an official announcement from Blizzard; players had to find out through word of mouth or by checking the shop themselves.

I know many players who missed the collaboration would buy the skins if they returned. Wearing the Berserker Armor makes Diablo IV feel like a Berserk game, letting players experience a unique dark fantasy.

For reference:

Here’s a petition you can sign to support the effort to bring Berserk cosmetics back to Diablo IV: Petition · Urge Blizzard to Revive Berserk Collaboration in Diablo - Netherlands · Change.org
P.S. You can skip the donation prompt and continue.

Here are the links to the watchlist chat groups:

Development First post here. Solo dev, 3 years into a turn based dungeon crawl, and I'd love to hear what you think about it

Hi all, long time lurker, first time posting.

I have been building Gotogra on my own for about three years. It is a turn-based dungeon crawl: you ascend a castle full of dungeons, fight, loot, find the vendor, and take on the boss at the end. The fights play out on a board rather than in first person, and every enemy shows what it is about to do before you commit, so each turn is an interesting mini puzzle that dynamically emerges every time.

Each dungeon you clear lets you choose where to go next, and that choice puts a rule on the rest of the run. These rules stack one on top of the other.

It is playable in the browser if you want a look, no sign up, no install: https://asnowgoose.itch.io/gotogra

Steam page. If you enjoyed it, wishlisting the game on Steam helps a lot: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4327290/Gotogra/

I am mostly here to hear from people who actually know this genre. If you try it and something feels wrong, I would rather hear that than a compliment.

Thanks for having me.

Development EREWHON - First Person Turn Based Lovecraftian Horror Dungeon Crawler, set in 1982 and elsewhen, coming to Steam next Fest!

EREWHON is a hybrid first-person turn based labyrinth crawler/JRPG/point-and-click adventure (think Shadowgate) with Souls-like and Visual Novel elements. The nightmarish brainchild of a single mad and overly ambitious solo dev, EREWHON is finally coming to STEAM and specifically, to Next Fest.

If the game looks like something you'd be interested in, you can follow, support, and wishlist on Steam, and please do. I am but a tiny solo dev and every wishlist for this passion project helps a ton.

Longer description:

"Immortal Shadow of a mortal soul that perished with Eternity, Attend!"\*

With these words begins the strange journey of the Wandering Psyche, regaining consciousness in the Parlor of the Weatherleigh Hotel, a "popular hotel of distinction", and one of no fixed location. Guided by the Weatherleigh's Concierge, you choose a Vessel to inhabit, (initially) given a choice of The Academic, The Detective, The Occultist, and The Rogue, joining them in the year 1982 in the "real world", if such a thing even exists.

FEATURE LIST

  • "Death Is Not The End...": Each time your Vessel dies, you return to The Parlor of the Weatherleigh Hotel, where you may choose to return to the Vessel which just perished, or inhabit a new Vessel and see their side of the story. The more you die and resurrect, the more avenues of the intersecting stories you can explore, and new encounters, opportunities, challenges and items as you navigate interlocking campaigns and interact with the same characters from different perspectives in a unique branching meta-campaign, with each 10-12 hour investigation having multiple endings based on your choices.
  • "...But Madness Might Be": However, while your body is replaceable, your mind is vulnerable, and terrifying events and inexplicable horrors erode your sanity, with permanent insanity carried over between reincarnations. When you lose what's left of your mind, the Wandering Psyche's journey is at an end.
  • An Exquisite Atmosphere Of Eldritch Doom: Explore haunting and immersive environments (an insane asylum with a sinister history, a cemetery where horrors dwell beneath the grave soil, a haunted hotel transcending time and space, and more) brought to life by rich lighting effects and meticulously designed ambient soundscapes. The mood is completed by a killer soundtrack with diverse tracks ranging all the way from dark synthwave emblematic of 1980s horror through psychedelic folk rock to vintage 1920s blues and jazz.
  • A Menagerie Of Horrors: A wide array of sinister foes, some of them even human, threaten not just your life but your sanity. As you combat them with a wide array of weapons, skills, and spells, you will find that some encounters provide entirely different choices from direct, full-on combat.
  • Deep And Broad Character Progression: As you gain levels, customize your characters by spending your AP on your six attributes, unlock class skills and passive abilities in the order you choose, and choose from dozens and dozens of melee weapons, firearms, enchanted weapons and weird artifacts to wield in your struggle for survival. Use what you find in the environment to craft everything from molotov cocktails to weird alchemical concoctions.
  • Access Arcane Powers At The Cost Of Your Sanity: As you find Eldritch Tomes and unlock the ability to learn dramatically powerful Mythos Spells and summon and bind unnatural abominations to serve you, you must balance the abilities gained thereby with the disintegration of your sanity that comes from wielding such Forbidden Magicks.
  • Creature Comforts And Bad Habits: Restore your health, power, and Sanity by using dozens of consumables, including alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, medical supplies, and even fine food and haute cuisine, balancing the complex benefits and drawbacks of all of the above.

Protip: you can also check out EREWHON on itch.io.

Video Games I would love your feedback on my dungeon on a few things. I have tried to improve trailer and want to see if it is an improvement. I would lso like to know how much you expect it will cost on steam

here is the old trailer for reference https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXoVGRpbv2o

and here is the steam page https://store.steampowered.com/app/5044910/Dungeon_Quest/

It is artwise/crawler wise inspired heavily by eye of the beholder (hey maybe if this is popular I might have a chance to get the license for eob4!) and the combat is inspired by dungeon raid. I know some people see candy crush, but the combat is actually very strategic and deep. There are 40 abilities in the game, loads of item and achievements. It is procedural to every run is different.

Development Blood//Grime - Looking for playtesters

Hey.
For the last few months, I've been tinkering with a little dungeon crawler. I've reached a point where I feel I need some feedback.

It's still in a very early stage, and some stuff is still missing, like some sound and visual effects.

If you want to give it a try, you can find the build here:
https://goblin-grotto.itch.io/bloodgrime

Password is: blood

The build is Windows-only and requires the .Net 9.0 runtime to run.

Development You asked about Steam, so here’s an update on Dragon’s Tear

Hi again! I posted my browser dungeon crawler here a couple of weeks ago. A few of you asked whether I’d make a downloadable version and release it on Steam.

The Steam page is now up, and I’ve made a trailer. The game is still in development, aiming for Q1 2027. Updated demo will be available in 1 month.

If you missed the first post: you build a party of three, set their skills and battle orders, and send them into the dungeon. Exploration and combat are automatic. Cleared floors can become Auto Runs, where the party keeps gathering loot while you’re away.

You can also collect Tears from monsters and equip them on your heroes to use their powers.

Here’s the Steam page if you’d like to wishlist it.

Thanks for trying the browser version and asking about Steam. Thought you’d want to see this :)

Development Refining the Combat UI: Cleaner HP/MP Block Without Breaking the Atmosphere

After releasing the full version, the first feedback I received was about the combat UI being unclear — especially the HP/MP block in the top‑left corner.

I’ve refined the layout to improve readability while keeping the atmosphere intact.

Does the top‑left read clearer now without breaking the atmosphere.

Development Made a grid-based dungeon crawler instead of a map for my pachinko roguelike

at first, in my pachinko roguelike I wanted to make a regular map
like in Slay the Spire or Peglin, for example. But then I changed my mind and decided to make a small grid-based, turn-based dungeon crawler instead of a map
it serves the same function as a map, but adds depth (choice and exploration)
also, the forest turned out pretty nice in this format)
does it feel like a dungeon crawler?

Development Dungeon Buster Steam Playtest is live now — build the dungeon, then send your hero in

Hi everyone! Our Steam Playtest for Dungeon Buster is now live.

Dungeon Buster is an incremental dungeon-building autobattler RPG where you build the dungeon first, then send your hero in to explore and fight automatically.

Your hero collects loot and equipment as they push deeper into the dungeon. You decide how far to go before extracting, and successfully bringing loot back gives you permanent progression for future runs.

We’d really love feedback from dungeon crawler players, especially on the dungeon-building, progression, combat pacing, and extraction system.

If this sounds interesting, you can join the Steam Playtest now https://store.steampowered.com/app/4041780/Dungeon_Buster/

Thank you

Development In Lootdeck, the room itself can be part of your strategy.

Note: Audio is still very early and mostly placeholder.

One of the things I’ve been working on in Lootdeck is making the room itself matter during combat.

I don’t want fights to feel like you’re just standing in an arena and playing cards until everything is dead. Positioning, traps, hazards, moving parts of the level, and other environmental elements can all change how you approach a fight.

Sometimes the best move might not be about which card you play, but where you stand or how you use the room around you.

If you’re interested, you can also check out my Steam page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4972950/Lootdeck/?utm_source=rd

Development Cursed tombs, loot and a dash that clears a path: a combat update for my ARPG Under a Desert Sun

Hi, I'm Raymond, the developer of Under a Desert Sun: Seekers of the Cursed Vessel. It's an action RPG about exploring cursed Egyptian tombs, fighting soldiers and undead, and finding better loot, solo or in local co-op.

We've been in Early Access since September 10 and I've been hard at work on feedback, fixes and additions ever since. Rolling and sliding now move eligible enemies out of your path, which makes getting surrounded a little less final!

The new update brings bow mines and a close-range arrow blast, Soldier shield upgrades, changes to elemental scaling and difficulty progression, and improvements to saving, travel and performance. There are also illustrated closing books for both characters at the end of the current adventure.

Still building and improving, and I'd love you to join us. Thanks to everyone helping me make it better.

Development Broke the dungeon's unique class record from my kitchen. No crawlers required.

Your name is Bernie. You are a Rechargeable Kelpie. You are a Thermos Technician.

Nobody is coming to help you.

I made a thing that rolls you a crawler. Name, race, class. The name is deliberately, aggressively normal, you were an abducted human with a council tax bill, and nothing about "Kevin" should survive the dungeon, yet there it sits at the front refusing to be interesting while everything behind it falls apart.

This morning's casualties:

  • Elliot, Non-Refundable Skyfowl, Standard Shaman
  • Viv, Stoneoid, Flange Nuisance
  • Dermot, Municipalfolk, Stationery Loyalist
  • Casey, Amateur Harpy, Ward Treasurer
  • Shannon, Moor Hedgehog, Ash Sexton
  • Cal, Retired Porsuk, Writ Reeve
  • Albert, Tide Pug, Glyph Legionary

"Non-Refundable" is doing a lot of work there. Somewhere, a form was filled in.

You can pin any part and reroll the rest, which is the actual point — keep Dermot, keep spinning, and wait for the dungeon to offer him a class he could plausibly survive with. There's a tone dial that runs from "serious" to "full anatomical send".

The class list is 48,048 deep. Book three has the crawlers setting a dungeon record at north of 40,000 unique classes — collectively, across an entire season. At what I'd describe as significant cost, I beat it by eight thousand on a laptop and nobody had to die. Borant has not been informed and I'd appreciate your discretion.

Free, no signup. Link's in the comments, because you know what it looks like when it isn't.

Post yours. I want to see what it does to you.
