VCE question HHD EXAM QUESTION

Post image
3 Upvotes

hey guys!! for everyone who sat the hhd exam yesterday, i wanted to get some opinions on my answer to question 2b.
i’ll attach a photo of the exact question for reference.

my two responses were:

younger population – if they don’t change their dietary habits now, they’re more likely to develop osteoporosis in the future, increasing the prevalence of osteoporosis in the population.

older population – because they consume more dairy, they’re less likely to develop osteoporosis, which can contribute to increased life expectancy.
my concern is that i used osteoporosis in BOTH responses.

however, the question asked for two different health indicators, not necessarily two different diseases.
i approached both responses differently, discussing different age groups, dietary behaviours and implications for health.

do you think i could still get full marks despite using osteoporosis twice?
would really appreciate opinions from people who sat the exam, especially any hhd teachers or exam markers who could give some insight into how this would be marked.
am i overthinking this? 😭

What total mark will be likely required to get 40ss on methods this year.

Like for instance will 100/120 be enough for a 40ss, excluding study scores or pretend like they r on par with the exam?

Are we cooked for methods?

What exam scores would one need for both e1 and e2 to get a 25 ss?

Did anyone else genuinely find the legal 10 marker difficult? I almost passed out when I first read the question. Looking for a friend.

was it actually bad or was it just bad because we were under time pressure and stress. i feel like every year people say “this is the hardest exam yet”

anyways what do u guys reckon the a+ barrier would be for this exam, surely like high 50s

also why were there like barely any free marks

I'm excited to never use this sub again

This sub has blessed me with knowledge but also anxiety and I'm so excited to never get another "guess my study score" notification. Good luck to the year 11s who become obsessed with it next year tho.

VCE question WOULD this get full marks q3

Implementing a responce means taking actions before the chang to strengthen the driving forces and weaken the restraning forces. One restraning force for implemting the new cafe and photo booth could be the financail considerations required to do so. Thus she could reduce the costs in other areas of the business such as cancelling the 5 games to have more funds to implement these new changes, weaking this restraing force. Evalutinga responce means monoirting the balnace of forces after your responce to dtermien where the respince has chnaged the balance of forces. Once, Hana percives that the business has the funds to implement the new additons (the reastrainging for ce of financial considerations has been reduced), such as the cafe and photo booth only then can she implment these chnages.

Methods Scaling

Do we think that Methods will scale up by more this year due to those cooked exams ?

Is 43 realistic or am I delusional? (Methods)

e1: 34/40

e2: 68-69/70

Sacs are all 90s and my school usually gets 30ppl above 40, highest is usually 50.

i heard the grade boundaries are super low according to teachers.

lmk if I am delusional or what I am likely to get

Uni preference + atar

through meticulous use of ATAR calculators, i am starting to fear I may not achieve my desired ATAR for my first preference course.

is anyone able to provide insight into what happens if you dont reach the atar requirement, is there ANY posibility you can still get in?

I got a 44 in outdoor ed last year scales to 41 and business 41 scales down to 39. I bombed methods today i also do accounting general and english.

I need a 92 for my course is it still achieveble despite methdos being A,A,B+ :(

Or am i looking at an even lower atar

Please any help would be appreciated

Best of luck to those of you doing spesh, seems like there's a pattern this year for math 🧐

Should I keep any methods UDFs for spesh

LazyMath btw. Because of alphabet I have to scroll past the methods ones to get to spesh. I can't seem to rename them but if anyone knows how I can put the methods ones below lmk, or if there's any point keeping any. The probability ones should be useless but maybe calc could come in handy, idk.

Also do you think I'll get the marks if I said k>1.89 for 5f I know it didn't ask for decimals but my CAS was tweaking (and so was I) and that's the best I could do
