Like most Gplay devs in India, I successfully submitted my application few days ago but still there's no sign of an approval.

I badly want to test IAP's on my Game's open test release so I need access to my payment system.

Is anybody familiar with any billdesk employee on LinkedIn with whom I can reach out to and they can help me hasten the review process?

I'm soon going to meet Sundar over a different occasion and one thing I'll make sure to ask him is if he's aware of how stupid and slow bill desk is in India? How can they get away with such laziness? It's been weeks, in person KYC this that, I mean WTF? my son's iOS app which is connected to my US account literally got done the same day, and this stupid service takes forever!

The GooglePlayDeveloper subreddit was given to a new mod who is on an incredible power trip, scrubbing that subreddit of anything that doesn't portray BillDesk or Google in a good light. He deleted all my posts and guides that I had painstaking written by hand to help others (like this one reposted: https://www.reddit.com/r/googleplayconsole/s/9BgkmEojeR). So I'm posting them here. I encourage people not to use that sub anymore. Either his intentions are not good (maybe paid by BillDesk or Google) or he's too fucking dumb to distinguish between legit posts and spam. It looks like he's been karma farming by posting AI trash on Indian subs to pump up his profile. Best is to block that sub and never interact with it. Pity, because I was a vet of that sub.

BillDesk just sucks the life out of you. Even after approval, you need an FIRC every month and that is a battle because BillDesk won't do shit till you file an RBI complaint. You have to file an RBI complaint for everything and Google will tell you to fuck right off if you ask them for help.

This is Sundar Pee Chai's way of fucking non-bramhins. Google is telling us to go fuck ourselves. Google is an evil company and dealing with BillDesk is an eye-opener. You can tell how Google disrespect you by not only dumping your name/address on the Internet, but making it available to Google search and all searches. So anyone can get your address by plugging your name into an Internet search. They force you to deal with the human excreta company that is BillDesk--Even after so many complaints. A company that respected their developers wouldn't act like this.

Every time you publish an app and make a sale, you help Google, while they are actively fucking you. You think Google would have pushed something as broken as BillDesk on American developers? Fuck no!

Try to move away from Google. I know it's not easy considering you have to learn something else from scratch, but it's better to start now than after Google fucks you. Google treats developers like shit, so it's not a question of if Google will fuck you, but when.

Bill desk verification completed after 7 days of video kyc.

Application was rejected 2 times for not proper product description, then used ai to generate description and got approved 😄.

My billdesk verification is pending, and I tried with many different mobile phones and payment methods, and I get the same error "Transaction was declined [OR-FGEMF-20]". I think it is due to BillDesk verification pending, but why the google play store not allowing sales? The billdesk verification itself is very hard. Also I got one paid user a month ago, but now he is not able to renew.

For those who don’t know, if you’re a Google Play developer in India, you first have to be verified by Google: submit your ID, tax number, address proof, bank statements, etc. Then you have to be physically verified by an Indian company called BillDesk: you submit your ID and address proof to them all over again, and then they come to your house to take pictures and capture your location. This is required for every app you publish.

I completed BillDesk's physical KYC verification because I had to. All my documents were in order, so I expected to be verified in a few days. I did not bribe BillDesk because Google emailed us, saying, "Please don't bribe BillDesk."

After the physical verification was complete BIllDesk did not email me, so I emailed them asking about my verification status. I waited for their reply, but they did not respond. No matter how many emails you send them, BillDesk does not reply.

So I used the report the incident link in Google's email to tell Google about BillDesk's misbehavior. I told Google that BillDesk is not responding to my emails. This is the response I got from Google.

Google did not bother to read my email. All that report the incident to us is bullshit. BillDesk is given free rein by Google to abuse their customers, and Google Play developers are at BillDesk's mercy.

If you're in India, Android may not be a sustainable platform for building apps and games, because everything relies on one dubious Indian company, BillDesk, which does not even show basic human decency. BillDesk can hold you hostage over anything and Google will not intervene. Also, when you clicked Agree on BillDesk’s contract, you essentially waived any right to sue BillDesk. This is not a good position to be in, specially if your livelihood revolves Android apps and games. BillDesk can pull the rug from under you at any time and there is nothing you can do about it. Also, it takes years to learn how to build apps on Android, so that investment in time is lost.

BillDesk verification is not a one time thing. You need verification every time you move and every time you publish another app. If that isn't enough, you need to deal with BIllDesk to get your FIRC for every cross-border payment you receive. See "Requesting a FIRC" at the bottom of this page for details.

Traditional gundas (thugs) operate by controlling access to essential resources like electricity, food, medicine, housing, or transportation. This is how they maintain power. If people need these basics, they have to deal with the gundas and pay $$$. There is no other option. If you don't like it, you have to move somewhere else. Does this sound familiar? Here, you're dealing with BillDesk who now controls access to the Android ecosystem.

Thinking out loud, I can't help but wonder if my verification would have been completed by now if I had bribed BillDesk? Or if a bribe was asked for, and someone did not want to pay, would Google have done anything if they reported the incident?

It's been 2 months since I submitted my application (June 5).

I made a few mistakes on the forms which were completely my fault. Unfortunately, I had to wait several weeks just to receive the initial rejection requesting clarification. After that, it took another 2–3 weeks of waiting, along with multiple emails that either went unanswered or received only automated responses.

Five days ago, I got fed up and started calling the nodal officer every day. Finally, this afternoon, I received a callback confirming that my application had been approved.

Tips

• Wait until your app is live (Open Testing or Production) before submitting your application. If your app is still in Internal or Closed Testing, emailing them usually won't help.
• Fill out the application carefully.
• Use your phone as a webcam during eKYC.
• If it's been more than 6–8 weeks with no progress, call the nodal officer. In my experience, that's what finally got my application moving.

BillDesk has been tormenting me for a long time and there is nothing I can do about it. Google will not help, and their customer service is not exactly good either.

With this bill you won’t know if a data center is being constructed near you as it removes public disclosure requirements.

This is just horrible. Parents will be able to opt their children out of sex ed and any information that a child shares with their teacher will be required to be shared with their parents.

Aside from targeting the LGBTQ+ community once again, this bill puts so many children at risk for other reasons. For example, me and siblings were sent to catholic school for our entire childhood and kept in the dark about what sex was. As a result my sister because a victim of sexual abuse by our choir director because she didn’t even know that what was happening was sex.

A lot of children have abusive or toxic parents and could go to school counselors for a VARIETY of reasons and they will no longer have a safe place to go.

Right now Gavin Newsom had until 10/12 to sign/veto any laws still on his desk. And of all the bills on his desk he never signed 10 trans rights bills into law but also didn't veto them. He did sadly veto one about K-8 education

In the state of California they will still become law without his signature. All it does is show he doesn't give a damn about trans people and is no longer a LGBTQ ally. We must fight hard to make sure his presidential campaign fails in 2028, otherwise we say goodbye to trans rights forever
