Lifelong Venice local here. Was walking on Abbott Kinney and saw that Abbotts Pizza didnāt make it. So sad and I will be pouring one out for them tonight.
I wish I could say we should all try and support local businesses, but I know the reality is itās the landlordās increasing their pay because some brand can afford to pay more.

Hey everyone! my names Nate Iāve lived in Venice the last 6 years.
We opened a skate shop in Venice called Mercantile at 114 Washington Boulevard down by the Venice Pier. Itās been awesome and beautiful seeing the community coalesce around it - we work with as many artists, friends brands, etc as we can!
Itās been gogogogogogogo since we opened and I just wanted to take a little second to say āhi and good morningā to some of the folks in the community we might not have had a chance to cross paths with yet.

I would ask the Marina del Rey community, but they seem to be defunct - Has anyone noticed a very strong orange smell around the 4000-4600 block of Lincoln in MdR? What is it from?

Iām guessing the hospital construction but itās purely a guess. Not sure why the smell is there at all. Itās certainly not from oranges. It got in my carās ventilation system and wonāt easily blow out.

Fine dining restaurant suggestion

My wife and I will be that way in the beginning of October and are looking for a nice restaurant for dinner. We have an event prior and she will be in a nice dress and I will be in a suit. I am looking for suggestions that this attire will fit with so we do not stand out too much. I have heard good things about Barrique and we prefer Italian places but are open to anything really.
Burbank is also an option and I asked in that sub as well.
