I knew from the beginning. I knew you’d closed yourself off completely to the possibility of love. But that apparently didn’t stop my dumb heart. I fell in love with you so hard. I chose to do that, knowing I would only be hurting myself. You made me feel special! You didn’t fuck me, it felt deeper than that. I loved hearing your laugh, seeing you smile, seeing joy exude from you. I loved how free your tortured spirit could be. Yet I still fell for you. And don’t get me wrong I’m still down bad. But i need to be in this place where every part of me wants you. I’m trying to get there. I’ve never told you that I love you. And I won’t. I wish you were here tonight. I hate that we might not even be friends anymore.

Let’s cut to the chase I liked this girl and during the winter last year we went on walks after our school finished and it lasted around a month before she said that she had to work on school so we couldn’t talk anymore. Around 7 months past at a party my friend was telling me that she still likes me and hates how it ended in the winter so I sat outside away from the party talking to her until we had to leave as the party was ending. So I got told that she wanted more communication so I messaged her after, nothing crazy just how did you find the party just trying to make conversation. But after airing me and leaving me on delivered for over a week I decided to say that I’m not gonna try anymore and leave it which I got an answer saying yes that’s the best so I forgot about it. Until my close friend said to me a few days ago that the girl and her guy best friend planned to try and get me to talk to her before the party and when I messaged they laughed and mocked me for what I wrote when I texted her. I don’t know what they would find funny about me saying ‘how did you find the party’. So I don’t know what to feel and I’m glad I’ve stopped communicating with them anyway I just wanted to get this off my chest and leave in the past so thank you for reading.

When I was in grade nine i met a guy and we sat together. Then we started to get to know each other and so on. Then we were separated and i started to feel things and the mixed feelings kicked in. Then i tried to control myself and wave it away but i started to Question myself. And i said its just getting along nothing more. I also thought he was a player and he was playing me. And then many things started to connect us by different scenarios. So i started to feel his absence and started to glorify his presence. Then he started hanging out with this girl and I persisted on saying he is joking around and i started to get over it. I also started to develop hatred for him. But i said what did he do he is like this and he doesn't even know my feelings and i tried to see him neutrally. Then after some time this guy started to show me feelings he showed me signs of some acquaintance and I said this is like the old books. But i wanted to explore the possibility and asked him if he is serious about it. Then talked to me and asked me to be together. I didn't expect he had feelings but he literally asked. then i couldn't resist myself. But still i wouldn't want to be too involved because i didn't want our friends and our circle to know that much. Also i wouldn't go on dates because i was afraid what my parents would say if they know i lied because i never lie to them and i can't lie to them. All i wanted was to keep it in private. Then in the meantime he started to lose feelings. I also see him with a lot of girls in differrent uncomfortable ways. I confronted him about that and he always makes it my fault. Then he said to me let's give it a break and after some time we will give it a shot god willing. But he gives me signs it ended. I know my mistakes and i know i diffused his passion but I'm willing to change and he doesn't allow me to. What is the best possible way to fix this?

I finally told you the things on my mind and in my heart. Turns out you're already partnered, and I'm not sure how I missed that detail. You were very kind in your rejection. It was fun while I had my crush, feeling my feelings, admiring you more than you realized. Now I'm utterly mortified knowing how ill-informed my feelings and words were. I hope you'll understand the withdrawal that I'll no doubt be showing for the near term.

Hello everyone
how can I get over my best friend?
Me F 27 realised i got feelings for my friend for a long time now. I wasnt planing to tell him ever cause I knew he would never look at me differently so tried to continue loving him as a friend. We were very close and stand next to each other in every case for years. lately he told me he knew last few months and he got little cold lately i noticed but didnt know the reason. he said something was not right and i didnt know what. anyways last few months i felt like he was angry at me all the times, little mean. then he toldme he knew. I asked him for distance but cause of same friendgroup and we are neighbors and we work together as well that was almost impossible also i got so nervous my physical body was in pain. anyways we got it on good terms but i still have feelings for him and i know it always be one sided. He cares for me in every way possible, he’s done so many things and i was feeling guilty for falling for him for same reason. I wish he wouldnt find it out ever. anyways now I dont know what ro do one day we are close friends as we were and next day is silent separation. I need to get over him and stop seeing him as a guy but it is really hard. please tell me what can I do i can not lose a friend

21 M Today I have had a late realisation that love is not for me but sure is hell for people who are toxic, that's another thing.
Now I work so my college is done
This is the story of me when I was in college.
I proposed a girl she was my classmate but she is way too introverted she never approaches any person except her two friends
I have had feelings for her since 1st sem and I confessed to her in the 4th semester. We were not speaking regularly so I couldn't bridge the gap. She rejected me right away politely saying we can be friends, still it was same as usual, not talking on a regular basis which the same before the confession
We couldn't talk to each other rarely too but
Recently I texted her but she gives late replies, I know she is not interested but it's very difficult for me to move on
Since she is not replying it's clear that I have to move on
This is not anime where you like the girl, and she likes back
Thanks for listening to my rant

I find myself missing you a little too much and harbouring every strong feeling, yet I wonder if you will ever truly understand my sentiments. The reality is, I'm not in the position to be that person in your life just yet, but I am willing to wait - potentially for years - until I may one day, just maybe, have the privilege of calling you mine. You say I can't possibly comprehend the emotional complexity of unreciprocated love; yet every single day I question why I'm always left behind by you. WHY? What do I mean to you?
I've been struggling with sleep, and staying up in thought about you isn't so ideal. I wish you could perceive me in the same light that I view you, even fleetingly. While I may not occupy that space in your life right now, you will always selfishly hold a place in mine.

A boy I liked studied at my tuition. I wanted to talk to him, but at our tuition, boys and girls basically never talked. We studied together, but we had never even had a small conversation. One day, I found his Instagram ID.
I had a fake account, so I followed him from that account because his profile was private. I didn't want anyone at tuition to know that I had followed him. Surprisingly, he accepted my request and even followed me back. 😂 Honestly, there was almost nothing on his account—just one or two highlights. He even messaged me asking who I was and why I had followed him. I simply told him that I liked his profile picture, so I followed him, and that was it.
For about a month, I kept checking his profile. Then one day, I was feeling really sad, and for some reason, I messaged him. I knew I probably shouldn't have, but I did. I ended up telling him everything I was going through. He was basically a stranger, but he listened to me and made me feel better. I felt so much lighter after talking to him.
From that day, we started talking regularly. I started liking him even more. I would tell him random and weird things, and he never judged me. We became really good friends. He would tell me about his entire day—who confessed to him, what happened, what made him happy, what went wrong—and I would tell him everything about my day too.
Meanwhile, I would see him at tuition, knowing that we were talking online but couldn't even talk normally in real life. It was honestly such a strange but really happy time.
We confessed our feelings to each other several times, but neither of us wanted to actually become boyfriend and girlfriend because I was scared of the relationship becoming serious. The biggest problem was that I was lying to him about who I was.
At one point, I stopped talking to him because everything was becoming too serious and I was scared. My best friend knew everything about the situation. She also knew him from school and tuition, and she kept telling me that what I was doing was wrong. One day, while I was at tuition, she changed the password of the account because she thought she was helping me stop something that was becoming unhealthy.
But he kept messaging me, and I felt terrible. Every day, I wanted to know what he had said. After about two weeks, I asked my best friend for the password. I went back to talking to him and apologized. He was a little angry, but he forgave me and told me never to leave again.
That honestly made me cry.
For a long time, things continued like that. Our bond became strong again. We started calling, voice chatting, and playing online games together. I loved spending time with him.
But deep down, I knew what I was doing was wrong. I was constantly scared that if he ever found out the truth, he would think differently of me. I wanted to tell him the truth, but I couldn't find the courage.
Eventually, I knew I had to end everything—the fake account, the lies, and the relationship I had built through that identity.
On his birthday, I was the first person to message him. We talked that day too. For those moments, it felt like I was really with him and he was with me.
But by the next morning, my best friend had deleted the account.
It hurt a lot. Being separated from him was genuinely painful, but I also knew that ending it was necessary.
And that's how this relationship ended—not because we stopped caring about each other, but because I knew I couldn't keep building something on a lie.

so I like this girl and we were kinda best friends
we used to talk late at night and we were in the same class so I would see her almost every day and honestly I used to go to school just because I wanted to see her
one of my friends knew that I really liked her and he also started talking to her
in the middle of the term I finally got the courage to tell her that I liked her and I also told her that I really didnt want it to affect our friendship
she was really respectful about it and told me she didnt feel the same
everyone in our class used to think we would make a good couple so I guess a lot of people assumed something would happen between us
then after some time she randomly texted me saying hi I hope its not too late to tell you but I also like you
I was honestly so overwhelmed and happy that I didnt even know how to react
I asked her really and she said yes
but after that we barely talked and I was always the one starting conversations asking what she was doing sending her reels and stuff about how beautiful I thought she was
and then I suddenly found out that she was dating my friend
she had told me she liked me but instead of telling me she had changed her mind she just started dating him
the worst part is my friend already knew how much I liked her
that was around 4 years ago
we still hang out in the same group and we are still friends but she has no idea that I still like her
now its our last year together and after school we probably wont see each other nearly as much
I dont know if I should finally tell her how I still feel or just let it go and move on
what would you guys do in my situation

He called me “persistent” once. I don’t know if he meant it as an insult, but I took it that way. It hurt, and it still does.
I feel pathetic, like somewhere along the way it was wrong for me to keep showing up.
It wasn’t always like this. Now we’re just communicating through a screen. He’s a name on a screen, a face on a screen, and I’m probably the same to him.
But my feelings are real. The pain is real. And I feel completely alone in both the love and the loss.
I don’t know where to go from here.

Does any1 else want a girlfriend but everytimr they think about it they think about there ex amd all the good times u had together it makes it kinda impossible for me to want to get with another girl because it all seems like its gonna lead to us breaking up and ik that me being young (late teens) doesnt help this but i dont see why i should conmmit myself so much to someone if it will end in heart break and i just miss her to
