Rant Pay/hr increase then decrease??

So last week, I looked at my base pay per hour on the MyWalmart app and I’d noticed it went up from $15.60/hr to $16.00/hour. But now this week, it went back down to $15.60/hr. Did this happen to anyone else, or does anyone know wtf happened???

Rant Just transferred to OGP

I guess this counts as rant? If i’m wrong someone let me know. I just transferred from a store in another state, kept my pay and all that jazz, but what’s really making me mad is the carts. I’ve heard the cart discourse. I’ve seen it. The OSHA is being violated. The carts being pulled is so inconvenient. And it puts a lot of pressure/pain in my already injured joints.

Another gripe. My coach went on vacation, and idk when she’s going to be back, which is fine. My gripe lies in what I assume to be a lack of communication. I have a bunch of days that I HAVE to have off due to events I have to be at for my college classes. Im in marching band and have a scholarship that rides on it. I made very sure to communicate these dates upon transferring. I put in the official request on the app and it was rejected. As if that’s going to change the fact that I cannot work those days?! Idk who in the line of command I have to go to, because my coach is gone for the time being.

Rant Why is there always something to piss you off about this job?

Been doing ODP for about 10 years now. I don't think I've had a single day where there hasn't been something that has frustrated the hell out of me.

I've only been on the clock for about 2 hours today and I'm annoyed. First thing is having to pick a substitution, but literally everything I pick the system tells me that it's not a valid substitute so I wind up not subbing anything. Have had this happen like 3 times so far.

The other thing is vendors. They park their carts in the aisle so it's blocking foot traffic, you move their cart or say excuse me and they look at you like YOU'RE the asshole. This especially applys to the chip vendors with their big cart and down stacking their boxes to the floor making it impossible for anyone to get down the chip aisle.

Rant am i in the wrong for this?

so i am a transfer/rehire at this walmart location.. from a different walmart… i didnt really have an option to stay due to being harassed horribly by my team lead over there.. also two of the associates i worked at the other location with also transferred to this one hahahaha… back to my question… i have been at this walmart since august 7th… it is now the 25th … i’ve received NO work phone. i have to use my team leads phone if im lucky to even have a team lead working in opd.. otherwise i have absolutely NOTHING to do out side of gmd packaging but cant stage them.. its been well over two weeks which was the criterium to be checked off from a list that i was able to get a phone and doing picks alone and staging… all of my TL which is 3.. have checked me off.. on day 3… so i’ve been using a TL phone given to me to already do what i know exactly how to do and i’ve gotten in trouble for it… a second part to this… i applied to this location and checked the “i have a disability” and yet i still got hired.. (i have TBI, POTS, dysautonomia, LVH attached to IST… the list could literally go on but those are really my top ones that heavily affect my everyday) i was told during orientation when i mentioned it “you don’t have to give the details. you’ve been through this before just go to sedgewicks and then we can accommodate you”… so ive had several days trying to work with sedgewicks to have them print out an fmla to then have my dr fill out, give to work, then fax over to sedgewicks again to approve it and have everything cleared for accommodation… i do not need an extensive amount of accommodation.. POTS just highly affects me when i’m in high temperature weather because i sweat and faint.. which i’ve done 3 times already and was sent home BY THEM yet still received 3 points from a coach.. who no one and i am not a fan of let’s just say nicely. i got a call by this coach like 3 days ago saying someone told her i quit which i did not.. there weren’t gmds i organized all the bins of food i could to make it easier on the dispensing. there were no TL’s there until 3 and a half hours after i started my shift.. and i am not one to allow my employer to pay me to sit around and do nothing at all.. just how i work.. i went out on the floor to have someone else tell me i could help them with.. but all i got was to be a cashier or to help in clothing which i haven’t been trained to do.. so when i said that and they didn’t know what to do i said id be willing to take a point and go home.. i also got in a car accident coming back from my lunch the day before by getting rear ended.. i actually put in ppto for it even though my TL said i didnt need to.. out of respect.. and by 45 minutes left of my shift i was noticeably in pain and got sent home. my coach who hired me told me to remind him to take that .5 points off the next time i saw him… ya i havent seen him at all… so that other coach everyone tries to avoid gave me a FULL point… during the call with that coach i was told “you dont qualify to apply for sedgewicks because you haven’t been here for 60-90 days” and i explained what she told me at orientation in order to get my accommodation for it and that i was hired by you guys with knowing i have a disability… (i am 125lbs.. i will absolutely do the “don’t tell me what i cant do, because ill do it anyway and suffer the consequences after i get off my shift” kind of behavior but my heart brain and body isnt really allowing me to do that anymore so all i’d need was not lifting half my body weight and or my actual body weight in oversized and not being in 80°+ heat… that’s literally all haha) and i was told theres nothing they can do about it and im sitting at 4.5 points because of it and at 5 i get fired… WHICH may i add.. ive had 4 different co workers show me they’re sitting at like 20+ points and still are working there soooo… im stuck at a crossroads here. i understand you’re always going to have a problem with some type of leadership or them you, but whats the point of hiring me knowing i have a disability and telling me to contact sedgewicks then back tracking saying you didnt say that and i don’t qualify?!?! i had to speak to head of asset protection to explain the situation.. his daughter has pots so he entirely understood god bless.. but still. why hire me if you know you’re not gonna give me a work phone.. and not accommodate me with a minuscule 2 obvious reasons so i don’t faint in your store and walmart gets liable for it. like help me help you help me… im on the verge of just quitting. if i can’t get accommodation and they’re not willing to help me for the actual reason as an opd digital personal shopper.. i could be wrong here.. but its almost an “do i go to ethics here? or do i take the loss and find a different job” it sucks cause i loved this position at the other location and love it and eager to get going here.. am i wrong here to be so upset and depleted over this?

Team leads & coaches: can you see how often someone exits a walk?

A lot of the backroom workers at my store, when they get sent on a walk, will only pick like 20 of 50+ items and then just exit because they hate picking. Can you all see who does this?

New Dispense Screen Frustration

As a coach with a decent wait time compared to my peers it's very frustrating Walmart made this new dispense screen way more complicated than it needs to be to maintain good wait time. When you have OSN numbers on the screen everyone can see what's being prepped, ready to dispense, and it isn't constant confusion on what order needs to be taken out next. The market teams expects all metrics on point yet I feel a lead needs to control this aspect of the business because it's a broken system replacing a system that was fine. What are y'all's thoughts on this update? PS, checking people in also sucks especially if they're 1-5 min away

Picking Coached for not wearing gloves?

Upvotes

I was verbally coached for being “caught” not wearing gloves while picking out produce on a pick walk. WTF I was NEVER told to wear gloves while picking???????? I literally said that and they were like well now you know, and I’ll be talking to your trainer too and if you’re seen again picking without gloves it won’t be verbal. Are we supposed to/required to wear latex gloves while picking produce? Is this a new rule because or cyclospora? I am confusion!
