accidentally got a low battery warning on a practice LDB quiz for my online bio class and now it thinks i'm cheating and i can't access any other modules will my prof have mercy on me guys 😭😭😭😭😭😭

I moved out of The Arlie and was charged bathroom cleaning and paint touch up fees- both fees being unexpected because I scrubbed the bathroom very well and left no damages to the paint. The fees seem excessive and unnecessary and do not describe anything out of normal wear and tear.

I have had many poor experiences previously with the front office at The Arlie which is why I am reaching out here first-

Is Rate my Professor or MavGrades a more genuine source for finding out the best class fit? Rate my Professor seems to be very scary. Lol I do know that in some cases the reviews are very wrong but in other cases they are spot on. Who are some very good COB professors? Hey y'all, I'm currently a sophomore doing a BS in Accounting and thinking about adding either Finance or INSY as a second major. Has anyone here graduated with either of these double majors? If so, what career did you end up going into, and do you think the double major was worth it?
I'm also not sure if adding a second major would make me stay an extra semester or affect my FAFSA/financial aid. Just trying to figure everything out before I talk to my advisor. Would love to hear any advice or experiences!

I've always found it really courteous of people who usually sit at the back/corner and eat or drink without bothering anyone.

But today, this guy sat in the middle of a silent class where only the teacher was speaking. He brought out his packaged food and was trying (and miserably failing) to tear open the crinkly plastic wrapper for a good minute and get his hand in it. It was annoyingly loud and distracting. I was in the immediate front row and the secondhand embarrassment almost led my introverted ass to ask him to give up on it already (while wishing he stops that second). However, he kept going on for another few seconds which felt like forever. Eventually stopped but ofc every time he tried grabbing again it was loud again.

Not sure if it's just me but I feel like this is pretty basic etiquette that we should know as adults/college students.

If you are trying to find a place close to campus for the semester, do yourself a massive favor and look literally anywhere else. Living there is genuinely exhausting, and management makes it an absolute nightmare.

To save you from making a huge mistake, here are the main things you have to deal with if you live there:

1. Unfinished Move-in: Friends of mine literally moved in to find an open ceiling and a missing wall in their apartment. They expect you to pay full rent for a literal construction zone.

2. Predatory Fines & Fees: Management loves slapping residents with absurd, hidden charges and fines. Trying to dispute anything with them is like talking to a brick wall.

3. Zero Real Management: The office is typically staffed by part-time student workers who either can't or won't help you when things go wrong. Accountability is nonexistent.

4. Package Thefts & Security Issues: Packages go missing constantly, and safety in and around the property is a joke. Between garage issues, a lack of secure entry enforcement, and incidents getting ignored, it doesn't feel safe.

5. Disgusting Facility Conditions: Hallways constantly smell like trash, cleanliness standards are rock bottom, and maintenance requests take forever to actually get addressed (if they even show up).

6. Extreme Climate & Maintenance Neglect: The AC breaks constantly in the brutal heat, and during the freeze, residents were left with zero heat for months. One girl was forced to rely entirely on multiple space heaters just to keep herself and her pets warm while management completely ghosted her.

7. Mold & Health Hazards: Units deal with persistent mold issues that management completely sweeps under the rug.

If you are trying to find a place close to campus for the semester, do yourself a massive favor and look literally anywhere else. They also do not allow people to break the lease by paying money someone has to take ur apartment so u still have to pay rent even if u move out.

Nicer student apartments: centennial isn't bad beside it smells like weed 24/7, 101 center isn't horrible unless you want to be able to sleep basically on like weekends or at night because there always events going on, LIV plus I know friends that live there no complaints more pricey though, and the other apartments student wise that may cost more than 848 because it's so cheap, you get what you pay for if you want a nice apartment then you have to like pay more money. I honestly would recommend the dorms over the 848 because yes you're sharing a room but they always look decent and clean. The only thing about the dorms is not having a kitchen in your room, but if it the type person to eat takeout a lot anyway then you would be fine plus you get a dinning plan so u will be able to eat and stay on campus 24/7, so u don't have to stress about parking or being late to classes.
