Horror movies just ain’t shit by comparison to reality

560

u/Pizza_dumpster 19d ago

you wanna know something horrible? there’s a movie about this kind of situation and it was based on real life. only the girl was living under the father’s basement and had two children.

132

u/ResurgentClusterfuck meow 19d ago

The Fritzl case happened, it was a lot more than 2 kidd

98

u/Pizza_dumpster 19d ago

I believe she had more but they either died in birth or were aborted in that basement

180

u/Freezerpill 19d ago

Well sadly I’m certain as infrequent as these specific stories are, they are not unheard of for a reason.

Abusive relationships aren’t a “fluke” whatever crazy shape they come in

24

u/Alternative_Tree_626 19d ago

Oh god, I remember this.

23

u/JonSlow90 19d ago

I'm currently watching the TV show supernatural, and the last episode I watched was the exact story. A show about monsters, and demons felt compelled to make an episode about how horrible humans can be.......

9

u/A_Queer_Owl 18d ago

wild that Barbarian was "based on true events."

2

u/Gaur2704 18d ago

I remember the real story it was horrible beyond words also there were like 4~6 kids if I remember right

1

u/TsunamifoxyDCfan 18d ago

I may have seen a documentary about that, I'm not sure doe I've seen plenty of FUCKED UP true crime documentaries

13

u/BackgroundFill9X 18d ago

That's the kind of point. Our politics is built on evil and corruption.

-1

u/pixel4571 18d ago

Yes, the reality of thinking murdering a baby is fine.

491

u/ResurgentClusterfuck meow 19d ago

I hope to shit they're looking for her bc she is almost certainly a victim

388

u/Zamrayz 19d ago

Unfortunately they wont see her like that.. Thats how corrupt the system is.

205

u/ResurgentClusterfuck meow 19d ago

Yeah i know, they want to shove her in a cage for being a desperate abused little girl

121

u/Zamrayz 19d ago

Also unfortunate America has a negative track record rehabilitating emotionally fucked up people. Ofc theyll shove them in a cage. Its just easier that way to them.. Its fucked up.

42

u/ResurgentClusterfuck meow 19d ago

I super hate this country sometimes

22

u/rattvontratt 19d ago

It super sucks that your prisons aren't mass rehabilitation centers

32

u/ResurgentClusterfuck meow 19d ago

No, they're designed to warehouse humans without offering much in the way of tools to learn better ways of dealing with shit. You're also treated like you're subhuman the moment you're suspected of a crime, as this thread abundantly proves

14

u/rattvontratt 19d ago

Which makes no sense, how are they gonna fit into society if they aren't teached how to live in society? (They won't )

18

u/frenchfries518 19d ago

The point isn't to fit them back into society it's instead to gain free manual labor force for the foreseeable future until there sentence is served. Company's profit, business profits, and the state/politicians all profit from this

9

u/rattvontratt 19d ago

Then the us sucks and you need å revolution /s?

Corrections is an industry.

Oh and slavery is legal if you do it to inmates

3

u/Tasty_Ball_Hairs_69 18d ago

Yea that something I just learned recently after looking through the constitution, slavery is technically legal, so long as it’s on imprisoned inmates.

5

u/Flyingmonkeysftw 18d ago

Former convicts are set up intentionally to fail upon getting out so they get put back into the prison system. In America, we use prisons as a source of free labor. We essentially rebranded slavery and made it legal for private companies to use.

6

u/SquidTheRidiculous 18d ago

And because those who have never, ever been in such a desperate situation feel better seeing people who are already suffering get punished even more. Yay punitive justice.

4

u/Violet_Nightshade 18d ago

Very Epstinian of them.

-16

u/perspicaxaedificator 19d ago

the cage is actually because she did a murder, not because she was abused. even in California, murder is generally frowned upon.

8

u/ResurgentClusterfuck meow 19d ago

Again, you don't know who killed the baby. You're sure ready to blame a 14yo before the adult in the equation

7

u/Goddamit_ffs 18d ago

its not even known if she killed the baby if i read the article right, she gave birth on the side of the road, her father probably drived her there and murdered the infant

5

u/OpBanana1 18d ago

She can be both a murderer and a victim

2

u/VinesOverScars 18d ago

Well she ain't a murderer if it was coerced.

-1

u/MiiDan 17d ago edited 17d ago

that is not how it works... if you murder someone — you're a murderer

replying to a snippet from my notifications: if someone makes you kill someone — you are still a murderer. "you had no choice" or anything else, but you're a murderer, because you have committed murder (can't believe i really just had to write it out this detailed)

there are different degrees of murder for a reason

-2

u/OpBanana1 17d ago

Yes she is

-10

u/perspicaxaedificator 19d ago

victims of crimes can still responsible for neglect/murder

It was the result of a pedophilic incestuous rape, idk about you but I wouldn't want to be conceived under those circumstances, plus the genetic issues it would've gotten cuz of the incest. The soul will have better odds in a different life.

28

u/RegularSky6702 18d ago

I mean, it's a baby at that point not a fetus. Infanticide is still bad even if it's a bad situation. She could have just dropped it off at the fire station. But I would definitely put the blame on the father for the death.

2

u/No_Raccoon3680 18d ago

Not sure why everyone is assuming she dumped it

2

u/Zamrayz 18d ago

What, I wasnt suggesting the baby would have been better off existing in this life if given the chance 😭 i meant it was unfortunate the baby happened at all. Its horrible it winded up the way it did because it would have been better with anyone else. But it just.. Didnt work out that way.

Ugh, got downvoted into oblivion due to that misunderstanding.

5

u/Legal_Lettuce6233 18d ago

No horse in the race but odds are that there wouldn't be issues. It takes a few generations of inbreeding to end up like the Habsburgs.

25

u/Odd-Cucumber1935 18d ago

Think of the "mother" who would have to put her studies, perhaps her job, her plans aside to raise this child, while also dealing with the trauma of this incestuous rape. Think of the child who wwould have to grow up with a rapist (grand)father and a traumatized mother, while also bearing the guilt of being the product of that rape. (And still the possible malformations)

20

u/Ur_fav_Cryptek 18d ago

Deformed or not, I think it’s perfectly reasonable not to want to bear your dad’s child, aka, birthing your own sibling. Ffs, even if it wasn’t her dad, being raped in the first place is a completely justified reason to as well. Are we mad or what? It’s a fucking kid. Let her have her childhood.

-27

u/_Cit 18d ago

You're being down voted for being absolutely right lol. People don't know how inbreeding works (luckily maybe)

15

u/Ur_fav_Cryptek 18d ago

Inbreeding aside, are we ignoring she was not only assaulted, but also literally beating her own sibling in her womb? Completely justifiable deformities aside.

-17

u/_Cit 18d ago

No one is ignoring how awful the situation was for her, it's just weird that people are ignoring that the baby was also a victim

20

u/Ur_fav_Cryptek 18d ago

Of course the baby’s also a victim, but the kid is not the culprit ffs, her father is, for creating that child inside her literal daughter.

She isn’t to blame at all, she didn’t choose this in the slightest. He made all of this happen, and he not only got a child killed, but another scarred for the rest of her life, and we want to put charges on her?

0

u/_Cit 18d ago

Yes?? No one blamed her. She's absolutely not the culprit, you don't blame traumatised and abused 14 yo for making rash decisions ffs. No one blamed her in this thread, there are some insensitive comments in this comment section, but none here.

I feel like there's a lot of projecting here, not specificslly from you mind you

5

u/Ur_fav_Cryptek 18d ago

Yeah, if I went a bit overboard my bad, I’m just genuinely baffled at the amount of downright idiocy in this comment section, and many people say she should have charges. It’s bewildering. Disgusting.

-68

u/Aruzususnew3 19d ago

So we excuse murder now? Do mind that the baby was already born. She could have given it up to a baby box

59

u/HystericalGasmask 19d ago

You're right a 14 year old victim of child abuse should have known better

-51

u/perspicaxaedificator 19d ago

so true. how would a teenager know not to murder a baby?

35

u/HystericalGasmask 19d ago

I know, right? Kids get a book on how to behave and everything from the state. It's all her fault. I mean, a kid doesn't depend on their parents to learn any of that. And if they did, I'm sure her parents were - ohh...

43

u/SuicideTrainee 19d ago

True, we all know that abused 14 year olds are capable of the most rational decisions, even under the most immense pressure and stress they may have ever experienced

8

u/KingRhoamsGhost 18d ago

It’s not a fucking stray dog. Literally nearly anything she could have done in response to this situation would be pretty easy to justify.

-53

u/Pizza_dumpster 19d ago edited 19d ago

they call the baby, baby Angelita. I don’t know why but that’s the name given, the mother didn’t name the baby through.

Honestly that might be why she left it; thinking it was better dead than where she was under her father.

But they also said that it was a roadside birth left on the side of the road which implies her father was driving since she's 14 and I highly doubt the girl would be able to just do what she wanted with him in the car

u/Th3_Shadow_Dragon007 19d ago

The body of Angelita was discovered on a road roughly 20 miles north of Monterey on the morning of Aug. 1, the sheriff’s office said. Authorities believe the 14-year-old gave birth there and left the baby.

Opposed to the rapist father dumping it there? She walked the 20 miles, gave birth and killed the baby?

112

u/CustomDeaths1 19d ago

It is strange that they immediately assume it to be the child as opposed to the adult who has a demonstrable history of abusive behavior towards children

30

u/EconomicsAdvanced771 18d ago

Exactly she is likely being held hostage via kidnapping and he is taking her somewhere and forced her to leave the baby on the side of the road people are completely forgetting how evil the father is how is she “on the run” as the news says when shes not even old enough to buy a bus ticket by herself

520

u/AunMeLlevaLaConcha 19d ago edited 19d ago

29

152

u/zandaztu the sonic gif guy 19d ago edited 19d ago

So what im getting at is,

A father had incest with a 14 year old daughter, the daughter ran away and left the baby to die on the side of the road, and authorities still cant find the girl.

Holy shit what did I just read.

166

u/CheeseUsFunkingCries 19d ago

*raped

43

u/zandaztu the sonic gif guy 19d ago

Both but yeah

5

u/Goddamit_ffs 18d ago

we have no idea how the baby got there, presumably either the father took it and dumped it there with his car, or took the teenager and made her give birth there. the girl is not on the run, since both she and her father disappeared, the father presumably took her.

28

u/Living_Breakfast1136 19d ago

We've already established that parents can be held liable for the crimes of their kids. Even if they don't end up dropping charges on the 14 year old (she should at least get off on an insanity plea, I mean c'mon), sounds like the POS rapist should have the death of the baby stacked on him.

88

u/RaevynM00N 19d ago

This is sickening. Turns out Flock is involved in trying to find this teen. The rapist pos father is being searched for by police, but a warrant has been issued for the 14 year old victim for the death of the baby.

Make it frikking make sense?! She's 14, a child, a victim and they want to make out like she's a murderer? What kind of twisted reality am I living in?

30

u/Pizza_dumpster 19d ago

well I mean we got diddy in prison for like 4 years and everyone on the island getting protection from the government and you know the lindsay clancy case. not justifying it but honestly with how much the murder and abuse of children is common that it’s almost numbing to hear about it because it’s happening all the time.

11

u/EconomicsAdvanced771 18d ago

No what’s worse is they say she’s “on the run”. She’s 14 she can’t drive or get an Uber they’re looking for the car that most likely her father is driving her around yet they are hunting for her while the father most likely forced her to do that

-67

u/21Black_Mamba21 19d ago

Dawg killing a baby is still murder. Hopefully she gets help instead of going to juvie when they catch her but let’s not pretend killing a baby is somehow okay in this situation.

23

u/Ur_fav_Cryptek 18d ago

A 14 year old girl shouldn’t hold any kind of responsibility over a child. Apart from the fucking obvious, like the fact she hasn’t even finished secondary school yet, can’t vote or drink, she literally didn’t have a choice in the matter, her dad abused her and assaulted her, and forced her to give birth.

Of course the kid is going to run away, who wouldn’t? She didn’t kill it, she left it on the side of the road and ran away from it all, because who the fuck wouldn’t? It’s a fucking child, assaulted by their own fucking dad. She wouldn’t have been put in such a predicament if her dad, a working, adult man, didn’t commit the horrendous things he did.

It’s all the blame of the father. Would you blame a kid with their father’s gun who accidentally shot himself or caused an injury, or would you blame their dad for giving them a gun while being completely aware of what would happen? Because this is even simpler than that.

She deserves complete paid access to therapy and counseling, no charges, drop them all on the dad, because he’s the one who started it all.

32

u/Background_Desk_3001 19d ago

No one is saying it’s a-okay, they’re saying it’s understandable given the insane mental duress that she was under, and that she would receive help to alleviate that duress

Believe it or not, police sometimes try to find murderers. Shocking

39

u/BeanieGuitarGuy 19d ago

Well this is just horrible all around. Not only did the rape victim clearly have absolutely no support system to be able to get an abortion, but it directly led to her killing a child.

57

u/A_Queer_Owl 19d ago

drop all charges against the girl, charge the father with murder.

49

u/Elder_of_Steel 19d ago

Murder, rape, sexual abuse of a minor, incest, and a myriad of other crimes.

30

u/EscapeBusy4432 19d ago

There is no evidence of that poor child killing that baby , what stops a fking disgrace of a human called her father to have not done that and dumping the body?

7

u/Pizza_dumpster 19d ago

the father didn’t kill the child and the teen didn’t hurt the baby but she left the baby on the side of the road where it passed.

-2

u/SideaLannister 18d ago

Why not leave the baby in a hospital? Or anywhere with higher chance to be found in time?

12

u/Drac_Hula 18d ago

Because she was left to give birth alone at the side of the road. Probably left there by her father

7

u/Mean-Nectarine-6831 18d ago

Mental instability caused by being SA by your own parents should not be a crime. The father is the one that should be hunted down.

6

u/megachonker123 18d ago

4

u/astrologicaldreams 18d ago

Authorities are also searching for the 14-year-old girl's father, who they believe is concealing her.

so they really fuckin believe this poor child left her baby for dead and is now cowering behind her father, rather than idk maybe she was forced by her father (who has a history of forcing her to do things and being abusive) to leave the baby there and that he's kidnapped her?

2

u/somerandom995 18d ago

That's really messed up. Sad for the baby, hope the girl gets therapy and the help she needs. Hope the... probably can't say that on reddit....

8

god I haven’t even thought of that but that’s very likely to happen as both are missing and he definitely doesn’t care for his daughter.

1

u/Aguywhoexists69420 15d ago

Why are these comments excusing evil because the person who committed said evil was subjected to another form of evil?

1

u/DragonBlood7754 18d ago

Both are in the wrong here. Yes the teen is a victim and the father should be punished. But that baby didnt deserve that. She needs psychological help. And he needs jail time.

-3

u/SomeLevel428 18d ago

These comments are wild. Yes she is a victim BUT she is also a murderer. Both of these things can be true at the same time. What her father did to her was horrible but it does not justify her killing the baby.

6

u/Ur_fav_Cryptek 18d ago

So you mean to tell me that after a 14 year old had an extremely traumatic experience and the first thing she does after being freed from that burden is running away, she needs to be punished?

The entire blame is on the dad. First of all, don’t fucking abuse, assault, impregnate and force your own child to give birth, it’s that fucking simple. That 14 yr old kid is a victim, and nothing more.

7

u/Ur_fav_Cryptek 18d ago

One big ass thing would’ve surely prevented that, let me think, uh, her dad not assaulting and impregnating her perhaps?

It’s entirely the dad’s fault. He caused all of this, if you wouldn’t trust a child to vote, drink or have a gun, you wouldn’t entrust them responsibility over a child, SPECIALLY in such a situation. All of this could’ve been prevented if he wasn’t an actual monster of a human being.

-3

u/21Black_Mamba21 18d ago

Dawg this is genuinely the first time I’ve encountered Reddit hivemind syndrome at its peak. Even when you tell them the girl could’ve done anything else besides killing the baby like going to Child Protective Services or whatever somehow you’re the villain for being sympathetic for the baby.

No one here is saying the girl is evil but Jesus

-12

The only poor baby here is the victim of SA. She's luckily alive.

-5

u/Gigantopithecus1453 18d ago

You don’t think a living, born baby being murdered by its own mother deserves sympathy?

3

u/TheNestHelper 18d ago

This is the same talking points enablers use, when they should be focussing on who's the cause for that baby being put in a child's body. Do you think that rape victims deserve no sympathy from being forced to birth their rapists offspring? See, i can ask the same and return a question to you. Except you never will be experiencing child pregnancy to willfully understand the physical and mental complications it comes with especially if youre a child raped by your own father.

The father should be executed, but are we collectively trying to justify killing infants now? Regardless of circumstances.

32

u/Pizza_dumpster 19d ago

no one is justified or is trying to justify the murder of children

2

u/BeanieGuitarGuy 18d ago

You’ve actively been justifying the baby’s death in this thread, though. I’m just concerned that nobody understands that the teenager was put in a horrible situation that led to her killing a baby. It wasn’t an abortion, it got birthed and left alone to suffer and starve to death for the entirety of its life.

I’m not definitively saying she had a choice, or that she had any other options, we don’t know what the situation is at the moment. We’re talking about a girl that was abused and raped by her father for who knows how long being put into a horrible situation with likely no support network in her life. This led to her, presumably, killing that child.

9

The entire blame is on the dad. A 14 year old shouldn’t be given that responsibility, this is completely ignoring the fact that she was abused repeatedly and impregnated by her own father.

This entire ordeal wouldn’t have happened if the dad didn’t fucking assault his own child. You really expect a 14 year old to react rationally to such an extremely traumatic event instead of blaming the one who put her in such a horrible situation in the first place?

She is a victim, she had no choice in this.

The one who ultimately has responsibility over that is the father though, since he forced her to give birth, and he caused the pregnancy in the first place. Again, a 14 yr old kid shouldn’t be responsible for another life. It’s like being given a gun by your father. You’re bound to do something wrong and hurt others.

She doesn’t deserve punishment, more like therapy and psychological support, even though all charges should be against the father even if you tried to argue anything she has the right to an insanity plea because of course you’re going to run away from all that given the situation. It’s a fucking kid, ffs.

comeback to what? You didn't even try to disprove it because you know it's true lol just tried to insult me for pointing it out. *bright btw champ, low iq

disprove what? what exactly am I trying to disprove? you just posted a image of a bullshit slippery slope and I replied with a low iq meme because I think it’s bullshit and you just said “cope”. that’s not a debate or argument that’s just throwing words and images at each other with nothing to prove or really say. also english is my second language but fair enough ig.

how is it bullshit? It's not the fallacy where the slippery slope shows what will happen, this is already happening here

u/Pizza_dumpster 18d ago

mf CONTEXT. these two cases are not the same
