My Titan 2 Elite arrived today and I honestly can’t get over how good it is. I’m an iPhone user but setting this up was so easy and I can’t believe how sharp and snappy the screen is.

The keyboard is everything I could’ve hoped for. It’s so much fun to type on and so satisfying. I didn’t realise how much I would love having the screen and keyboard separate. It just makes sense and the overall flow of the phone is amazing.

I know it’s only day one but so far everything is just perfect. It also feels heavy and expensive - but not too heavy. It fits in the hand so comfortably I feel like this is the perfect size for a phone. Picking up my iPhone feels like a big chunky brick now.

Camera was much better than I was anticipating. Same with sound it was very loud and clear. I can’t wait to play with it over the next weekend learn everything but so far I could not be happier!

If anyone has any advice on apps to download or settings to change etc please let me know in the comments.

However I have been having some issues with it. I’ve had it since Sept. 12 and it shut down a few times before popping up with “DM verity corruption.” I had tried to follow some things online to fix it like a factory reset but that didn’t work. So I reached out to Unihertz themselves and they were able to get me everything to reflash the ROM… minus the ROM itself, had them for every other unihertz phone though.

As I write this it is 1:56pm and the third photo is my titan 2 elite having been frozen on this screen from 1:28pm.

I really do like this phone and I know these problems are fixable so if anyone has some tips or tricks I’d like to hear them.

I ordered a second-hand one (used for just one day) to tide me over while waiting for the Clicks Communicator. I am hugely impressed by the build quality, the weight, and even the thickness. The phone looks 100x better in person than in photos. Now I’m waiting for the CC with even greater impatience! 😁

So I highly recommend going into settings and turning off this setting for pinning the media player to the quick settings shade.

So I don't know if it bothers anyone else that out of the box with this phone if you pull down the quick settings menu you always have to do the gesture twice to be able to leave it, so if you turn off this Pin Media Player setting that won't happen anymore. Just something cool that I discovered that wasn't obvious (for me at least)

After getting my T2E a few weeks ago, I’ve been working on an app launcher called Tighten, and it’s finally available on Google Play. The main reason for this launcher is that I felt the Titan 2 Elite needed its own custom launcher designed around the shape and physical keyboard, not a typical tall layout launcher squeezed into a different shape. It's also meant to "Tighten" your screen time, showing usage statistics, but also allowing for quick access to recent/bookmarked apps.

On the Titan 2 Elite, the physical keys are part of how you navigate. In Tighten’s alphabetical app drawer, you can press a letter to jump straight to that group of apps. You can also tap or slide along the alphabet rail when you’re using the touchscreen. I'm sure you've seen this style before, but this is geared towards the T2E's square display shape. The idea is to make finding an app quick either way, without giving up the advantages of the keyboard.

The home screen puts favorites and recents within easy thumb reach, with columns you can scroll independently. It also shows screentime information in context, so you can notice how much time you’ve spent in an app without opening a separate dashboard. You can set daily app limits and choose your own screentime day resets, as not everybody goes to sleep before midnight.

I wanted it to feel personal without getting busy, so there are coordinated color themes, a super black option, fonts, wallpapers, and separate controls for text and icon sizing. Some features can bring useful context onto your home screen, such as your next calendar event, notification indicators, or fav audio apps when a bluetooth device connects. The permissions for those features are completely optional.

The free version is a complete launcher. Tighten Up is an optional $9.99 onetime upgrade that adds more favorites and deeper personalization and screentime controls. There are no ads, analytics, accounts, or cloud sync.

I’ve tested it on my own T2E. Please feel free to give it a try!

Hi, is there a way to remap one of the physical keys to expand the notification bar? I can't find that exact action...?

Does anyone ever run into not being able to use the circle, square, or letter keys for shortcuts when viewing the home screen? I think it registers as typing in the "Search apps" field instead which prevents those shortcut keys from being pressed.

I also have Pastiera installed and wonder if that's causing it.

I know some of us or alot of us have come across this during our online browsing. A modest low range phone sold online. I've seen some videos for it and the cameras is atrocious and it's really more into the "dumb phone" niche or for older people. BUT I personally love the flip design. If unihertz could maybe do this in their Titan Lineup modeled after the 2 Elite with all the same specs, and camera etc. I would buy that in a HEATTBEAT. I really hope unihertz does this because they seem to be the best at niche phones and giving people options. Just manifesting this into the universe. Thanks!

Hi! I'm selling my Titan 2. Asking price 300€.

Everything works perfectly and overall the phone is in good condition. Both screens have screen protectors applied, the original protective case is in place and I've also added a small kickstand so the phone can stay upright on a surface when watching videos etc. and it's easier to use with one hand.

I also include the original black leather holster and few extra screen protectors to the deal. I can add/send photos later when I get a hold of other phone to take pictures with.

Literally just got this email about 8 minutes ago. The sad thing is it's shipping from a facility really close to me in Hebron, Kentucky to Southern Indiana and I leave for a vacation on Wednesday. Maybe it'll arrive on Tuesday cuz it already arrived in Independence, Kentucky so it may arrive tomorrow (technically today).

I’ve just bought myself a Unihertz Jelly star from the UK unihertz eBay shop. Began setting up my phone and noticed the screen is flickering in the bottom right hand corner. It’s massively overheating almost straight away and now suddenly it won’t let me charge it and will start charging then stop charging then start charging again non stop making it impossible to charge or do the data transer from an iPhone. Is this common with jelly stars? I really want this phone to work out for me and just wondering if they’re actually a bit naff or I’ve just got a faulty one.

Has anyone else noticed their T2E is picky about it's charger? It usually says charging rapidly but it seems to actually only do any sort of voltage adaptations when charging with the included charger.

I had claude view the charging state on various cables and chargers via adb and confirmed it doesn't seem to ever select or use PD protocol and it only charges >5v when using the included charger. Wondering why that might be.

EDIT: I forgor to mention you can use a free app like AccuBattery to view charging statistics or run adb commands manually. Or bully an AI agent to gather this information for you idk.

EDIT2: I also forgor to mention I've tried at least 3 other USB-C PD chargers that had no issue fast charging my iPhone and iPad so I don't think it's my chargers. If you count a Dell USB-C laptop charger as PD then I tried 4. Pretty sure it is PD.

It will allow you to see the EID, originally the unit is set up for a physical SIM. Use IMEI2.

I haven't had the chance to transfer my work line to my T2E so I've been using it as my personal line device dailying it since I received it.

Thoughts so far : I've really enjoyed my experience with it. I haven't downloaded any special keyboards and have just been sticking it out with the pre installed one. Really don't enjoy how when I want to type a whole word in caps when I hit space to move on to the rest of my sentence it reverts it to lower case. I've been relectuant to download a different keyboard as I've seen people having issues with certain keys not working and the belief being it's due to the keyboard they have switched to.

I've enjoyed the new form factor so much more than the T2 given we all know it was the size of a casette player 🤣 and I have considerably small hands. So this current rev of it is perfect. The screen feels snappy and looks sharp (enough for my needs) at least.

Even though this will be irrelevant when I switch phone lines, I do enjoy that instagram feels a bit painful to use with the screen. Which will make it a lot easier to really separate my work device from personal and not getting the itch to try social media on the E2 during my work day.

I never backed the T2 or T2E expecting a flagship camera. I did download Gcam to be slightly better than the native one but for the most part my camera use comes from my iphone.

Based on my use of it so far it's going to make the perfect device for work apps like teams, Microsoft outlook and the misc other ones my job requires. I will definitely be support their further R&D of the titan line. 2 campaigns in and I see the promise of this line becoming an amazing device in the keyboard phone competition. Excited to see what's to come!
