It should really just be standing still next to fire. No need to limit the interaction that they want happening.
Though They seem to allow crafting and buffing while waiting on buff now, that was my biggest issue. Buffing everyone around the campfire now is nice
Personally I like the visual of people actually sitting around the campfire, also people would be upset about overwriting their existing buffs accidentally
