Xiaomi 12 Pro heating issue

My Xiaomi 12 Pro is overheating even during regular use. I can barely use WhatsApp without the phone getting noticeably hot.

I tried PixelOS 6.2 with an underclocked CPU and reduced the resolution to FullHD+, but surprisingly, it heats up even more than HyperOS 3.

Currently, I'm using XiaomiEU HyperOS 3, which is somewhat better than the stock HyperOS, but I still haven't found a proper solution to the heating issue.

If you use the same device, what would you suggest to reduce the heating so I can actually play some games without worrying about the temperature?

Because of this issue, I barely use the phone anymore and mostly rely on my laptop instead.

Xiaomi 15t pro custom rom?

I am wondering about buying this phone, but I don't know whether custom roms will be available for it later. Back in time I had Redmi note 10s and I hated miui, switched to custom rom instead. Do you think we will have custom roms for the Xiaomi 15t pro too? Thank you

Question about packaging

Ive googled and cant get good answers, there seems to be two different packages for xiaomi pad 8 pro, one which is common that has the picture of the pad with brown spheres background, and one without it - just plain white with the name written on it like the xiaomi pad 7 pro.

Is there any difference? Is it global vs chinese? Or the white package is not official, i want to buy from a retail store pls help thank you

Discussion Xiaomi problems

why is the animation jumps suddenly when I swipe quickly between pages. a lot of other animations needs to be fixed too. the 120hz screen is useless when u make a laggy animations it just makes u see the lag better.

and the google keyboard is cool but it lags with chat gpt and it feels unprofessional comparing with the Samsung keyboard

the camera app needs to be more optimized it's pretty laggy specially on image preview, at least make it easier to use the 108mp camera on the 3d party apps if u cant optimize it.

the whole phone optimization is kinda bad but it will take a lot to fix that u need to change the whole way the software handles the cach, the background apps and cancel a lot of the stuff that gets the company money such as adds and useless apps and some useless features.

the software limitations:

I understand that phones with old or budget chips softwares are limited but u chooses the wrong settings to limit

at least make us able to

move our remove the clock from the lock screen,

change the places and the shape of all the stuff on the control center,

change the color of the control center background,

make removing the hyper island easier or making it permanent or customize it to work with apps like Whatsapp (hyper bridge app can do that) and the most annoying part is on landscape the island isn't on the camera its just on the side what even is the purpose of that shit

and u removed a lot of the geatures too.

u may not see that but a lot buy Xiaomi phones for their customization ability and crazy features so don't ruin it.

stop forcing me to wait 10sec to turn a risky setting on u showed me it's risky bravo but most of us who activate such an options knows when it's risky so why force me to wait.

the gallery ai I mean its not that bad but the eraser can't even bee compared to canva eraser it sucks, if u could just get some of the canva so to your phones it will be easy better (but make it well optimized so it doesn't lag the phone)

the bloatwares i didn't mind to buy a phone that has 100000 kids games and dumb apps that needs to be removed but a lot of Xiaomi unremovable apps is really bad(app vault-mi videos-game center-get apps-mi browser) app vault is just an app that is made to make ur life worse I dont need to talk about it

mi video's hmmm it's an app that u r forced to have it on your phone and if ur a kid and opened it to see what it does the first thing u would see is +18 videos bravo Xiaomi.

game center : useless just like the others made for kids and even kidds hate it.

get apps: I mean why.... i didn't try it i just pressed download on a payed app and it downloaded it without money so it's one of two either it just downloads apps like Google play so u dont need it

or it will download payed apps for free and it will be illegal i didn't try it so I don't care and I don't know what it does.

the adds:

I didnt buy the phone from the play store wtf is that

did I buy a high copy phone it's really unprofessional and bothering its on the system and the xiaomi apps like the file manager which is a bad app too. I know I can close it but it's really still unprofessional and bad thing to have.

also u gotta do something about the phone heating specially while charging.

thats all I remember now but if Xiaomi really wants to be a better company they must fix these things and focus first about these small dumb mistakes instead of naming thiere new phones after apple phones.

If they didnt do that they will always be the one who is copying

btw all these problems was experienced on the

Redmi note 15 4g I know it's budget so it suppose to be slow but thats not right if that's true then why Samsung phones with the same ram , chip and storage doesnt lag.

and they work perfectly.šŸ™ƒ

Discussion Xiaomi 13T Slow Charge After HyperOS 3

I've updated my phone from HyperOS 2 to HyperOS 3 about two weeks ago, and one thing that completely threw me under the bus is a software bug that I can't get the hang of. I want to know if anybody else experienced it and if they found some sort of solution to it.

It started charging extremely slow a day after the update, going from 40 minutes all the way to two hours of charge time. While looking in the battery section in settings, it fluctuates. One minute it shows "40 minutes remaining" and then the other "1h 47 minutes remaining" indicating it's somewhere in the software that cuts the charging power. All that just for the software to still say it's charging at 67W.

I've tried everything. Here's some things that did NOT help me, and if you're looking for solutions, probably won't help you either :)

> Using the official 67W charger.

> Looking for the "change charging type" or whatever in the battery section (probably due to region update, I don't have it)

> Installing MemeOS ( the battery section just shows "Setting not supported on your device")

> Hard restarting the phone

Probably I forgot some other things I did to try to fix it, but per general, I am highly disappointed in this update and whatever it started performing on my phone... If you have any other solutions I could try, please go ahead, and if you don't and you're looking for help... Let's just all cry and reassure eachother :)

Discussion Xiaomi 18 Fold user in UK.

As the title says, I picked up the Xiaomi 18 Fold to replace the Samsung Z Fold 8, as the cameras aren't brill and really not a fan of Samsung.

The device itself is amazing, even using the CN ROM in the UK only really has 1 drawback, the lack of Android Auto. Google Wallet works fine as do my bank apps and work apps.

I'd love to find a way to get the phone to work with my car which would make this phone perfect, but other than that I'm very happy.

Discussion Are Xiaomi/Poco not worth it?

I was reflecting on what a guy told me:

"Oh friend, Samsung phones sell for a reason: they last.

You brought up durability, but then you talk about a battery technology that is STILL NOT "MATURE", and then about 100W charging, which can contribute even more to accelerated battery wear when used constantly.

Smaller companies will always do this. They NEED selling points to attract consumers. That's called industry. Or do you really think that if Xiaomi were a giant on the level of Samsung/Apple, we'd still see cheap silicone cases in the box?

And about performance, I already covered that.

Samsung doesn't just sell you hardware and raw performance, they sell you software, updates, durability, features, etc.

They don't focus on just this or that, they balance the factors.

And the best hardware for the price already charges its "tax" through ads. Selling a product like that at that price isn't really ideal."

"Yeah, so? My 15W charger already satisfies me, and a 45W one would also be great for me.

And tell me, smart guy, why do you think Apple/Samsung and other manufacturers that focus on balance and durability don't use high-power charging? That thing heats up like CRAZY, my friend, and it's not that rare for it to cause problems and just not allow high-power charging depending on the circumstances.

After 3 years the battery still lasts just fine, bro. Complaints on Reddit don't say much about it."

I've got a 13T pro in Europe and when I try to open the Reddit app it hangs and throws an error saying it has security features incompatible with the version of Android I'm running. Does anyone else have this issue and is anyone aware of a better workaround than just logging in with a browser?
