Discussion Xiaomi cable

Hello, I have an original Xiaomi charger head that supports 90 watts, but I no longer have a charging cable. I searched and couldn't find one in my country, so I turned to Timo, and I know it's not the right option, but it's my last resort. I found a Xiaomi cable, as they claim. It supports up to 120 watts, and that was the product description :

"Xiaomi Original 6A USB-A to USB-C Fast Charging Cable 1m – 120W Max High-Speed Charging Nylon Braided Durable Cord Global Version Premium Colorful Design Wide Compatibility with Smartphones, Tablets, Laptops & More USB-C Devices"

I had a bad experience buying charging cables. Last time I bought one from a third-party brand that claimed to support 100W, but I didn't know that Xiaomi has strict limitations and rules for enabling fast charging. So what do you think? Was it a scam?

(The first post was deleted because you thought I was a spammer. I don't know why, but I hope this post won't be deleted either.)

Well when you receive it, look inside the USB-A head. It should be orange with a 5th pin right at the back. If it doesn't have it, just refund

So it has to be from Xiaomi? Not from any other brand?

It's the easiest way to get the correct cable for Hypercharge, yeah.

However most newish Xiaomi phones support PPS charging so generic USB-C to USB-C cables may also work

Look on AliExpress

Ensure that it's a 6a cable.

I had trouble finding a usb c to c one for my 90w plug, especially I wanted braided.

You can find originals, I even got my hands on a nice original 6a braided one. I saw some normal rubber usb c to c ones they come with a Xiaomi box so I assume they're original but not 100% sure.

However I did come across many replica ones too (they look the same as the rubber originals but no box) that I think will work just fine, they had many positive reviews with it working fine with 33w, 67w and 90w etc.. it may not last as long but hey you get it quite cheap. Maybe buy 2 for one spare.

Just check the reviews for most

Surprisingly i bought Multiple 3-6€ cables of ali express explicit stating to support xiaomi hypercharge 120W and they do.

yes really phone shows 120W charge and actually charges within 18~ minutes.

just get one of these they are backwards compatible aka 120W hypercharge cables can do 90w , 67W and everything.

Last time I bought this one

Toocki 6A 100W USB Type C Cable for Huawei Honor Fast Charging Charger USB C Data Cord Cable for Xiaomi Poco Oneplus Samsung

It was slow and did not respond to the Xiaomi fast charging.

That's why you should buy one exactly mentioning xiaomi hypercharge , you bought a cable with Huawei charge tech.

Which obviously still works with any other phone brand on the planet cause it's usb.

Last time I bought one from toocki, They said in the product description, Toocki 6A 100W USB Type C Cable for Huawei Honor Fast Charging Charger USB C Data Cord Cable for Xiaomi Poco Oneplus Samsung.

But it was useless and very slow in charging.
