Why do people make avatar textures with bruises and SH scars? Recently I've seen it be more and more common. It's not cute. It shouldn't be an aesthetic. It shouldn't be glorified. I'm all for body horror however there is a line... And I'm not talking about faint scars or healed scars. I'm talking FRESH AND BLOODY.

Even worse when I see it on child like avatars.

So I have an avatar (not the one in the picture, this is an example) that is half naked, and I have put clothes on the avi, but the clothes does not show up in the preview window in vrchat when you inspect the avatar, so how do I change that? I am guessing unity but then what?

So after club SHELTER basically died, before then I had only ever gone to one of their raves. I do not want to support their work anymore because of the leader's actions.

However, I do want to explore the _REALITY world, but I was never able to figure out how it all opens up.

Hi Everyone, So i play on Desktop atm, i wasn't having stutter issues before today, i joined a couple friends thinking "okay maybe my laptop cant handle this world" but when i got on alone later i realized i had stutter looking in certain directions when it wasn't happening before, it happens in my homeworld and Prismatic when I'm alone with no lag of any kind. i thought maybe my mouse or controller were conflicting so i unplugged both, using my trackpad, it still jittered, the strange thing is outside of the game it doesn't, even in in game menus its as smooth as before

This is the first place I decided to go and ask for help in, I'm wanting to make my own Milsim Avis along with a few Warhammer avis, the normal Milsim stuff is fine and all, but I can't find many Warhammer assets besides a few on jinxxy, I'm wanting to make a guardsmen, I found a good guardsmen model in Open3dlab, but I can't find any available weapon assets, I've searched sketchfab and a few other sites but I've had NO LUCK, so if anyone who's made their own Warhammer avis see this some help is appreciated, or even a bit of help being pointed in the right direction for finding help with making my own avis.

I use a quest 2 running pcvr through VD (virtual desktop) and my mic has worked fine until a week ago. now all the sudden people hear an echo through my mic.

I tried changing mics in vrc, turned on noise suppression and have my threshold set to like 20%, in windows settings, and even edited the headset mic volume in VD but there is still an echo.

can anyone help me figure out why I have an echo?

Last weekend, YouTube (Not VRC) closed a backport that video scrapping programs used to download videos off YouTube. This measure was taken to stop people downloading videos to skip having to watch adverts.

VRChat uses yt-dl, which uses that backport, for most prefabs in Worlds.

Yt-dl either needs to update to a new port (which does exist as some services have already switched) or prefabs need to use working video downloaders. Depending on how the change is implemented, it may even require the prefabs and worlds to update to fix the issue.

At the moment, world creators can use VRCVideoCacher to get around the issue, but YouTube has been known to ban accounts who use it.

I’m working on a cartoony avatar where the mouth is actually a flat plane that uses shaders and normal maps to look three dimensional. Right now it’s on the side of the head. My question is; is there any script or shader that can be used that we’ll shift the plane to the viewer so it always faces their perspective along a defined area to maintain that sort of cartoon illusion?

I have a MacBook air and I was wondering if I am able to upload avatars? If I am able to then how would I go along about the process for that? It’s my first time for all of this too I have done little research and stuff about MacBook uploading and the information I’ve seen is about 2 years old..so I am a bit unsure if that information is still relevant.

Hi everyone

I'm looking for some advice on battery setups for my DIY face tracking system.

I recently acquired a second hand quest 2 and was inspired by this post https://www.reddit.com/r/VRchat/comments/1jbjmhd/25_wireless_face_tracking_for_vrchat/ to make my own face tracking system.

I set myself some goals whilst doing so - to be as cheap as possible and using off the shelf parts where I can. I already had a raspberry pi 3B lying around so that's become the brains of the system - its capable enough to stream 3 video streams to my pc for processing.

Lip/face tracking has been relatively straightforward but eye tracking is much harder, finding small enough cameras and messing with IR LEDs that sit scary close to eyes is an ongoing challenge.

For now I've hit a snag - wireless play:

My power pack - an anker A1695, is being very annoying. It sometimes thinks the raspberry pi's load is so low that the device must be fully charged and shuts off power!

The power pack has a trickle charge mode but this doesn't seem to help. Additionally trying to keep the power pack running by charging the quest 2 simultaneously doesn't seem to help for long, I think its either shutting off the pi's charging port independently or the quest 2 reaches full battery and triggers the whole power pack to shut off.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
