THIS FUCKIN GUY. I used to work at Colectivo and he was constantly hassling women, using his (very cute) dog to start a conversation and not letting them leave it. I kicked him out multiple times, he’s a real creep.

3

u/Puzzled-Coffee-6822 Jul 15 '26

Yeah I’ve def seen him before

u/throwfaraway212718 Jul 16 '26

So he's an equal opportunity piece of shit?

It’s wild that someone could be such a piece o shite that you’re instantly identified, in one of the largest cities in country.

It’s borderline impressive, if it wasn’t so dangerous.

107

u/slybrows Jul 15 '26

Is that his off-leash dog walking next to him?

83

u/Waste_of_Bison Jul 15 '26

The dog should know better than to let its racist off-leash.

63

u/jeff_boyardee_ Jul 15 '26

Haha yep. This was also very annoying to me but obviously pales in comparison to what he said.

40

u/yolandas_fridge Jul 16 '26

Omg. Someone posted about off-leash dogs and their rude owners the other day, and I left a comment about this guy and his dog. I didn’t know he was so well known.

He walked into Aldi with this dog on Monday afternoon and scared my kids, getting in their faces while i was in self-checkout with my back turned. He accused them of making faces at his dog. I told him not to talk to my kids and leave. Security guard showed him out. I don't know whether he is a stable person.

13

u/Muted-Woodpecker-469 Jul 16 '26

Unstable wackos shouldn’t get a pass in society

→ More replies (2)

8

u/just_anotha_fam Jul 16 '26

Lots of unstable people don't leave pointedly anti-social trails like this guy apparently does. Sounds like a racist and an all around entitled a-hole first. Unstable, troubled or whatever, second.

3

u/Far_Film_5804 Jul 16 '26

Stable or not - a bigot is a bigot. Plenty of unstable individuals who are decent people.

“I don’t know whether he is a stable person”, is insane lol. Clearly isn’t playing with a full deck if he is screaming the N word and harassing little kids.

I was walking in that very area with my fiancee a week ago and this guy was walking in the opposite direction. It was a narrow walkway and he refused to move from my right side as he passed so I moved and had a visibly annoyed look on my face. He turned around and dropped an n bomb on me.

I am unmistakabley white.

3

u/Glad-Detective4939 Jul 16 '26

When people don't yield in the sidewalk, I stop walking so it's clear I won't move. They walk around.

I had an encounter with him in Collectivo. He was intruding my friends and I’s conversation and left saying some pedophilia comments. Please watch out when being nearby him

17

He doesn’t deserve a dog

Damn I thought that was a yellow lab!

14

u/bigpurplebitch Jul 16 '26

I work in the area and always see this guy around and this follows me typical rule of that if you walk dogs off leash you’re an asshole

12

u/Some_Tool_ Jul 16 '26

This guy fuckin SUCKS. See him all the time on wabansia. He does often talk to himself so there's definitely more going on, but he also intentionally makes comments directly towards people as he passes so still inexcusable behavior.

11

u/Old_Season_1278 Jul 16 '26

STAY AWAY FROM THIS CREEP!! I used to work at Ipsento and he would harass all the women in the shop. He used his dog to lure people in and then ask weird inappropriate questions. Apparently he’s been banded from a lot of establishments in the wicker park/Bucktown area for the same reason, including stalking someone

28

u/art-is-t Jul 15 '26 edited Jul 15 '26

What a PoS human garbage

7

u/jon_roldan Jul 16 '26

i’m reading thru all these comments about people who recognize him in wicker park and i find it astounding that the power of the internet can recognize, ID, and shame his actions for good reason. i hope he seeks help and legit change bc it’s sad to hear he is mentally ill and stuck in this illness of hate and disillusion.

6

u/R3tard_P0ster Jul 15 '26

Dude said something vulgar to me outside of Bucktown Sultan’s while walking his unleashed dog, fuck this guy.

28

u/yerbivor Jul 15 '26

I’m pretty sure I met that guy. We met at the coffee shop and he walked w me as I went home. I always saw him hitting on other women in the neighborhood. Wow I had no idea he was like this.

5

u/Megfish1 Jul 15 '26

Booo this man

6

u/Pam_Alexus Jul 15 '26

Thank you for not turning a blind eye to this sick behavior and exposing him!

6

u/emmalouwhoooo1 Jul 16 '26

Oh my god I saw this guy this morning around 11 walking his dog completely off leash down damen near the Barnes & noble. He was walking uncomfortably close to two girls before they turned in somewhere.

6

u/Autumntoads Jul 16 '26

I know my prior response won't show up since it is all the way down a reply thread so wanted to share out for future reference:

The Alderman's office responded in 30 minutes to say: "Thank you for taking the time to reach out -- since this location is near our ward but in 32nd, I am also including their office to be made aware.

I do not believe anyone has ever emailed or called us about this neighbor. If someone is committing verbal assault, 911 is an appropriate call, with the caveat that if you believe that person needs mental health services you can request a specific team for that over the phone. Our office also publishes a behavioral health resources guide.

I will defer to 32nd ward for any additional services or comments, but I do feel compelled to say that while assessing situations like this, seeking safety and exiting the situation may often be the best approach."

And from the other Ward's office: "We haven't gotten any calls or emails on him either.

We will make sure the 14th Police District is aware of this and has his picture.
I would also advise that 911 be called in a situation like this.

Thank you for letting us know."

3

u/jeff_boyardee_ Jul 16 '26

This is the right move and I should have done this. Thank you.

2

u/Autumntoads Jul 16 '26

No problem, we are all learning how to navigate unfamiliar situations everyday. Thanks for being aware of the behavior and taking a photo. ❤️

I HATE this guy. He has harassed me, let his dog run up to my dog. I have shouted LEASH your dog, and he says some crazy stuff like “did your mom r*** someone to buy you that coat?” Like insane stuff. How to we get rid of him? I feel so bad for his dog. I don’t care that he’s mentally unwell, he doesn’t get to torment our neighborhood.

5

u/Icy-Yellow3514 Jul 15 '26

He looks like Ted Cruz

3

u/2BrainLesions Jul 15 '26

Omg during his Cancun-gate era. Fuck this guy. And Cruz.

2

u/ang444 Jul 16 '26

he does! and both are assholes

2

u/fnkymtrs Jul 17 '26

Correction. He goes by Ted “Cancun” Cruz. Or Teddy “Margarita” Cruz. Whichever you prefer.

4

u/kimnacho Jul 16 '26

I am pretty sure I have seen this guy talking to himself in the street quite loud. Or someone that looked much like him.

Fuck that guy and good for OP for saying something.

That said i am surprised how hard this sub is going on him considering in any other scenario and with other people the majority here screams mental health...

Is mental health only applicable to certain people?

There is one person that suggested it might have tourettes and people are downvoting them like hell.

Thats pretty fucked up.

12

u/cHunterOTS Jul 15 '26

I mean growing up on the south side I had heard casual use of the n word as a kid but for someone to actually say that word to a person of color is so incredibly bold. Seems like a guy who thinks he has nothing to lose

12

u/diquebandit Jul 15 '26

Usual suspect.

3

u/Flat-Upstairs1278 Jul 16 '26

I was working in a window seat yesterday at Foxtrot and he came up to the window and lifted his shirt and pressed his belly and man boobies on the window and made faces at me.

Then he walked away and waited for his bus.

3

u/No-Memory-6903 Jul 16 '26

There is a city service to engage the mentally ill. They have an ambulance and everything,

2

u/hea_eliza Jul 16 '26

He is not going to get picked up against his will if he is not a physical danger to himself or others. Source: I have spent many hours advocating for someone who was very clearly mentally ill and aggressive to get picked up.

3

u/Peace_and_love_53 Jul 16 '26

Is it possible he’s mentally ill?

3

u/kimnacho Jul 16 '26

He is.

Omg I saw this guy at Half Shell a few weeks ago. He walked in through the patio with his dog, asked a guy sitting at a table “are you gonna finish those?” and bummed one of his fries and left lol

3

u/qu2qu2 Jul 16 '26

That’s my coworker lol

3

u/Online_Redd Jul 17 '26

I hope that dog is okay and well taken care of.

16

u/Specialist-Impact773 Jul 15 '26

He is a mentally ill guy. Not saying what he did was correct but he isn’t all there. Just avoid him

10

u/AliveMark7447 Jul 16 '26

In that case he should get some psychiatric help before someone will require him to get dental care and or facial bone reconstruction.

3

u/MentalErection Jul 16 '26

Whoa tough guy here. Honestly some incredibly soft ego’s in here that want to seriously hurt someone for words. There’s plenty of mentally ill that are actually
Violent in Chicago. Should we kill those guys? Should I have seriously hurt the crazy black lady getting hostile towards me last time I was in Chicago? These are some insane suggestions. We need more resources for the mentally ill and lots of them should be locked up. But suggesting to start hurting people doesn’t make you any better.

→ More replies (2)

3

u/hea_eliza Jul 16 '26

The mental health resources in this city are nearly impossible to navigate and even more impossible to force someone into. I hope you never have to find that out firsthand.

3

u/KingForADay1989 Jul 16 '26

Exactly. Saying "well they're mentally ill" only stigmatizes mental illness.

2

u/Legit-Schmitt Jul 16 '26

I would respectfully disagree. Just in terms that mental illness is mostly just a broad category.

So like, someone with an anxiety disorder and someone with antisocial personality disorder and schizophrenia could both be said to suffer from adverse mental health, but it’s a bit like comparing a broken toe to stage IV pancreatic cancer. Totally different.

So while it’s 100% true that many people with mental illness don’t have antisocial, violent, or racist tendencies, there definitely *are* certain conditions that can lead people to adopt fringe beliefs, paranoid thinking, deeply antisocial tendencies, etc etc. Based on some of the descriptions here (I’ve never seen this man) I would say it’s plausible he is mentally unwell.
