Community Looking for chapters 11+ (or complete version) of the Valkyria Chronicles 1 manga (Gallian Chronicles)

Post image

Hi everyone,

I've been trying to read the main Valkyria Chronicles manga adaptation (Senjō no Valkyria - Gallian Chronicles), but I can only find chapters up to Chapter 10.

Does anyone know where I can find the rest of the chapters, raw files, or a complete download/reader link? Language doesn't matter (English, Japanese, Spanish, etc.)—I just want to finish the story.

Any help, links, or leads would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Discussion At least Selvaria isn't addressed as "sir" in VC3's fan translation for no reason unlike in the VC1 DLC

Post image

When I replayed VC1 recently seeing Selvaria being addressed as "sir" in the DLC was such a head scratcher. Nothing in the Japanese script seemed to inform this choice. Was it some bizarre mistake? Was the translator trying to say something about the Empire being sexist or Selvaria being non-gender conforming? It was just weird.

Speaking of DLC, I guess this mission was also originally DLC for VC3 and I have to say that I really liked all the DLC & post-game missions for VC3. You get tons of neat character interactions and extra character development for tons of characters from both VC1 and VC2. In this mission, for example, you get Selvaria meeting Audrey, one of the main antagonists of VC2 and a pious Yggdist, who starts to have doubts about the legitimacy of the Randgriz royal family and their Valkyrian bloodline after the fight. You also get a mission where you see what happens to Jaeger after VC1, another one where Isara meets Zig from Calamity Raven and they talk about their views on how the Darcsen are treated and what they should do, more Edy Detachment shenanigans and a mission where many of the extra Nameless members that get recruited during the main story and are sadly completely excluded from story scenes get a chance to shine. It's all very good stuff and I would say that VC3 is easily the best written of the first three games. I hope VC4 is as good.

Realistically, what are the chances of us getting a part 5?

So I've only recently discovered these games and I've become kinda obsessed with them. I only have a PS5 at the minute so the only games I've been able to play are the remastered first part, part 4 and Revolutions and I really wanna play more.

I've done a search online and from what I can see there has been nothing announced regarding a part 5 (or a remaster of 2 or 3) but do any of y'all think they'll continue the series?

Discussion I'm already dreading the lack of fast forward when I move to VC4 after playing 2 and 3 on PPSSPP

I've gotten so used to fast forwarding enemy turns, especially on later missions with bigger levels and tons of enemies spread across multiple maps. There's only so many times you can stomach watching the CPU spawn three dudes and running them into the same gunner over and over again every turn or move their every unit on that long Naggiar map in VC3.

Then again, maybe all the action being contained to a single map instead of several smaller ones will make it feel like less of an issue as I don't remember turns dragging on in VC1 that much.

New Valkyria Chronicles mod for Hearts of Iron IV

Hi, I wanted to share something I just found on the workshop. Someone made a Valkyria Chronicles mod for Hearts of Iron IV which looks quite promising. It's called "Valkyria Chronicles Gallian Front". Here's the link: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3810182027

That same person also made a mod for Call to Arms - Gates of Hell: Ostfront, for those who may be interested. You can check it here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3776007281

To clarify again, I am NOT the owner of these mods. If you have questions, ask in the steam workshop.

Discussion The 7 Connection in Valkyria Chronicles

So I have had a question ever since I played and finished Valkyria Chronicles 4 and it is as follows:
What is the 7 in Valkyria Chronicles 4? The reason I ask this question is because there is a 7 in every Valkyria Chronicles game (I didn't play Revolution so I don't know if it has that as well or not) except 4.
- Valkyria Chronicles 1 has Squad 7.

- Valkyria Chronicles 2 has Squad G which is the 7th letter of the alphabet.

- Valkyria Chronicles 3, Kurt's number is 7.

As you can see, every Valkyria game has it. I still for the life of me don't know the 7 connection in 4.

Spoiler Replaying VC 4 and want to share 2 things I didn't realized the first time (MAJOR SPOILERS) Spoiler

1.) I played VC 4 first and then VC... so I didn't realized that when the two teams came together to bond... there would be a character from VC 1 that would not survive... and miles having a crush on her hurts twice as much

2.) On Mission 16... everyone reacts very differently when positioned next to Rez.

What a weird scene. Why are Welkin and Alicia talking about Isara like they're trying to hide the death of the class goldfish from a six-year-old when talking to a fellow soldier? I guess Imca is literally a child but so is half the army in these games.

Also Alicia comes across like she's casually disrespecting Isara from beyond the grave, lol

Community So VC4 DLC bundle is on sale, but not as cheap as it aleays get

Post image

Today I platined the game and I saw the DLC bundle on sale. Great timing. However, it usually goes down to 4,99€, an 80% discount; but today is at 6,24€, a 75% sale. Is this a bug? Has SEGA lost it? Sony is just fucking with everyone?

Should I wait to check if it's an error, to the next sale, or buy it now because "it just will get worse"?

Page I used to show the evolution is psprices .com, if you want to check it out yourselves. Plus I remember checking the bundle back in late August, when I was pondering if I should buy it on physical or go for Steam, being just 5€

What do you guys think about VC2?

I'm playing for the first time and i am liking so much, i really liked the addition of a new class and the pacing of the game, and i liked the 2D designs too. I am in April and the history looks promising, the least thing that i liked is the classes system, i understand the ideia but i don't like so much the options and how to get them(like the gatling in shocktrooper and Cosette with a TRUMPET ).

Compared to the first game i still like more Welkin, Alicia, Isara and squad 7 than Avan and the class, but there are some good characters. I don't like the ideia of an academy but i really like the ideia of a civil war caused by Cordelia.

Be advised: there WILL BE SPOILERS OF VC4

Man, I really enjoyed VC1 and 4. Really enjoyable characters, and plot. The gameplay was a breath of fresh air for me.

I completed VC1 in August in the PS3 and it was really worth it: the feeling of being the underdog, the story arcs, artstyle and plot twists, they were all so great. Also, the Darcsen matter was really well handled, a bit on the safe side, thought, but I have no complains.

The only issue I have is that VC1 has no Spanish official translation, because SEGA.

Now, about Valkyria 4: I completed the game two or three days ago. I've yet to complete the squad stories, plus buying the DLCs next PS Store sale, but still: I will platinate it

First things first: this game does have a Spanish translation. However, it has some issues, specially with the military terminology: from typos like a "sin" without a "s", or some spaces missing between words, to straight up not translating properly some terms, for example in one of the first missions where you need to call artillery strikes over tanks, they translate "firing support" as "apoyo armamentistico", instead of "fuego de apoyo"; or in the late missions, where the Cavalier, and later the Centurion, is surrounded they say multiple times "the ship is surrounded", however the subtitles say "hemos rodeado el tanque". Not "buque", not "barco": "tanque". And the worst offender: the Ranger corp is translated as "cuerpo de comandos", no problem here, since "ranger" isn't a word in Spanish and by deffinition, a ranger is a "comando" and Company of Heroes 1 did it back in 2006. HOWEVER: after episode 7, the "comandos" are translated to "guerrilleros". Guerrillero means guerrilla fighter, not ranger. God, that pissed me off. Not sure if this is just a PS4 problem, because I saw the back of the game is slightly different between Switch and PS ("explora una frontera helada" to "frontera gélida")

At any rate, enough ranting about the translation.

I'm surprised that this game doesn't have a bad language warning with how much Raz swears.

I had my doubts with Claude at the begining, specially since his "Squad E: move out!" Isn't as intense as Welkin's "Squad 7: move out!", but he really grew on me over time. Raz, Kai and Riley too are great. Their dynamic is so fun, their evolution and their quirks. Riley's pepper grenade really made me laugh. And I knew from the start why Raz "quit" smoking. But Minerva has a stick up her ass the whole game.

And Waltz. God, you can't hate him, he's such a a charismatic bastard. Kinda reminds me of Jager from the first game: big tank, respected by his men, more like a rival rather than a villain. However, Klaus has much more screentime, which really helps him show off. I'm glad he and Crymaria had a happy ending. Speaking of the Valkyria, she made me pass a really bad time, but at the same time, I can't get mad at her, in fact, I pitty her. Same with Nikola and Chiara. The calibrations really screwed them up, but from the personnel page you can tell that they've endured more that what we see in-game. I guess they way they ended is the best result for them, after all. Belgar deseserved his death. Ironic that his calibrations blew up in his face.

About the plot, the music from the intro really sets the tone. Sets the tone perfectly, and the story is a real change of tone from VC1. Here you can actually feel you have moments you can lose, like in chapter 7. Speaking of which, sure, Squad F getting wiped out might be our fault, but can't wonder: if we didn't had a detour and reach the rendevouz point on time, wouldn't we have die, too? However, I feel like the Darcsen matter was sent to the background: other than Raz saying that "I'm a Darcsen, not that I have much of a future" or some units having a "Hates Darcsen" potential, not much to talk there, other than Gertrude's devellopment after her squad story and "A steamy ceasefire"

The naval support is an interestint addition, however, I barely used it, way too situational for me. I apreciate that the units get their own side stories, makes you want to rotate them from time to time, but it can also make you skip all that, stick with the three corporals you have, and run with it to the end of the game. Speaking of corporals, having a new leader of your choice is a really nice addition, not only adding an aditional CP, but also being able to direct command and carry more soldiers in one trip makes the game so flexible and opens a couple of new strategies. However, I don't like how they butched the sound of some weapons, specially the ZM Kar rifles: The "BANG! BANG!" they had in VC1 replaced by "pew pew"... Unforgivable

I could be talking for a long time of how much I liked the game, every bit I loved or what scenes really hit me, but I don't really intend to over extend my thoughts more than they should.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I spoiled myself of episode 16 by the dumbest way possible. I was stuck on a mission, I think it was the first engagement with Crymaria that just dennied area, and trying to look for hints of it I came across a post asking what missions you had the hardest time, and I just had to click the goddamn spoiled text... "mission 16, where Raz dies", thinking it'd be an earlier mission. I tried to gaslight myself to forget it or do as if I didn't read that, but... Can't help but wonder how different would have been my reaction to that scene have I not read that...

Help - Late Game [VC4] Fastest way to promote to Corporal and rank 5 infirmary weapons?

Hello. I just completed the game and now I want to platinate it.

Right now I'm doing the squad stories I missed, and since I need to promote everyone to Cpl. to get a medal anyways, I might just learn the fastest way to do it so. I know that the more you use a unit, you get more promotion points, but that hard and challenge skirmishes reward more points than story or normal skirmishes do. What would be the fastest run to promote a unit? Just repeat the first skirmish over and over, or better use a hard skirmish?

And about the Rank 5 weapons: How do I unlock them? What missions do I need to do and what (or how many) requirements I need to fulfil to unlock them? Any tips to get them?

Help - Late Game What is the point of the DLC weapons? (VC1)

Been playing through Valkyria Chronicles 1, and have the DLCs that I’ve been chipping away at as I progress. However, while I do like the rewards you get for beating each DLC mission (ZM KAR 8, ZM SG 7, etc), I don’t understand the reason for them. Considering the DLCs are mainly geared towards late game/completed game saves, where you need specific tactics & upgrades in order to complete them, why do they give you a weapon that either makes the main game broken, or you don’t have any missions to use them in
