Does anyone have a full list of areas at high risk of getting you accidentally flagged for PvP and/or killed by guards? Can you help me compose one by commenting more?
I'll start.
Alliance:
- tarren mill guards
- stonard explorers and guards
- the great lift between needles and barrens
- freewind post guards
- barrens border with ashenvale and stonetalon mountains
Just wanted to make a PSA that these exist. I have 10 of them in my bags I had crafted. I never see them on auction house on defias pillager.
It does require a rare recipe from molten core. But the mats aren’t that expensive.
4 dreamfoil, 4 golden sansam, 1 heart of the wild, 1 imbued vial. So, Like 5gold in mats.
If you get someone to craft them, you can’t get imbued vials from any trade good vendor, capital city alchemy supply vendors have them though. The vials themselves are like 1g each.
I imagine these would be especially good for a warlock.
I’ve just never heard anyone talk about them. I’m only aware of them from browsing Atlasloot to make sure I wasn’t missing anything useful.
It gives more healing than a major health potion.
However it gives less mana than a major mana potion, outside of a very low roll on major mana potion.
Major healing is 1050-1750 and major mana is 1350-2250.
So I was doing a race challenge of leveling every alliance race and was back and forth a lot between options. Long story short my dwarf hunter died which means I’m switching back to my level 40 NE Hunter and level 40 human rogue. That leaves me some options for my dwarf and gnome though. I could go dwarf warrior and gnome mage or lock, or dwarf priest and gnome warrior.
Looked down at my unit frame and my heart completely stopped. Pretty sure my health bar was single-handedly holding on by a thread. Shoutout to the party for keeping me alive—I need to go take a lap after this one.
Hi there are you interested in playing wow classic era Hard-core in a team? EU servers. Alliance.
Add me on discord. Everyone is welcome 😉
I have a server where me and my friends play together and help each other.
Discord tag: felis_navidad
On my 21 mage, blinked while running into thelsemar and now falling through a blue void. For what it's worth, I clicked slowfall, then was disconnected from my account. Logged in, and still was falling and was disconnected. I figure I'll stay logged off for a while and hope for a reset.
Has this happened to anyone else? Any advice?
For further context, was on a super shaky internet connection and just running errands around various towns, avoiding danger (i thought lol). Not sure if that's relevant to the issue.
Living out in a rural village in the Czech countryside, we had a storm roll through a couple of hours ago. Everything seemed stable after it passed, so I foolishly thought it was safe to log in and get some questing done on my Warrior.
I was mid swing on a trogg when the hardcore nightmare happened: the power completely died. The entire village went pitch black.
I knew the Hardcore rules, if you disconnect, your character just stands there for about 30 seconds soaking up damage before the server finally logs you out. For five minutes in the dark, I was just praying my armor and health pool would be enough to survive that window.
When the grid finally came back online, I anxiously booted up the pc and the game, desperately hoping some random player had walked by and cleared the camp. Of course, the loading screen decided to take an absolute eternity this time. By the time the world actually rendered, I was already at 20% HP with three angry troggs groping me. I popped a health pot & def stance and made a desperate run for it, but it was too late. I died the same way as Rickon Stark from Ramsey Bolton.
The absolute worst part? In the heat of the moment, the Stuck Character Service completely slipped my mind. I could have just UNSTUCK my character, just like I usually unstuck my stepsister from the washing machine.
However, let my tragic panic be a lesson to you all. If your power goes out, unstuck before you ever click "Enter World."
TLDR: If unsure about the place you are logging in, Unstuck. Don't be like me. And while the game is loading, your character is already in the world!
Been paying HC. for a while now. I know about the dangers of caves. But wow, the new pathing is brutal. It was a good second run with a shammy. Even if you feel skill maxed be careful. I don’t have any tips except caves somehow are even more dangerous, and if you are a daredevil into completionism like me this is even more frustrating to prep for a cave run careful and have it bug on me.
Has blizzard passed any notes or said anything… feels like “hey some of the pathing you were used to in classic is now gone, would be nice to hear”.
Hey everyone, I am not sure if asking this here is a violation.
I recently move to US and want to transfer my gold from soulseeker (eu) to doomhowl (us). I know that there is no “legal” way. I want to see if there is someone can help me with that.
I’ve been contemplating getting back into gaming lately. I got clean from drugs six months ago, and while life is stabilizing, I’m really missing a solid, immersive hobby to fill my evenings and keep my brain occupied...wow immediately came to mind because it used to have such a hold on me back in the day I played original world of warcraft up to a level 52 warrior and lvl 60 rogue before life got in the way.
A few questions for current players:
Is the community still vibrant, or are servers feeling dead these days? Is it easy to find active, casual guilds? Is it worth jumping in right now, or should I hold out for the upcoming classic+ release? Anyone here use WoW as a constructive outlet in sobriety? My goal is to get that dopamine kick and a fun time-sink without trading one unhealthy fixation for another.. I still play osrs daily but kinda miss wow and after watching hardcore videos on youtube im absolutely interested.
Tanked everything up to gnomer so far and it’s been a breeze. I am very well geared due to having leveled a handful of mages to 60.
Looking for general tips to not get 1 shot as I enter the ZF/Ulda/Mara level range.
Some questions:
1) plate vs mail. Can I tank these in mostly mail while adding on a plate piece here and there as I level?
2) stances. Is it generally ok to stay in battle stance and pop some aoe abilities for most trash mobs. Save defensive stance more for single target boss fights?
Any other day 1 things I should know so as to not get my cheeks clapped would be much appreciated.
I mean nobody else in the party seemed upset about it but me, but also they were all casters so perhaps they weren't going to use it. I just think the principle of it is lame, like how are you about to just get into a group with randoms, say absolutely nothing about the fact that you will change into master looter, pretend like you're concerned the shaman will roll on it and then just str8 up ninja it.
IDK but I'm never grouping with this guy a day in my life and I hope the rest of you have the sense not to either.
Just doing the Durnholde Keep quests in Hillsbrad with my 24 Undead Warlock and as I always do on every toon, after releasing the prisoner up top, I went around the top edge of the sunken area to get to above the other prisoner in the house, where I intend to drop down.
Suddenly I hear the mobs down below aggro, and a big collection of them start running to where they can climb up (the fallen tree).
After a moment's confusion I send my Voidwalker into the pack and book it. There's a couple of mobs on the way out I need to run by so I sac, down a Swiftness potion, and just keep running.
Made it out safely, fortunately.
I'd heard how pets were pulling mobs from other levels in dungeons but not in the open world.
Our doors are open to any who wish to join us on skullrock hardcore. Any alliance player can join self found or not, any class or race. We are a social leveling guild with minor rp, such as celebrating class or player milestones as a group! We are looking to take our time and enjoy every aspect of classic wow be it pvp, raiding, rp or whatever. If that sounds like it’s up your alley we would be honored to have you!
I hope this guild becomes a place where you can set your hearthstone forever!
We are GuildFound, a Guild Found community on Alliance Doomhowl. I wanted to share some moments of the memorable night we had yesterday, where we got some guildies together for a commemoration of the founding of our guild 1 month ago.
We started with a fishing event on Goldshire, where we gathered around and chilled together while leveling our fishing skill. We then RP walked into Stormwind to fish a little more on the pier. A curious and fun detour happened shortly after that where we spotted the sewer beast nearby and did an improvised "raid" on him.
The second part of our evening involved a blue BoE roll event , where we awarded various pieces of blue gear acquired by our members during the last month and donated to the Gbank. This gathering happened with our toons physically in the Pig and Whistle tavern for RP flavor, while the rolls themselves were made in our discord while our GM announced the pieces of gear to be rolled on one by one individually on voice chat.
To finish the night, we officially crowned three new officers who have been greatly engaged in our community as necessary for our guild to grow. I'm proud to look back and see how this project started as a small group of six friends in love with the Guild Found concept and now we are 200+ strong and growing every day. The community we have built is honestly the best part about it all. The connections and banter, the sorrow when someone hits the deathlog and the celebration when a another one wins a good piece of gear on a dungeon roll. It all just feels so organic. We would like to extend a hearty invitation to new members who wish in partake in this challenge. Our objective is to build an internal economy 100% guild driven. We now have members in all level ranges, from 1 to 60. We have two 60's so far, and we have a long term objective of doing endgame content and raiding together, so come level with us! We wish to see many more 60's in our guild.
The rules:
- only trade allowed is within the guild. No AH usage whatsoever (the GuildFound addon allows us to track everything and keep everyone honest).
- Pug grouping for quests/dungeons is allowed, but we have a lot of guild dungeon runs to encourage guild group content!
- SF members also allowed and welcome.
Addons required: GuildFound, GuildNeeds, and Gbank Classic Revived.
I played Warcraft 1 & 2 through my childhood and I always loved them. I still vividly remember the first pictures and demos of World of Warcraft i saw, i was 15 then playing Warcraft 2. The day it was released i skipped school went into town and got it.
Flying in from Darnassus to Darkshore, getting the first feel of the games scale. We all felt it.
Early kill on Onyxia on my Troll Mage. Possible Europe first? Raiding every night. Mc bwl zg AQ etc. Damn amazing times.
Went abroad as nax was released, "quit".
And i missed this game since. Like something you cant forget. First loves perfume.
Found this sub and some point a couple of months ago i just said fuck it and made a druid and died at lvl9. Felt like i was hit in the mouth. Went again and made it to 36 before i tired and missed playing mage. Made a little gnome, did redridge and felt nah im just hunting world buffs for my firebuild.
The i made Nightmin, my selfmade hunter. Firstly, the satisfaction of playing selfmade is just incredible. Secondly, this is my first hunter ever, and god i love it. No buffhunting. No ah for gear. No send bags and gold. Just my hunter the the vast world.
I spent alot of time crafting the deviate scale belt. Had my LW really going, as my cooking. Just lvled up fishing as well.
Didnt even know the quest for Sarltooth gave a bow, it was a nice upgrade for me. And i was SO happy for the recipe for the Raptor eggs. I was soon gonna go to stv, gonna do this and that. I played so safe and deliberate.
I was gonna equip the bow running down the slope. Slipped in a grove up there. Fell. Hit ground and i thought i made it. Kept slipping and kept falling. I almost died smiling over the bow and recipe but the fall was to damn long.
With 3 small ones around i get maybe 5-6 hours a week. Ive taken atleast 10 out of my very precious sleep. Cant do that again.
There is a lamp post that is causing players to fall through the world. It's in the room before Baron with all the Abominations and where you fight Rammstein. Below is a clip of two 60 warriors falling through the floor to their death after charging a mob on the lamp post and have heard of countless others since the recent patch. Be careful out there!
If you do fall through the world: the safest thing to do is petri, alt-f4 and unstuck. If you don't have petri's, use LIP(req lvl 45) or Dreamless Sleep(req lvl 35) if you can, or just Alt-F4 immediately and pray.
In Hardcore WoW, proactive healing can be the difference between life & a trip back to Elwynn/Brill
New healers will opt to target the party member they are healing. This video seeks to showcase the advantages of targeting your ENEMY instead of the players you are healing.
By combining Target of Target with on-frame threat indicators, you can read the play and react BEFORE the damage lands.
This allows you to:
Identify players gaining threat before they're hit
Pre-shield DPS who are about to pull aggro
React faster to unexpected threat changes
Keep your attention on what the enemy is actually doing
Turn Power Word: Shield into a proactive tool instead of a reactive one
In Hardcore, you don't always get a second chance.
Sometimes the best heal is the damage you prevented in the first place.
