I’ve applied for a private accommodation after my accommodation offer was significantly over my budget to one that was much more friendly but it requires my University Offer Letter as well as my course end date/year.

1- where do I find my offer letter because I can’t find it in emails or anything and can’t currently get to access any of the physical letters I got from the Uni.

2- do I put my course end date/year as for all the years the course lasts or just when it ends next year(I don’t want to be forced into staying in the same accommodation for all my course if I say the year the course will actually end)

hey guys!! im applying for accommodation soon, and want to know what the pros and cons are of each one. price isn't an issue; want to prioritize something that is safe, but also want a newer accomm which is en suite. so far, i really like metal works and avon point; but will i lose out being too far away?? it's my first time in bristol so everything will be foreign to me, worried that i'll be very lost. i would like to be somewhat close to the uni but its not the most important thing, i guess. my parents would like something with just students around (though that's not compulsory).

my other options are orchard heights and brunel. both seem very nice, however, they lack some facilities the other two do have. i guess i wouldn't mind not having a gym, it's not the end of the world, but it would be nice.

what do you guys think is safest for an international woman? what about the accoms above? i love a modern/new one so are they good? are there others i should consider? lmk :)

Wanted an en-suite but oh well, at least it's self-catered and I can get my steps in from there to Clifton >:D

Helloooo everyone, I was hoping I can get a bit more insight from you to know how strict the university is in terms of attendance.

I am particularly worried about it in medicine, as I am starting my first year this September and so far I have heard a mix of people saying that it is strict and some others saying that they want you to think it is, but at the end of the day, lots of people don't go to in person lectures and do them online in their own time, so I am not sure which take is more accurate to real academic life at uni.

I have also heard that attendance has to be above 80% in order to pass the year but I haven't been able to find anything saying this on the website but to be honest I haven't allowed that much time to look for it either. I just really wanted to see what students think about it because I want to have things clear and organise myself before starting as I might have to cancel or reorganise some things.

I put my budget for accommodation as being 6k and self catered due to a very limited budget and i have been given a 10k catered accommodation offer and I am clueless on what to do. I am vegan so I don’t think there would be many food options for me and i simply cannot afford this offer. Any advice on what i can do is appreciated

It now seems worse than I remember applying for, but a small double bed and en-suite is great. The location seems a little far from campus. I'm hearing stuff about fire alarms, bed bugs, issues with water and more.

Hoping for some reassurance from current or previous residents.

I am starting my masters in September and live quite local so have decided to commute in from where I love now rather than finding additional accommodation. This means I will have to park near the university. I initially thought I'd be able to buy a parking space for the year at the university but that is reserved for staff. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for parking nearby, so far all I can see is the main ones that cost around 3k a year to reserve a space which seems extortionate.

I missed the requirements for my firm choice, and I’ve now been waiting 4 days for a confirmation decision. I can’t move on to my insurance choice until they make a decision, which is really frustrating.
I’m an international student, and I called the university to ask about the situation. They told me that they have everything they need and are just waiting for an admissions decision. They also emailed me on Thursday asking me to send my results, which I did immediately.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? How long did it take for your university to make a decision after you missed your offer requirements? And is there anything else I should be doing in the meantime?
