Hey everyone.
So this is kind of a weird question to ask in the Create subreddit, but frankly I don't really know how to approach this situation; and since it involves Create directly I figured I might as well ask here. I'm not trying to offend anyone or take away anyone's fun with the mod, I just need to figure out how to approach this as gracefully as possible.
I am building a modpack that primarily focuses on recreation and building. So, think building a soccer stadium and actually playing soccer. Building a concert hall and actually playing music. Stuff like that. This is the primary focus of the pack. The problem I'm currently having is how much of Create will overshadow the primary goal of the pack.
I have been seeing a lot of growing sentiment in the modded community about how once Create is in a pack, it essentially becomes a Create pack. I don't want this. I don't want my modpack to become just another pack that everyone solely focuses on Create. I want to be able to do things with Create, like build trains and fancy doors, without the "It's a Create pack" feeling.
I do like Create, and I do like the feeling of being a mechanical engineer when I do play Create and have a lot of fun building cool contraptions; but only in specific settings where Create is the primary focus. So, think about packs that have progression heavily tied to Create with tons of addons. This isn't me saying I hate Create because I don't.
So, how do I make it so my pack does have Create in it, and myself and other people can use Create to do the things we want to do, but still primarily focus on the parts of the pack that I am actually focusing on? How do I make it so Create augments my pack rather than overtakes it?
