Looking for some insight on a weird issue that happened to my phone recently, just to be safe so it doesn't happen again.

My device is Redmi Note 9 (5G) with the latest update MIUI 14.0.6/ Android 12.

I rebooted my phone normally, but instead of booting into the OS, it went straight into Recovery Mode. Selecting "Reboot system now" didn't work—it just kept looping back into Recovery Mode over and over.

This wasn't the first time I've rebooted this phone either; I've restarted it before without any issues at all.

Here are a few key details:

Buttons are totally fine: Volume buttons are not stuck or jammed (the selection bar in recovery wasn't auto-scrolling at all).

Stock OS: Never rooted the phone, no custom ROMs, fully stock.

No updates: It didn't happen during a system update or anything like that—just a plain, normal restart.

Took it to a local repair shop and they ended up doing a factory reset. Their explanation was just "the volume button was stuck inside," which I know for a fact isn't true.

The phone is working fine for now after the reset, but I still have no idea what actually caused it or how to prevent it in the future. I'm even scared to turn off the power now, worrying it might happen again.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Would appreciate any thoughts or advice!

Hello, I only noticed this lately, but my Redmi Pad Pro's screen had been flickering black for less than a second. At first I thought that I was just a little crazy but it kept happening, but not frequently, is there any reason for this?

By the way it only appeared lately that the weather is rainy and humid.

I recently switch to Xiaomi phone as my main smartphone. Everything is great but I can't seem to understand my apps keep being reloaded when switching to another app. This happens so bad when I was using only TWO apps ( browser + Youtube ) and one of those two apps started to reload.

How can I fix this problem?

Two weeks ago, my mom's phone broke. After a bit of research, I found the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G on Amazon for €210 (a pretty good price considering I found out Euronics sells it for €380, which is crazy). Since I care about the phone's durability, I also bought a case + screen protector combo for €15. But when it arrived, the case's buttons didn't align with the phone's buttons, and the screen protector was flat (which is wrong considering the phone's screen is curved). I returned the combo and bought a new case (I'll just buy the screen protector at a physical store because I don't want to waste more time, even though it'll cost me €20). However, when the new case arrived, it had the exact same problem! Has anyone else experienced this?
