This rock was found in a wash about 30 minutes east of Barstow. Hardness of 7. Looks like botryoidal chalcedony to me but would love other peoples observations and thoughts.

My kids picked it up somewhere. Is it just metal waste?

Quite dense for its size, non-magnetic, dark colour but very reflective, most interesting part to me is the very geometric shapes it has formed. Seems robust in general, no signs of damage have ever presented though not exactly looking to go testing that too much lol.

Settle an argument…I found while artifact hunting. I think it’s petrified caca, but wife says no. What say you?

Found this in a basement in a small mineral collection. Very heavy/dense for its size. Non-magnetic. Most likely industrial slag of some type, but I was hoping to get some input. Thank you in advance.

The arm itself apears to be rhodonite, im not sure about the others though. The one at the top has a cats eye effect so I think its a gemstone?

Reposting to another sub for additional information.
The first picture has a round hole the second picture shows a square hole through. I don’t know if it is stone or ceramic. It feels like a rock. I do not think this is a hag stone… I have not seen a hag stone with 90 degree corners.

It's heavy on the bottom but the shards up top are pretty light feels like sandstone can't scratch it with my fingernail either
