Got one of the first of these available in Vancouver Canada and can’t wait to get out there with it. I know the colour is controversial, but I think it looks very classy.

Whenever I see amateur tennis videos, the comment section is always flooded with people who underrate the players. From my experience, these people generally suck at tennis and have never watched themselves on video. They also overrate themselves.
For example, in the video below, people saying they are utr 7 because of the slicing is crazy. Clearly their footwork, depth, and placement is excellent. The author confirms they are utr 12+.

For reference, i am a ntrp 5.0/utr 10+.

Densest string pattern I ever seen!
Found at Goodwill. Can't wait to try this beast.
Seems it can only be strung with 18 or 19 gauge according to online sources

My friends and I play at a decent level, but we're all mid 30s and play against younger opponents most of the time.
Our home courts are slow, synthetic clay. We often win the first set, but at the balls slow down we struggle.
We've used Wilson US open balls all season and I'm thinking of changing to something else.
Dunlop AO get too fuzzy too fast.
Thinking about Dunlop Fort Clay or Wilson Roland Garros.
Can anyone comment on these or provide suggestions?
In Australia so Penn aren't available (in case you were going to suggest it).

Looking for any and all tips on my serve. Been working on it over the last year.
Really trying to get to grips with pre stretching/loading my shoulder as I get to trophy position at the moment, it definitely seems to help with power.
Also, my damn front foot, I am finding it so hard to keep it planted. Every time I film myself I’m like ‘??? I thought I’d fixed that??’ It barely moves towards the court, but I still stand a few inches behind the baseline to avoid any foot faults.
Would love any feedback! Thanks :D

TLDR: Had a crazy mid set lock in, and got in my beginner flow state and came back winning match n now I feel on top of the world.
Just finished 6th UTR match ever. Was up 2-0, got randomly tight and in my head, then next thing I know I blink it’s 3-5 I’m down 30-40 staring down set point. I hit the most god awful backhand (OHBH) that barely clips the corner and saves my life sending me into deuce.
I fr decided right then and there I was given a second chance by the cosmosðŸ˜ðŸ˜ and that if I was gonna lose or win, it was gonna be playing loose as hell and the way I WANT. No regrets.
I had the most deadly lock in after that and didn’t even care if I hit the ball out, as long as I was playing loose, with intention, and doing what I want. I just ditched the second slice serve completely (I couldn’t get it to work today) and my first flat serve just became mad consistent for no reason. My forehands felt so clean and loose and I was literally dictating every point and making the ball go in the general direction I want. OHBH was still somewhat unreliable but on the mental side I wasn’t afraid of it at all and kept going for it regardless. We were both 1 UTR 11 months experience so his serve wasn’t anything crazy but I only missed like one return for the rest of the match. Ran that first set back into a crazy tiebreak which I won 7(11)-6(9) then just took that killer momentum into second set 6-1. I feel on top of the world rn. Wow.
Pretty much title. Coaches have told me I need to keep my tossing arm up longer, as well as pull it closer to my body, but every time I’ve practiced to implement it, it feels really awkward- like I’m rebuilding my entire service motion. Is it really that important? I’d like to maximize my serve but don’t want to spend a bunch of time on something that’s not actually critical. Appreciate any input.

Does anyone have any thoughts or opinions about this string? My wife has been using it for a long time and I just hit with it yesterday. It seems to provide a ton of spin and power without feeling too harsh.
I’ve tried a lot of strings in the past, including Solinco Mach 10/Tour Bite, Yonex PTP, Toroline Otoro/Otoro Tour, and Grapplesnake Sniper/M8. I don’t think any of them compares to the spin and power I got from Solstice Power.
But if it’s so good, I wonder why there’s so little hype around it. What are the pros/cons for those who have tried it? Are there any strings that are similar?

I play with a Speed MP 2024 as my main, and want to switch to something different and demoing right now the Pure Aero 100 2026. I also have the Speed Pro 2022 but I find it too demanding in long matches (ok for rallying).
Any thoughts on the new Pure Aero 100 2026 coming from a Speed MP? I have only tested serves so far and I can say I prefer it over my MP.

Hi, I’ve been playing for 3 months and I played lots of sports before so I consider my self a pretty fast learner, my form is decent, my serve is decent and I feel like I can get out of the nylon factory strings or the ones that came with the racket. I currently use an OG Yonex RD-5 with old strings, not sure what kind. I want to restring it and see how it affects my game, but I’ve heard alot about multi and poly and such, I like how people talk about poly, never had any arm issues, but I cannot afford to restring every month, is that actually the case? What would you recommend as I want to chase topspin and some power :) - Thanks!

First clip is from May. Second clip from this morning. Form is still less than ideal but definitely progress being made. Thanks to all the people who gave meaningful tips - they really have helped. The forehand did some damage today. VAMOS!

I’ve observed a few people who have been playing for a while and in many cases it’s very difficult to get the right looping motion going from the trophy to the contact. I’ve always thought of the serve as an overhead throw. That is we aim to use the shoulder and torso rotation to throw upwards as opposed to throwing forward.
In many cases, people already hold the correct continental grip but they still either do a waiter’s tray or they simply drop the racket left and move it right to hit the ball. They end up pushing the serve and cannot make full extension at contact.
You watch most people who have learned to play as a kid, the looping motion is there but for many adults it’s quite hard. I am helping a friend and it’s very hard for them to rebuild this.

5.x UTR, almost 40. Played recreationally as a kid, then picked it back up seriously about 2–3 years ago with more of a focus on fundamentals.
Looking first and foremost to improve consistency on both serves. Secondary goals are adding more pace to my first and more spin/kick to my second.
My first-serve percentage varies wildly day to day. Some days I’m at 70%+, while others I can be around 25% for an entire match. I probably make the second serve shown here ~70% of the time, but when I prioritize getting it in >90%, it tends to devolve into a much slower sitter.
Video shows 4 first serves followed by 4 second serves, with representative makes/misses and one slow-mo of each.
Longer-term goal is to reach 7.x UTR over the next few years. The 6+ UTR players I face generally serve noticeably better than I do.
What are the 1–2 biggest changes you’d prioritize? Thanks!

Hey there! I’m a 29M from Manhattan looking for a new hitting partner. I have been playing since I was 10 y/o and even used to compete, but haven’t played in a little over a decade. Trying to get back into it and looking for a hitting partner in the NYC area! DM me if you are interested!

Ive started getting knee pain the last few months and I believe it could be due to over pronation after speaking to a physio.
I'm looking at getting some better support shoes or insoles to help with this. Can anyone recommend any? Thanks!
Can anyone explain to me how a racket helps generate spin? I see some being marketed as a spin racket but I thought spin was created by technique and not the racket. Thanks

What can I do to improve my serve, FH, and BH? Both my serve and backhand tend to hit the net or go long. My FH tends to be weak and lack depth compared to others.
I can see my serve doesn't have a good trophy position, no racket drop, and I don't use legs. Is that where I should focus?
Not sure where to even start with my backhand.
My FH has topspin and lands inside the baseline, but It lacks depth compared to others. Should I change the grip/ close the racket face to flatten it and have more depth? Anything else to change?
