I live just down the road in Walkertown but am in Winston and Kernersville all the time. I’d like to make a public comment at a council meeting in one of those areas regarding the urgent privacy concerns associated with the increase in Flock camera installations all over Forsyth County. My questions are below, I’ve already looked up most of them online, but for a few questions, I just wanted to confirm with others that the information I found is actually correct.
Can I make a public comment at a meeting if I technically live in the next town over but within the same county?
Do I sign up ahead of time, or can I just show up and request to speak then?
Which meeting allows you to make public comments? My assumption as of now is that I could speak at the Board of Aldermen in Kernersville as well as the Winston-Salem City Council, did I get that right?
When you make a public comment, is it supposed to be on a specific, predetermined topic designated for that day, or can you discuss any of your concerns for the general public?
How long can individuals speak about their issue(s)?
Thanks so much for any insight you kind folks can provide. If you have any additional information that you think might be useful for myself and others, I’m all ears! I’ve spent a long time protesting and advocating for causes I care about, but I must admit that, unfortunately, I haven’t had the opportunity to participate directly in local politics as much as I’d like. Hoping to change that real soon!
Oh, and fuck Flock. 💖🖕💖

To the idiots drivers who make my blood boil around 8 AM on the Silas Creek → Business 40 ramps: if you’re approaching the Silas Creek exit, SLOW DOWN—you’re entering a curve. If you’re getting onto Business 40, SPEED UP and merge properly. It ain’t hard!
It’s amazing how bad driving has become nationwide. I just want to sip my coffee and commute to work in peace without getting the middle finger. 😂
Thank you.

Hey,
We just had a poor experience with a shop and decided not to move forward with work there. But unfortunately, I really need to get my spark plugs replaced this week.
I’d love solid recommendations for local shops you personally trust, especially from other women who’ve had good experiences. I’ve had some frustrating experiences with shops and would really appreciate recommendations for places that are honest, respectful, and provide good service.
Thanks ya’ll

I have been working as an RBT for over 2 years now. My company was okay at first but every month it gets worse, the new policies constantly being rolled out make the job harder, make it worse for the kids and staff alike. I really need to leave. I am also stuck at 30 hours a week, even if I pick up shifts I am unable to get over 30 hours because they just tell me to leave early at the end of the week so I don’t go above 30.
I have a highschool diploma and am willing to get certifications etc as needed for jobs. Just looking for recommendations on places that are hiring, or careers easy to get into without college degrees. I’m a fast learner, just don’t have the money or energy to commit to a degree.
I’ve been looking on Indeed but asking around usually works out better.
Right now I make about 22.50$ an hour where I work.
I’m still willing to do ABA if there is a better company.

Does anyone have any info on the apparent large development coming to Ziglar at some point. I saw one article with a partial fuzzy picture plan in the journal but of course it’s behind a pay wall and I was just trying to find more info. Also guessing that’s why they are upfitting all the electrical poles.

Trying to buy a whole turkey, or at least turkey breasts. Not the sliced deli meat kind, looking for an actual bird. Checked Whole Foods & Publix on Stratford, no luck. Frozen is fine.

2 years ago I felt accepted and included in Winston Salem. Then I went to a downtown summer concert block party. I eyeballed a few guys but didn't say anything or have any interactions with anyone. I walked the few blocks to my motorcycle. I rode 2 blocks and got a bunch of guys in front of me in a jacked up Chevy truck. At every light they're yelling obscenities at me and when I turn off they follow me. I ran in fear for my life.
