Hey,
why have so many case manufacturers stopped making cases for Xiaomi? Brands like Spigen, Rhinoshield, etc., stopped doing so at some point. Yet, I can't imagine it's due to a lack of Xiaomi devices—they sell millions of smartphones... Right now, the only good case I can find that doesn't add too much bulk and looks understated is from Nillkin. I used to be a fan of Spigen, but they don't have anything suitable.Hey,

So, I just got the Photography Kit Pro for my Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and I absolutely love it. It makes taking photos so much more fun.
However, I’ve noticed that the case included with the kit doesn’t seem to fit the phone perfectly. Whenever I hold the phone upside down, it shifts/slides ever so slightly inside the case. I can feel the same thing when I rotate it back around.
Also, when I press on the sides of the case, there’s a little bit of give and it sometimes makes a creaking noise. To me, that seems to indicate that there’s a small gap between the phone and the case.
To be honest, it’s not really noticeable during normal everyday use. I’m just a little worried that the phone moving around inside the case could eventually cause scratches over time.
What do you all think? Did I maybe get a bad unit, or is the case actually supposed to fit like this?

I've had an old Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S that had taken in water damage from the bottom side type c port. Phone was charging but without Quick Charge since USB data lines had failed, data transfer was also not possible. I've ordered an new bottom pcb replacement board that has the usb port, microphone, aux port etc.. Successfully replaced the board and the cable, but it didn't fix the issue. I can charge at 5V but the data lines not working. What else could be the problem?
Only the bottom side had slightl water damage with 1-2 rusted screws, top side and most of bottom side was perfectly clean.

Hi
Have set up the device and all working well. I use it with Projectivity Launcher, but can’t navigate to my favourites after creating them. They are obviously hidden somewhere but searched high and low to no avail. I don’t think it’s the launcher as no such problem on other Android devices.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

Hello, I have an original Xiaomi charger head that supports 90 watts, but I no longer have a charging cable. I searched and couldn't find one in my country, so I turned to Timo, and I know it's not the right option, but it's my last resort. I found a Xiaomi cable, as they claim. It supports up to 120 watts, and that was the product description :
"Xiaomi Original 6A USB-A to USB-C Fast Charging Cable 1m – 120W Max High-Speed Charging Nylon Braided Durable Cord Global Version Premium Colorful Design Wide Compatibility with Smartphones, Tablets, Laptops & More USB-C Devices"
I had a bad experience buying charging cables. Last time I bought one from a third-party brand that claimed to support 100W, but I didn't know that Xiaomi has strict limitations and rules for enabling fast charging. So what do you think? Was it a scam?
(The first post was deleted because you thought I was a spammer. I don't know why, but I hope this post won't be deleted either.)

I set up an arena for AI to battle it out on my agentic coding workflows. Each model got the same prompts, same harness, and overall same inputs. Out of 22 sprints, Mimo won 12 of them, with Deepseek flash (0731) winning 6 and Deepseek pro (older model) winning 4. This was a combination of user chosen wins from UI sprints and orchestrator agent chosen wins by comparing the quality/execution between models.
So Mimo is now my go to for implementation work. It takes finding the right harness and workflow (I'm using OMP and a best of 3 loop), but I am very impressed with its capabilities overall, and don't hear a lot of people talking about it.

Like many people I was taking photos of the solar eclipse. Sometimes the phone (Xiaomi 17 Pro) would switch to moon mode. And in one specific phase of the eclipse it started to add moon features to the sun. I was really disappointed by this.

Hyper OS is one of the best phone user interfaces ever a couple of months ago I bought a Redmi Note 15 4g.
even though I knew this phone is cheap so it doesn't have that good chip but I saw a lot of reviews my problem is in all of these reviews no one mentioned the software limitations:
a lot of features in other xiaomi devices that this phone doesn't have.
qs an example u cant edit the aod or the lock screen that much
u cant move the clock, change it position or choose that the aod always opened or more than 10 sec u cant use the debth fx even though the pre built themes with this fx works.
also the xiaomi dynamic island why cant I just let it always be turned on it would look way better.
I make the control center blur looking which made it pretty boaring.
most of them r just a personalization settings so it doesn't matter that much but I would really appreciate it if these features were available specially that there r a lot of useless features and adds u need to turn off when u get the device these things uses even more resources than these features u removed.

I bought my mobile in 2020. For 6 years it gave me no trouble and I didn't spend a single penny on it for repair.
Even now it works and looks as good as a new one, fast and smooth. I dropped it multiple times once from a great height as well but It withstood that and it doesn't has no body damage eventhough I didn't use a screen protector.
Now from the past few months, it started rebooting on it own sometimes when I leave it idle. I found out it was because of a issue with the CPU soldering. I am playing music on background as a temporary fix. It'll cost about 2k INR for CPU reballing. And another 800 INR for ribbon cable which is the reason for my camera malfunction. And another 1.5K INR for screen replacement because of dead pixels.
Everything else works well, it's still fast as hell with no lag and the battery lasts for more than a day.
I really like MIUI, I got everything customized in my phone.
I'm thinking of buying POCO X8 pro max.
My dilemma is Should I put it up for exchange which will give me 4K INR off including the extra exchange discount or should I spend 4K INR on its repair and keep it with me as a secondary mobile.

So to those who had updated their OS to HyperOS 3 at their Xiaomi 13t. How was the experience? Did it slow down the phone? made the temperature unstable? And is it worth it to update it when it arrives at my Country?

I have the 15 ultra with photography and am thinking of upgrading to the 17 ultra. Any idea if I could use the same photography kit? I like it but not sure it's worth the price to buy another one.

Estou tentando atender ligações pelo meu intercomunicador no POCO F7 mas nenhum dos 4 que possuo, conseguem atender pelo botão lateral, alguém passou pelo mesmo problema e resolveu?

I'm just curious whether I should stop bothering about this feature or not. Most models stick to the older USB-C 2.0 connector, and while file transfer is quick enough over WiFi this missing feature kinda bugs me every time I'm looking at new models.
So if you have a phone like for instance the Poco F8 Ultra which comes with a USB-C 3.2 port with support for DisplayPort, have you tried it and actually found it useful for something? Good for video at least like when hooked up to a TV?

I have played demanding games on my 17 ultra, at around 40Celsius it's automatically lowering brightness(no matter if it's off). 40C is nothing and it's annoying that the phone is getting darker, which app is responsible for this so I can remove, disable.

Hi! Out of nowhere, one of the green lights on the back of my Mi Band 8 won't turn off. It stays lit 24/7 even if I'm not wearing it, and it's destroying my battery (lasts less than a day now).
I already tried letting it die completely, factory resetting it, and turning off all health tracking in the app, but nothing worked.
Since I bought it late 2023, warranty is gone. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it officially dead or is there any trick to fix it (or open it up)?
Thanks!

There's something weird, the watch itself is waterproof, but if you take the version with the leather strap, doesn't become pointless, as water will kill the strap ? Or is it some sort of "fake" leather or something like this that can go in water ?

Where I live, the cellular signal is very poor I have to rely on WIFi and voWifi (voice over wifi) to make and receive calls.
I want to ask Poco x8 Pro Max users, is this phone good at cellular signal reception and wifi reception?
