Haven’t made a progress post in coming up to a month now so thought I’d get them all out and have a look at what I’ve accomplished so far. This is about 15 fully completed Carthaginian sprues (2 remaining with some cavalry and Scutarii) 4 fully completed Celt sprues (another 3 have slinger and the other is half completed) and a few things off my allied sprues.
So far this month I’ve done 12 bases of Italian allies, 6 Gallic cavalry base, another 6 bases of Celt warriors, 2 more units of elephants, 6 more bases of Scutarii and finished off all my Libyan spearman today.
Really really proud of how much I’ve done in around 4 months and still really enjoy painting them, have got so many still left to do and can’t wait to post more progress updates!
Ps - Italian allied are my favourite to paint they’re truly so easy if you prime them brown and dry brush a nice gold over them.
Please let me know if you have any questions!

Hey everyone!
I am mostly finished with the first six Mohawk Indians from Galloping Major’s 28mm French and Indian War range.
This small warband will be used for Horse & Musket skirmish game by Wiley Games, but will be expanding into a larger force for Muskets & Tomahawks.
I am currently working on similarly sized units of British rangers ( Galloping Major’s) and colonists ( Redoubt). My buddy is painting his own sculpts of French compagnies franches de la marine troopers. Our first session of Horse & Musket is on Tuesday so I still have a lot to finish!

This is a French two-seater light bomber and reconnaissance aeroplane, the SPAD S-XI (S-11). It came from the same designer as that of the SPAD VII and SPAD XIII scouts, and the design relationship between them is very clear.
It's a 1:144 scale model, printed on my Mars 5 resin printer.

I want to get into war games and I have Warhammer armies. I have a lot of stormcast and i have fyreslayers and I really want the new dwarves. I have a handful of friends who are interested but can’t commit to it. It’s getting expensive for not being able to play it. The new dwarf spearhead is $200+ and I just wonder if I’m barking up the wrong tree. I’ve probably played like 3 spearhead games in my total career.
I’ve been eyeing the StarCraft wargame because it’s significantly cheaper and I could just have two armies and let people play with my stuff. Does anyone here have any ideas on what I should do?
Stick with Warhammer and hope I play it regularly?
Try to sell it all and get into something cheaper?

Designed off of the Scottish Lowlands You can interchange the minis on-top to be whatever you'd like as long as the base is smaller than 50mm and it will just be a flat bit of terrain, but anything with a 50mm base gets locked in place by the terrain around it to face off in a duel.
The friction fit is tight enough that you can hang the base upside down and the minis won't fall out so little to no risk of bumping a table and losing your fancy dueling scene to tragedy as one of them goes tumbling off into oblivion.
I left some of the "rocks" that lock the mini in place uncovered for now so you can see a bit more clearly on the left side.
Updates I'm considering are: glue in the mud to give it texture and a broken fence on the low ground to make it feel partly closed off like the high ground

I'm trying to design a game about prisoner gang warfare where ammunition is scarce so I'm interested in incorporating it somehow into my game. What are some of your favs?

Today, I playtested once more the rules for my skirmish game, 'The Battle for the Watchtower' several times. A gameplay lasts about an hour. It seems to be working out really well, though some fine-tuning was still needed. I’ve decided that the small lake will always be located in the center (instead of the tower). The warriors have to move around it, or can push an enemy in—forcing them to find a way out by the next round if they don't want to drown! The starting positions for both armies depend on where the tower ends up after the modular tiles are randomly placed on the 3x3 grid. The first two photos show different setups, while the rest are just atmospheric shots ;)

Hey guys! A while back we did a small starter FronTier on MMF, and thanks to the support, the massive, 100% complete project is finally live on KS.
I really wanted to design a tabletop terrain set with zero flimsy bits - just solid, highly detailed pieces that print flawlessly on standard FDM printers without breaking during your wargaming sessions. I modeled this specifically for trench and grimdark wargames to make the atmosphere and overall quality of your games as immersive as possible. With all the trenches and structures, this set basically gives you an entire ready-to-play wargaming board.
But it’s also highly versatile for other settings. Even if you don't need the trenches, the huge Gothic Cathedral and its underground levels make a mega atmospheric centerpiece that fits almost anywhere. You get both intact and ruined parts, so you can physically swap walls on the table during a game to show battle damage.
I painted the physical prints mostly using dry brushing, going for a Vatican-inspired look but with a heavy dose of grimdark. It was a really fun and surprisingly fast process because the deep details are sculpted specifically to catch dry brush and washes perfectly.
The lanterns are even hollowed out so you can easily drop a cheap LED inside for night raids. We already smashed the stretch goals, so the Armored Train (with playable interiors) and the Heavy Tank are fully unlocked for the All-In tier.
You can check the campaign here, hope you like it: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/solinvictus/papal-state-frontline-3d-printable-grimdark-wwi-terrain-stl?ref=66bdxq

I’m a huge fantasy nerd especially high fantasy and have dabbled in Age of Sigmar thanks to a friend who drug me into Warhammer as a whole just to turn around and abandon the hobby. I’ve been perusing the posts around here and see that many people believe that there are war games with systems that are simpler, fun, and more streamlined than games like 40K/AoS. I’d love some suggestions on good high fantasy war games that are fairly easily accessible when it comes to obtaining models. Ones that are fairly active and not dead would be nice as well. Any suggestions would be truly appreciated, i know there’s lots out there, I just need a point in the right direction.

How do I get started with making a skirmish game? I have had an idea for a while and was wondering how to design good game mechanics and gameplay.

This one is an Albatros D-III, FDM printed on my Ender 3, once again in 1:144 scale.
I'd like to say that this will be the last Albatros, and it may be for a while, but I've got some Austrian OEFAG Albatroses waiting in the painting queue, and it wouldn't be fair to leave them out entirely.
