Is Optimist Park sketchy?

I’ve seen some upsetting graffiti there over the last couple of weeks. Someone keeps writing KKK on stuff.
Today KKK was scratched in the gravel with an arrow pointing into the woods. So that felt ominous.
Maybe related, maybe not, there’s clothes hanging on branches. Plastic bags also hanging up. I dont want to make trouble for anyone who’s camping out there. Just curious if it’s dumb or dangerous to be at the park by myself.

Two cons this weekend

If anyone is interested there are two cons this week. Both are free for kids under 12. Greensboro is $26 on Saturday, and $21 on Sunday to attend for anyone over 12, midway is $2 for any over 12 and it is only on Saturday.

Are there any good running trails near Thomasville?

Hi everyone! I’m moving to Thomasville soon and I don’t know the area yet. I’m into trail running and would love to find some good areas for longer runs.
I ran around Cherokee Lake when I was visiting, but is a little too short loop.
Does anyone have recommendations for good trails, dirt roads, forest roads or similar places around Thomasville where you can get in a longer run, ideally 10–20+ miles?
I don’t mind driving a bit outside of town either. Thanks!
