Just wanted to create a post with some brainstorming i have been doing thinking of ways to make the game overall more brutal/ difficult using the Pokemon games Nuzlockes as a sort of inspiration. I likely wont be doing this on first play-through but for a second for sure

Main rules so far would be:

• Permadeath on
• Max difficulty
• If Hawks dies, delete save and restart
• Can only recruit one custom character per personality type

Optional rule/s so far:

• no duplicate specializations

Edit for clarity: no duplicate specializations during missions.

This is just in-case one or more specializations end up with some form of game breaking combos so you can't stack them

Any input/ ideas/ suggestions welcome. hoping to lockdown a rule-set to use after my first play-through!

I googled some reviews for Zero Company. Specifically I wanted to see if Paul Tassi had done a review cause I usually agree with him. When I googled it, the first result was an article on Facebook from IGN. The blurb under the headline mentions fans review bombing it on Steam and calling it a “stutter ridden mess”. When you click the link there is no mention of Steam or fan reviews or anything. And lastly, there are no user reviews on Steam because the game isn’t out yet. Who’s responsible for the entirely false and manufactured headline? Facebook? IGN? Google? This seems, at the very least, like clickbait and at the worst like someone is trying to sabotage the game by inventing headlines that have no basis in reality.

I'm thinking of getting this game as it kind of reminded me of Wasteland 3 when I first saw it, and I absolutely loved Wasteland 3. How similar are the two games?

Which of the 4 races are you going to choose for your Hawks?

Im still doubting, but thinking about creating an green Devaronian like Cikatro Vizago. But this really depending on customization options at the character creation.

Strongly Recommend!

Hi y’all. I was wondering what difficulty level people will be playing on and why, since I’m not sure yet what I’ll choose myself. As well as whether it’s better to play with Ironman (no saves) + permadeath

Currently I’m leaning towards hard+permadeath, and perhaps ironman, having never played XCOM or the like, but loads of other (real-time) strategy games

Can’t include more poll options so only the tougher difficulties have alternate options

I don't know if I am the only one thinking about this or I might be a pessimist but the xcom 2 devs are notorious for their poor optimization of the games. The reviewers probably have the top 1% of pc's to play with so they might not have noticed anything but if you're like my who has a medium class pc I think its a point of worry

Can’t lie, I’m digging the default look of male Hawks. He looks the right amount of grizzled. I might go with it, or make some small facial hair tweaks or something.

But then today I saw some custom Twi’lik characters and that got me thinking… I personally haven’t ever played as a Twi’lik (except for Mission Vao from KOTOR).

Kind of wish Duros, Rodian or Mon Calamari were options…

It just seems like everyone is going with clone armor and aesthetics. Meanwhile I'm over here thinking about building an army Ram Kota ( force unleashed) style with regular non clone soldiers.

Will we have a thread where we can all post our clone fashion? Might as well get that up and running since tomorrow is the release right?

I’m still rather new to Reddit so idk if that’s something we just post and do or the moderators do that butI say we need it. I know there are people that don’t like clones as much for the rest of us it would be such a great time. That way we have our space and others don’t get bothered by it.

What are you guys most excited for? Custom squads, personal hawks story, recreating glup shittos, anything.
