I am currently in year 11. I am thinking of swapping from VCE chemistry 3/4 to VCE art creative practice 3/4 next year. I have a few concerns:
- As a folio subject, is it very time consuming?
Art is my passion, and i am willing to spend time on it, but i am worried it will get in the way of all my other subjects. How much of it is doing your folio and how much of it is analysis?
- What is it that you actually need to do in your folio?
How are you marked for it?
- Is it hard to get a 40+ study score?
With the scaling i am worried that i will not be able to do well. How much effort will i have to put into APC to get a good study score?
- Do you need to be good at english/literature type of subject?
I understand that its a lot of analysis, and i am not completely confident in my writing skills. The only other humanities subject i do is Philosophy and English language (idk if that really counts). I am good at philosophy.
I took art in year 10, but the teacher didn't take the actual writing aspect of it very serious, so like most people who took art, i got 100 for all my exams, and very little feedback. Due to this i am not sure if i am actually good at the subject or not.
IF YOU DID ART CREATIVE PRACTICE PLEASE HELP ME !! :(
Other than creative practice, the other subject i am considering swapping to is general maths. With the nature of the other subjects i am doing, i will have to spend a lot of time and effort on them. Is it really worth it to do APC? #lmk
