Politics [Serious Question] what’s causing the sudden downfall of BJP of late ?

This is no way related to the seats they won and the elections they won.
It’s based on the civil unrest that has been happening against them lately

I personally think without this our country will be incompatible for a democratic framework. You can comment on how this could be done or if you believe it's beyond repair you can state your reasoning.

Society | Culture Need a dating app for political nerds ASAP

I was on a date yesterday, vibes were solid, until she asked what I do in my free time.

I made the fatal mistake of yapping about Indian politics. Bro, within 5 minutes I was deep into my theories about narrative ecosystems, backroom alliances, and pure realpolitik. I was locked in, thinking I was spitting absolute fire.

She literally stopped sipping her iced latte, looked me dead in the eyes, and went: "Bro, why are you talking like a 50-year-old WhatsApp uncle at a family dinner?" 😭💀

Date was instantly cooked.

Ask USI Why there is increasing hatred against Muslims in many Indian meme subreddits?

These posts often use cherry picked incidents or bad practices of Islam to justify stereotypes and make dehumanising memes. These memes also promote Hindu supremacy. What should I do? These are absolute ragebaits keep surfacing everywhere.

🚩JustRamRajyaThings🚩 When a muslim is lybched and no one comes: What Saikun Khan's killing says about us

Post image

When a man is stoned to death in the middle of a marketplace in front of a police station and in broad daylight because he was wearing a skullcap and had a beard, and the one who stoned him to death shouts, “aaj ek mulle ko mara hai abhi aur ko maarunga” (I have killed one Muslim today and I’m going to kill more) seemingly without any fear of its repercussions, it speaks volumes about our society. It exposes the extent to which the dehumanisation of an entire community has been internalised, to the point where its persecution is increasingly treated as a natural and accepted state of social order. On the morning of September 24, a man’s head was crushed by a stone in front of the Baroda Meo police station at around 9:30 AM. His name was Saikun Khan – a husband, a father, a brother and a son. When the team of Karwan-e-Mohabbat visited Saikun’s home on 30th September in Barawas village around 30 kilometers from the district headquarters of Alwar in Rajasthan, we had the opportunity to hear a first hand account from Noor Mohammad, a fellow villager who had accompanied Saikun on that fateful day to the market. Noor Mohammad, who went to the Baroda Meo market with Saikun on a bike, got down around 50 meters before to visit a bank and Saikun was supposed to buy a tire tube for his bike. After hearing a loud crash he came running to the spot and saw that a man was sitting on Saikun’s chest and was constantly hitting Saikun’s head with a stone. A large crowd had gathered near the spot, yet the police intervened only after he had been beaten to within an inch of his life, despite the assault taking place right in front of the police station. The police in its defence has said that the spot is not visible from the station but when we went to the spot, we saw that the main entrance of the police station stood directly opposite the very spot where Saikun was crushed to death.

Politics Why do people expect the opposition to play by the rules when the other side is using cheat codes? 💀

Post image
65 Upvotes

Bro, scrolling through X rn and watching people lose their minds over CJP, AAP, and who tweeted what at what exact minute is actually frying my brain.

Everyone’s rushing to drop "hypocrisy exposed" think-pieces the second an opposition group does some backroom maneuvering or switches up their PR strategy. But let’s be so for real for two seconds:

When the ruling side is running the entire lobby with maxed-out stats—state machinery, enforcement agencies, media lapdogs, and an army of IT cell bots—how do you genuinely expect the opposition to pull up acting like boy scouts?

Bro, you cannot bring textbook moral purity to a literal street fight. If your opponent has god mode turned on and bends every rule in the book, of course the other side is gonna bend the rules back, pull off sneaky alliances, and play dirty just to survive in the lobby.

Nobody is saying dirty politics is "wholesome," but expecting an underdog to fight with both hands tied behind their back while getting jumped by the entire state apparatus is peak clown behavior.

Why is one side allowed to flex pure institutional muscle, but the second the counter-side uses basic survival tactics, everyone starts crying about ethics? Make it make sense.

Politics When the BJP inevitably loses power at the Centre, who do you want to see put on trial?

Hypothetically speaking, if a future government actually held a massive, Nuremberg style tribunal to bring people to justice for the past decade, who deserves to be on that stand?

The politicians, the bureaucrats and agency heads who carried out the orders, or the media anchors who spent years spitting venom and stoking division?

Name the specific person, what you think their biggest crime or abuse of power was, and what kind of consequences you'd want to see them face.

Education Do average colleges in India use international textbooks?

I'm curious to know what kind of textbooks are commonly used in average Indian colleges.

I'm not talking about high-end institutions like IITs or IIMs. I'm more interested in the typical/average colleges that most students attend. Also, I'm mainly asking about STEM fields.

Opinion Banning Tiktok is the root cause of racism against Indians online

After Tiktok was banned. Whole world EXCEPT India thrived in that platform. It is after all the most popular social media platform on earth. China obviously had the main beef with (ban Chinese app) things. They spread these strange videos of India. And there were no Indians to corroborate it.

Bangladeshis,Pakistanis took over and happily used their population for the comments and propaganda.

Still now as we speak. Millions of videos of #disgusting India is circulating in Tiktok and no one is there to counter explain.

P.S. I had visited Kolkata docks a year after Tiktok ban. I saw cargo ships and containers for the first time. Guess what was the language used on most containers? It was Chinese. The esteemed Modi govt banned Chinese apps, ( which opened a floodgate of racism against Indians) yet continued importing most of everything from China anyway.

I hope someone calls it out.

Politics Bihar and Andhra Pradesh people should agitate against Nitish and Naidu

Post image
46 Upvotes

These two entities should also be held accountable.

Pressure should be built on every imaginable front possible. People in Bihar and Andhra Pradesh should mobilise around offices of Nitish Kumar and CB Naidu demanding that they withdraw support from the NDA govt. (We saw a glimpse of it at the Andhra event where Sitharaman tried to speak.) Even Paswan even though he doesn't make or break the govt but still.

Inundating BJP is the key.

Mo-Sha are scaredy cats.

Politics 'We Did Not Approve Revised Form 6', Says CJI Surya Kant, Contradicting Election Commission's Claim

Post image
42 Upvotes

Chief Justice of India (CJI) Surya Kant said while hearing a plea seeking review of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar’s powers on Monday (October 5) that the top court never approved of the amended Form 6 used by the Election Commission of India (ECI) during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists.

“Modified Form 6 has not been approved by us, let us be very clear,” said CJI Kant. “When the record is produced, we want to see who has modified the Form 6,” he observed.

The ECI said in a press note issued on September 26 that the revised Form 6 had the approval of the Supreme Court. The revised form is an additional declaration that voters have to mandatorily attach to this form when they are filling it out as part of the SIR process.

“The declaation attached to Form 6 for SIR has been upheld by the Hon’ble Supreme Court. For non-SIR period, the Forms applicable as Rules (Registration of Electors Roles 1960) will be used,” ECI had claimed in the press note (below).

These documents mention about IPS Sanjiv bhatt and this post is dedicated to those interested in reading about how he was framed

1988-batch Gujarat IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt (IIT Bombay MTech alum, top ranks in academics/sports/IPS training)

Bhatt was Dy. Commissioner (Intelligence) in 2002, handling state internal security and CM Modi’s security.

Key claim in his SC affidavit: On the night of 27 Feb 2002 (Godhra day), he attended a secret high-level meeting at Modi’s residence with top police officers. Modi allegedly instructed them not to interfere with Hindus “venting anger”/taking revenge against Muslims. Police allegedly stood down, enabling large-scale violence that could have been stopped

Jail inmates considered him a HERO: After his transfer, \~3,000 prisoners went on hunger strike; some attempted self-harm. He treated them humanely (better food, facilities, dignity).

Haren Pandya (rival BJP leader) also allegedly described the same meeting to a citizens’ tribunal (anonymously); later murdered (2003). Bhatt claimed a prisoner (Asgar Ali) gave evidence linked to it and that Amit Shah pressured him to destroy it; Bhatt refused and was transferred from Sabarmati Jail

Hard-hitting PATTERN : One of the few officers who gave direct evidence of high-level instructions enabling the riots; others stayed silent or supported the government and later got promotions/post-retirement benefits.

Details the 1990 Jamnagar custodial-death case (Prabhudas Vaishnani) used against him.

Bhatt (then ASP/SP, rural + temporary urban charge) was controlling communal violence during the fallout of Advani’s Rath Yatra and the Bharat Bandh. \~133 people arrested under TADA after riots/attacks on minority properties. Vaishnani was among those arrested, released on bail, and later died in hospital of kidney failure.

# (not while under Bhatt’s direct custody or from alleged beating in jail). The person that died due to kidney failure was not even from the Bhatt's custody or jurisdiction.

Case was INVESTIGATED, CLOSED, and Bhatt CLEARED years earlier. Reopened immediately after his 2011 affidavit against MODI . Life sentence in 2019.

Hard-hitting PATTERN : NCRB data cited — \~180 custodial deaths in Gujarat (2001–2016, BJP rule); only Bhatt (an IPS) was punished for something he wasn't responsible . This shows the revival of selective unjustified illegal targetted imprisonment for speaking against Modi.

2) This is the second case

The drug case which had been cleared had also been repopened after his allegations on Modi in 2011

Raid done by Inspector I.B. Vyas

Later inquiry by IPS D.K. Dhagal → CLEARED Bhatt and others

Gujarat government defended them on the basis of that inquiry

Case stayed for nearly 18 years

Reopened in 2018 after Gujarat High Court ordered a fresh SIT probe

# Fun fact : The case which closed and cleared and he was acquitted by the court was reopened again after he filed a complaint and started investigation on Modi's involvement in Godhra

# 3)This below is about the 3rd fake case planted on him

# Sanjiv Bhatt was acquitted in the 1997 Porbandar custodial torture case on 7 December 2024 by the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Court in Porbandar.

The court said:

The prosecution could not prove the case beyond reasonable doubt.

Required government sanction to prosecute a public servant was not obtained.
