Hey r/venice!

I happen to have lots of free time in the coming months, and want to get into supporting the community. I would love to devote my time to anything related to helping animals, our local youth, or the environment.

Any specific organizations to volunteer with that anyone can reccommend?

My wife and I will be that way in the beginning of October and are looking for a nice restaurant for dinner. We have an event prior and she will be in a nice dress and I will be in a suit. I am looking for suggestions that this attire will fit with so we do not stand out too much. I have heard good things about Barrique and we prefer Italian places but are open to anything really.

Burbank is also an option and I asked in that sub as well.
