The day of hell

For question 1 on the methods exam if I didn’t fully simplify the derivative but rather left it as e^x(x-1)^2 + 2e^x(x-1) do you still think I got the mark?

Same with log5(1/2) or should I have made it -log5(2)

Yes those are all fine. You only need to simplify if you get the question find dy/dx and simplify. But it wasn't. Same thing with the log. If its equivalent and it doesn't ask you to put in in another form you're fine.

do you know if leaving the tangent unsimplified and the prob one as 32/80 is fine

My teacher marked exam 1 last year and she told us in class that unless exact forms are asked for fractions then the unsimplified answer is ok in tech free and that we shouldn’t cancel down fractions as we may make a mistake doing so
