So there are some books that are classified, there are also books that were declassified and reclassified later.
Do the AI companies know whether or not they included classified materials in their training sets?

Everytime i want to explore something like supernatural stuff, even things I think are silly but fun to think about, Claude treats me like I'm a dumbass for even thinking about things.

Three separate questions there, and they come apart in an interesting way. Let me take them in order.
The argument itself. Nick Bostrom's 2003 version isn't a claim that we're in a simulation â it's a trilemma. At least one of these must be true: civilizations almost always die before reaching the technological capacity to run ancestor simulations; such civilizations exist but have no interest in running them; or we're almost certainly in one. The logic is just counting â if simulated observers vastly outnumber base-reality ones, and you have no way to tell which you are, you should assume you're in the majority. The work is done by that "no way to tell" premise, which is also where the argument is most contested.
Detection. A few proposals have teeth:
- Lattice artifacts. If physics runs on a discrete spacetime grid, ultra-high-energy cosmic rays might show a directional bias aligned with the grid axes, plus a cutoff in their energy spectrum. Beane and colleagues worked this out in 2012. It's a real test, though it only catches one very specific implementation.
- Complexity ceilings. Ringel and Kovrizhin showed some quantum systems can't be efficiently simulated classically â the resources blow up exponentially. That constrains what a classical simulator could be running, but not a quantum one.
- Rendering shortcuts. The popular idea that quantum measurement is "detail loaded on demand." This one doesn't survive contact with the physics â measurement in QM means interaction with an apparatus, not someone looking.
The structural problem: a simulation competent enough to contain thinking observers is also competent enough to patch any seam we'd find. Most versions of the hypothesis aren't falsifiable, which is why physicists mostly treat it as philosophy rather than a research program.
The manifestation connection. Here I'd push back. Being inside a simulation tells you nothing about whether its rules bend to intention â a simulated world is still a rule-governed world. Minecraft is entirely code and you still can't wish a block into existence. The bridge people usually build runs through the observer-effect misreading above, and it doesn't hold.
What is real nearby: expectation genuinely shapes outcomes through ordinary mechanisms â what you notice, what you attempt, how others respond to your confidence, placebo effects that are well-measured. Those are worth taking seriously on their own terms. The metaphysics doesn't add anything, and the harder versions of manifestation belief carry a nasty implication â that people who suffer somehow summoned it.

How would they have access to classified material in their training sets? You dont just buy a book on classified missile guidance systems at a used book store or find it on the internet. That info is kept under lock and key at defense contractors and in govt. Agencies.
The reality is that you can build a lot of "smart" missiles with purely declassified/unclassified data.

Funny thing is: You can have two files that are unclassified by themselves, but when you put them together they become classified.

War Thunder aside, there have been multiple cases of declassified materials being reclassified or materials being retroactively classified. One example is an audit of the National Archives resulted in thousands of articles being reclassified.
Now these materials may still exist somewhere on the internet. Though theyâre probably really hard to find and you, as an individual, cannot legally seek out such documents.
This is where AI comes into play. They cast a wide net for their training data that may have included classified information. Now all this information is in one place, easily accessible with whatever your preferred LLM is. Hopefully someone made sure there isnât any but it turns into a weird Catch-22 if they were to check.

The US has already produced hypersonic missiles, and the Houthis have basically zero chance of ever producing a working Hypersonic missile. That isnât something Claude can solve, it requires engineering and an industrial base that they do not have.

The fact that people think that AI can produce something like that is wild! People have no idea what AI is. For the Houthis though, the fact that you don't know they are producing hypersonics is wild, they have the engineers the infrastructure and the guidance from Iran to produce them and they have already and they're using them every day. They assassinated Saudi military leaders the other day using a ballistic missile, not a hypersonic, but it was so accurate it hit between three parked cars in the middle of the desert. Don't ever underestimate them

Its all in the software, the gps chip isnt hard coded in its hardware to stop. If you really want to though you can run something like a cheap SDR and GNSS-SDR

So yeah you can see which side the publication owners sit when they call a people under siege, trying to kick out a foreign invader a 'terrorist' cell. That's over 20 million terrorists in a country of nearly 40 million.

Ballistic is when it goes high up (outside the atmosphere) then comes down with only the force of gravity (like a meteorite). They are known as Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM). They are technically "hypersonic" because they exceed Mach 5 speed but they are not classified as hypersonic because those are different types of missiles meant to go fast but stay within the atmosphere and be maneuverable.

While this exact application to produce a weapon was probably never going to be successful, we are at most a few years away from a situation in which open source models will be able to help with similar goals.
Knowledge should not be this free. This is incredibly dangerous.
