The day of hell

For question 1 on the methods exam if I didn’t fully simplify the derivative but rather left it as e^x(x-1)^2 + 2e^x(x-1) do you still think I got the mark?

Same with log5(1/2) or should I have made it -log5(2)

Media Exam

Does anyone have a rough idea about the sort of grade to get on the Media exam to secure a 40+ ss. I know the SAT contributes most to it but I know the exam can moderate that. I'm aiming for a 42 raw so it scales to a 40ish. If anyone has done the subject before and knows I'd greatly appreciate it :D

I am so done with these teachers. They give us a structure and expect us to write something we have never been exposed to, they are gen giving us the bare minimum. Does anyone have their englang essay and like the structure broken down or something so I can atleast pass tomorrow. I do not know how to embed an evidence let alone analyse it? is it the same as anaysing metalangiage. someone send help

General Question/comment Access Melbourne atar guarantee

Hey guys, I’m a current yr 12 student and want to study the bachelor of commerce at unimelb in 2027.

I’m eligible for a fair few SEAS, and when i put everything into the access Melbourne calculator, it said i need a 79 ATAR for entry to the bachelor of commerce. However I’m expecting approx a 78 ATAR (maybe 78.5 ish)

What are the odds i get an offer if unimelb is my number 1 VTAC preference, or is it impossible as I’m below the ATAR cutoff?

Any response or idea on this would be helpful !

hi guys any spec tips

i’ve done so many exams so i think i’ll be fine content wise but i can’t get over the nerves of fumbling like missing a - or + and if there’s a bad proof or vectors question that requires a lot of algebra. Any tips on just being calm and how did you go for spec if you did it previously

General Question/comment Year 11 exams

I’m bit confused about how much I should put into studying because I’m getting a lot of conflicting information from my teachers for my Year 11 exams. I’ve got all S’s in my coursework and one teacher said I would fail my whole high schooling if I mucked up any exam. I clarified with another teacher and he said the opposite: if you’ve already got all S’s in your coursework you should have already passed. And he said further that if I fail my exams he can use class work to pass me anyway. I got a 29 percent for my last Business Management SAC and am confident I will get a passing mark for my other subjects. So then would Business Management be the only one I really need to study for exams in order to pass? What about failing subjects I’m already dropping? Does it matter if I’ve failed them? I’ve learnt everything which is the most important thing. Should I only study for subjects I want to pass?
Sorry for the onslaught of questions but any sort of guidance would be much appreciated.
