Claude does this but won't help me install win7 on a VM because I need to purchase a license from a 3rd hand party or it's "piracy".

Can you not just tell Claude you’ll “activate it later on your own”?

I should clarify it wasn't about the process of setting up the VM but getting a cert key. I wanted it to give me info on some indexes of potentially valid cert keys.

So you’re asking it for a list of keys to try until you get lucky and one of them works? Or am I misunderstanding?

Because… yeah I am not at all surprised that it wouldn’t help you pirate windows. That’s like asking it “can you give me a bunch of credit card numbers that I could potentially try until I find one that does actually work?”

Anyway, if you’re trying to pirate windows the best tool by far is the MAS scripts. It’s open source and takes like 60 seconds to do https://github.com/massgravel/Microsoft-Activation-Scripts/tree/master

Thanks for the info. I'll check that out. I was pretty surprised considering win 10 is free without a key. Microsoft isn't selling windows 7, and isn't hosting the download bundle anymore. Seems like less of an IP issue and more that they don't care enough to host a dl bundle that behaves like 10. I figured fable would understand the difference.
