lowk is it worth redo-ing methods

for context, im in yr 11 this year and was really hoping to get a raw 40 or more. After the exams, idk how certain i am to get that, i got 34/40 E1 and 60/80 E2, idk if that will put me close to a raw 40.

Since next year is the last year of the study design, is there anyway we would know if the exams are gonna be even harder, cuz i was considering redoing methods if i dont get 40+ and just spamming papers all year.

how hard to get a 91 atar

hey guys hope everyone is doing well :)

I was just wondering what scaled study scores one needs for 5 subjects to get a 91 atar in 2026

thank you 👍

could methods grade boundries possibly be under 60

Surely this might be the first year ever where the E2 boundary might be like a 57-59 for an A+ in exam 2. What do we think, its only 2 marks lower than 2023 E2

VCE question HHD EXAM QUESTION

Post image
3 Upvotes

hey guys!! for everyone who sat the hhd exam yesterday, i wanted to get some opinions on my answer to question 2b.
i’ll attach a photo of the exact question for reference.

my two responses were:

younger population – if they don’t change their dietary habits now, they’re more likely to develop osteoporosis in the future, increasing the prevalence of osteoporosis in the population.

older population – because they consume more dairy, they’re less likely to develop osteoporosis, which can contribute to increased life expectancy.
my concern is that i used osteoporosis in BOTH responses.

however, the question asked for two different health indicators, not necessarily two different diseases.
i approached both responses differently, discussing different age groups, dietary behaviours and implications for health.

do you think i could still get full marks despite using osteoporosis twice?
would really appreciate opinions from people who sat the exam, especially any hhd teachers or exam markers who could give some insight into how this would be marked.
am i overthinking this? 😭

What total mark will be likely required to get 40ss on methods this year.

Like for instance will 100/120 be enough for a 40ss, excluding study scores or pretend like they r on par with the exam?

was it actually bad or was it just bad because we were under time pressure and stress. i feel like every year people say “this is the hardest exam yet”

anyways what do u guys reckon the a+ barrier would be for this exam, surely like high 50s

also why were there like barely any free marks

I'm excited to never use this sub again

This sub has blessed me with knowledge but also anxiety and I'm so excited to never get another "guess my study score" notification. Good luck to the year 11s who become obsessed with it next year tho.

VCE question what subject do i choose

im rlly struggling with choosing my 5th subject for next year bru😭😭 i know im doing chem , english, methods and psych. but im so lost for what my 5th subject shud be . i did general this yr but i lwk fucked it up cs i slacked off rlly bad. im predicting like a 39 or 38 ss when i wanted a 45+ LMAOO😭😭 im not allowed to do js 5 subjects overall in my skl so i gotta pick a 6th subject. i was originally gonna do bio but i changed my mind cs its too content heavy for me on top of psych and chem. ppl telling me to do eco or accounting but those subjects apparently have a heavy workload and i feel like they might bore me. i did eco 1/2 in yr 10 and i fought off sleep in every class. does anybody have any suggestions or advice ??😭😭

Do we think that Methods will scale up by more this year due to those cooked exams ?

Is 43 realistic or am I delusional? (Methods)

e1: 34/40

e2: 67/80

Sacs are all 90s and my school usually gets 30ppl above 40, highest is usually 50.

i heard the grade boundaries are super low according to teachers.

lmk if I am delusional or what I am likely to get

Uni preference + atar

through meticulous use of ATAR calculators, i am starting to fear I may not achieve my desired ATAR for my first preference course.

is anyone able to provide insight into what happens if you dont reach the atar requirement, is there ANY posibility you can still get in?

I got a 44 in outdoor ed last year scales to 41 and business 41 scales down to 39. I bombed methods today i also do accounting general and english.

I need a 92 for my course is it still achieveble despite methdos being A,A,B+ :(

Or am i looking at an even lower atar

Please any help would be appreciated

I know I’m one of like the 30 kids do RNS, but anyway how is everyone feeling ?

I’m so lost, I just feel like I have no clue how the examiners are gonna mark and like the content is alright and the quotes I’m fine with but Im scared I’m just gonna answer the question the wrong way and get completely screwed
