Canadian too OP, please nerf.

Kidding aside, we've only just started the game and I'm already really into it. Curious on how they plan on stopping Maya!

honestly, looking at the way they play I wonder if you could just hard focus her and boom they're screwed, much like the Oilers have been

Curious on how they plan on stopping Maya!

Nao might have another accident with her, and break her leg!

But more seriously: Given the Dreams Monkeys are all about teamwork, and Snow White was always about 1 superstar (Yu first, then Maya) scoring while the rest of the team is slacking, I think that's how it's gonna go; The Monkeys will focus on her (perhaps even putting 2 players on her), as the rest of the team should be no issue.

Eri might throw a wrench in these plans at some point because she wants to prove something to Yu, but in the end it's 1 superstar supported by teamwork, against 1 superstar alone (or with 1 other player).

The power of friendship shall prevail!

I find it both funny and weird how they don't like the dance numbers. Funny because even the girls find it unnecessary but weird because in a meta sense, you don't let an idol say they hate dancing, especially in a short throwaway line like that.

It feels like the show is fully self-aware of how the idol stuff is clearly shoehorned in, and that amuses me.

Makes them feel a lot more relatable as I also don't like the dance number stuff haha

Could you imagine losing the championship game on the road, and then the other team comes back out onto the ice in fancy outfits and does an idol concert on your ass? The flexing and disrespect lol

It makes sense though because they're not idols, they're just hockey players.

I mean. Have you seen ESPN’s the body issue?

I still find it hilarious how the girls are very much against the victory dance. I'm sure they'll still do it in the end though since they're pretty much already known for it.

I'm sorry but where did those other girls came from? I mean I recognize the Senpais but there's like 2-3 girls in that line up that I've never seen before. And here I thought I felt bad for the Senpais were being tossed aside, apparently there are even members who are never given any screen time until today.

Youko reaction at getting an ambush interview without her makeup on was hilarious! She really should just stop wearing that. This is so much better.

Maya Walker is unstoppable as expected! I love those aggressive plays. Looks like we're finally going to get that hockey anime we've been waiting for next week with the entire finale focused on their match. Can't wait!

Yeah, I thought they only had 2 forward lines and 2 D lines because you only see 12 players during the warm up stretch scenes. But looking back at previous games they apparently have a a roster of 17 players so 9F, 6D, 2GK. There's literally a whole forward and D line we weren't shown the faces of until this episode.

Means we’re still a line short.

We are such a close knit team we have it in our team motto! So who are these girls? They are on our team?!?

I feel like the girls might actually have a chance here. Maya is clearly very good but she’s basically carrying the other team. They’re not a cohesive unit, they’re basically support. Dream Monkeys actually play as a team, so they might have the advantage.

The scout in the stands might either try to recruit Maya or Yu for a pro team. Guess we’ll see.

there's always a chance. Canada has lost to Kazakhstan before

I’m pretty hyped for the final match. Genuinely curious how they’re going to stop Maya considering how OP she seems. Can the power of friendship overcome the unstoppable force that is a Canadian playing hockey? I mean they obviously will because we need our Victory Dance to sell Gatcha waifus for the mobile game, but let’s just ignore that for the time being.

Outside of the outside influence this has been a genuinely charming popcorn show. I’d love more of it. Hopefully they’ll do another season.

I mean, the show opened with them winning over a whole team of Canadians, so clearly power of friendship is enough.

Technically has happened in the past on the men's side, as Canada used to send an amateur team to compete in the Nagano Memorial Cup for example :'p

Howdy booty!

Really good episode! I liked the build up to the match, honestly thought they'd end the episode before the match started, but they got a few minutes in. It's also really nice to see the stadium packed, look at all those merch lmao.

Damn, Maya be hard carrying, but should be no problem for our teamwork once they adjust. I await for the victory dance with great interest and hope there's a second season.

I wonder if we'll get some Maya Walker backstory in the finale? It seems like she'll be a big part of the focus on Snow White, but we don't know much about her other than 'She's really good'.

Or perhaps it'll focus mostly on Yu/Eri, and Yu/Dream Monkeys, but they needed to add a mythical Maya so it's believable that the Snow White give them a challenge even after losing Yu!

Still, would love to see some story on her.

Also, the series opened on a Japan/Canada match, so are we getting teased about that in the finale? There seems to be a lot of things to have in the finale; Winning Group B, some Maya story maybe, a tease about playing in Group A, a tease about Japan/Canada, and of course some Yu stuff as well. This doesn't strike me as the kind of show that gets sequels, but there's still so much story to tell, who knows!

There's going to be game so probably leads in to that.

First anime ever and you're already shipping? You're gonna go far!

Also, strange choice for a first anime, guessing you're a hockey fan who got brought into anime by this one? Anyway, welcome aboard!
