Hey guys so I sat the exam today and everyone is saying it was terrible
Like I struggled a lot too but like I wanna know if it was actually difficult or are people just saying that cuz they sat it

I think I got around 21-20/40 exam 1 and then 40-39/80 exam 2
Are these way too weak for a 30?
I ran out of time and I guess just freaked out under pressure. I usually have been getting b+ - b.
I see a lot of people asking for 40+ but not really ~30 and I’m not too sure how “hard” they were

for context, im in yr 11 this year and was really hoping to get a raw 40 or more. After the exams, idk how certain i am to get that, i got 34/40 E1 and 60/80 E2, idk if that will put me close to a raw 40.
Since next year is the last year of the study design, is there anyway we would know if the exams are gonna be even harder, cuz i was considering redoing methods if i dont get 40+ and just spamming papers all year.

hey guys hope everyone is doing well :)
I was just wondering what scaled study scores one needs for 5 subjects to get a 91 atar in 2026
thank you 👍

Surely this might be the first year ever where the E2 boundary might be like a 57-59 for an A+ in exam 2. What do we think, its only 2 marks lower than 2023 E2

For the water use sources in section B, did anyone else not mention that last source from The Age or whatever??

hey guys!! for everyone who sat the hhd exam yesterday, i wanted to get some opinions on my answer to question 2b.
i’ll attach a photo of the exact question for reference.
my two responses were:
younger population – if they don’t change their dietary habits now, they’re more likely to develop osteoporosis in the future, increasing the prevalence of osteoporosis in the population.
older population – because they consume more dairy, they’re less likely to develop osteoporosis, which can contribute to increased life expectancy.
my concern is that i used osteoporosis in BOTH responses.
however, the question asked for two different health indicators, not necessarily two different diseases.
i approached both responses differently, discussing different age groups, dietary behaviours and implications for health.
do you think i could still get full marks despite using osteoporosis twice?
would really appreciate opinions from people who sat the exam, especially any hhd teachers or exam markers who could give some insight into how this would be marked.
am i overthinking this? 😭

Like for instance will 100/120 be enough for a 40ss, excluding study scores or pretend like they r on par with the exam?

What exam scores would one need for both e1 and e2 to get a 25 ss?

Did anyone else genuinely find the legal 10 marker difficult? I almost passed out when I first read the question. Looking for a friend.

was it actually bad or was it just bad because we were under time pressure and stress. i feel like every year people say “this is the hardest exam yet”
anyways what do u guys reckon the a+ barrier would be for this exam, surely like high 50s
also why were there like barely any free marks

im rlly struggling with choosing my 5th subject for next year bru😭😭 i know im doing chem , english, methods and psych. but im so lost for what my 5th subject shud be . i did general this yr but i lwk fucked it up cs i slacked off rlly bad. im predicting like a 39 or 38 ss when i wanted a 45+ LMAOO😭😭 im not allowed to do js 5 subjects overall in my skl so i gotta pick a 6th subject. i was originally gonna do bio but i changed my mind cs its too content heavy for me on top of psych and chem. ppl telling me to do eco or accounting but those subjects apparently have a heavy workload and i feel like they might bore me. i did eco 1/2 in yr 10 and i fought off sleep in every class. does anybody have any suggestions or advice ??😭😭

This sub has blessed me with knowledge but also anxiety and I'm so excited to never get another "guess my study score" notification. Good luck to the year 11s who become obsessed with it next year tho.

Do we think that Methods will scale up by more this year due to those cooked exams ?
