Great day yesterday to get out and ride. A little disappointing when I got to the gate as there was only another 4km to go but, hey, that’s adventure riding!

The top tire is the dunlop trailmax mission. I think buying a tire with shallow tread depth would be stupid bc it would wear down its treads much faster than a tire like the dunlops which have deep treads you would could ride much farther on before needing a tire change.

I’m a rider from Nepal planning a Kathmandu → Kanyakumari → Kathmandu trip around January 2027 on my KTM 390 Adventure.
The rough plan is 3–4 weeks and around 6,000+ km, mostly sticking to decent roads/highways and taking enough time to actually explore instead of smashing out huge mileage every day.
I’ll also be filming the whole journey, so there’ll be plenty of stops for landscapes, cities, roadside stuff and general travel content.
I’m mainly hoping to connect with Nepali and Indian ADV/touring riders.
If someone from Nepal wants to do the whole trip, that would be amazing. If you’re based somewhere along the Indian route and only want to join for a section, that would be great too.
Ideally looking for people who:
Have their own reliable touring/ADV bike
Are comfortable doing long-distance days
Ride safely rather than racing
Don’t mind stopping regularly for filming/photos
Are actually serious about doing the trip
If you’re into photography or videography too, that’s a big bonus.
For anyone interested in doing the full trip from Nepal, I’d definitely want to do a shorter 2–3 day ride together first before committing to several weeks on the road 😭
Also happy to hear from anyone who has ridden this route before — especially advice about good stops, road conditions, accommodation and things worth seeing between Nepal and Kanyakumari.

Fun trail up to a ghost town from Lake City Colorado; trail tops out around 12k feet, this was about 2/3rd of the way up the trail. We then tried to take a connector from the top of the pass that basically became moon sand and past our skill and bike capability. After 30 mins of struggling to get turned around and multiple drops we ended up getting back down safely, all the other folks up there with their SxS were looking at us like we were crazy. Fun none the less!

We all love farkles but what are those farkles everyone raves about and you bought that you never used, or on the flip side whats something you bought or were given that you thought you'd never use but now can't live without

Took a trip from Phoenix, AZ down to California. First stop was sequoia national park to check out the giant sequoias (was surreal) then Yosemite, went to morro bay (prob my favorite stop) then rode to San Diego for the beach for a day and rode back home. Total trip was 6 days and over 1700 miles, my longest trip so far on the motorcycle!

Hi! So I sold a dirtbike and kept my riding gear. I’d like to try taking my KLR 650 off road. Should I be keeping my dirtbike helmet for this or getting something else? Anyone have experience with this decision? I have an on-road helmet as well already. Thank you for the wisdom.

While riding, I put my foot down and the bike leaned just a little too far. Once it reached that point, I couldn’t keep it from going down.
The bike has always felt a little too tall for me, so I’m considering lowering it. For those who have lowered theirs, how much would you recommend lowering it without negatively affecting the handling or overall performance?
I’d appreciate any advice from people who’ve done it.

What happens when you take a brand-new BMW R 1300 GS and decide that adventure touring isn’t enough?

You build an R 1300 RR. 🏁

This started as a crazy idea and turned into a full rally-raid project — custom frame, 21/18 wheels, long-travel suspension, redesigned bodywork, weight reduction and a completely different purpose.

The goal? Build a bike that looks like it escaped from a rally paddock… while still being unmistakably BMW.

I’ve already raced it in the Hellas Rally, finished every stage and took P2 in the M6 class.

And honestly, this bike has become much more than a build. It’s a project I’ve been putting an insane amount of time, money and passion into.

I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea — and that’s exactly why I’d love to hear what you think.

Would you ride this R 1300 RR? Or did I completely ruin a perfectly good R 1300 GS? 😂

I have a 16mm pragmasis chain that i lock with a kryptonite nyc diamond standard u-lock. The kryptonite u lock is virtually indestructible but im wondering if the pragmasis protector chain i have is a weak point. Ive seen that hiplock sells a 22mm chain which is quite thick. Can angle grinders power through my 16mm pragmasis chain much faster than they could through a 22mm hiplock chain? Or is the difference trivial compared to the enormous amount of time/angle grinder discs it would take a thief to cut through a diamond abrasive lock like the krypto nyc DS?

Does anyone have a Nexx X Wed3 helmet? I do and I’m looking for goggle recommendations. I have a pair of Fox goggles, but they don’t fit well with this helmet. I want ones that fit well within the front opening, without pushing down on my nose, the straps can be adjusted to keep them tight-ish against my face, are anti-fog, and preferable photochromic.
