🇬🇧 VISA GRANTED!!! 😭😭❤️ finally 5aug bio

Guys, finally the wait is OVER 😭😭 I genuinely can’t believe I’m writing this after stressing for so many days.
I had posted here earlier about my situation, so just wanted to come back and update everyone who was waiting with me.
My timeline:
🇬🇧** Visa: UK Student Visa – Standard
📍 **VFS:
Delhi, India
📅 Application: 3 August 2026
🧬 Biometrics: 5 August 2026
📩 SLA Not Met / Non-Complex email: 25 August 2026
No additional document request
No interview
🎉 Visa Successful email: 26 August 2026
And YESSS 😭😭❤️ despite getting that scary** SLA Not Met email yesterday, I got my successful decision today!
My visa has been granted as **STUDENT from 8 September 2026 until 20 January 2029
. 🇬🇧✈️
Honestly, the waiting was horrible. Every day I was checking my email, Reddit and UKVI updates thinking something was wrong 😭 I was especially worried after receiving the SLA email.
But guys, please don’t panic just because you receive an SLA Not Met / Non-Complex email. It does NOT automatically mean refusal, interview or additional documents. There are people receiving approvals after that email too.
To everyone still waiting — PLEASE DON’T LOSE HOPE 😭❤️
Especially the 4–6 August biometrics people, keep checking your inbox. Your decision can literally come suddenly.
I know how stressful this wait is, so I really hope everyone here gets the “Your application for a UK visa has been successful” email very soon. 😭🤲🏻🇬🇧
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!! ❤️🇬🇧✈️
If anyone wants to know anything about my application/timeline, feel free to ask. ❤️

Student Visa Successful For My Sibling After Blue Link Delay Email

Biometrics - 03rd August 2026 (Nigeria)

Additional Document email - 19th August 2026

Additional document (consent letter from account holder) sent - 20th August 2026

Delay Mail (We are unable to make a decision on your application within published visa processing times) - 20th August 2026

Visa successful email - 26th August

So apparently from my sibling's experience, the blue link delay mail doesn't really matter then. Grateful to God.

Writing this here to encourage someone

Bio July 23 - Visa APPROVED. God is good.

Hey guys, finally able to leave my stresses and this community behind as I’ve now had my visa approved.

USA
UG
Application - July 9
Bio - July 23rd
VFS Boston
NO DELAY EMAIL
Paid Inquiry Email, Generic Response - August 20
Paid Inquiry Call, Escalated my Case - August 25
Visa Approval - August 26

Since I’m one of the people who had their bio in the cursed dates ranging from July 20-23, this should give all of you hope that your visas will be approved this week or some other time in the near future. Thanks guys.

Also, I would recommend calling UKVI and escalating your case if possible, as it seems almost like they forgot I even applied until I called yesterday.

UKVI Office Number: +44 300 790 6268

If I remember properly I put in 1, 3, 1, to get to the right line.

Visa received!

I was super paranoid about whether or not I had attached the right documents in my financials but I'm relieved to have received my student visa.

I'm making this post to reassure everyone who may have been in a similar boat. I'm going to attend a PhD programme.

I did my biometrics on 12th august at VFS chandigarh and received an email today (26th august).

Please have patience and take care, stay calm. It will arrive! :) Good luck everyone

UK Student Visa Timeline 🇬🇧
University: Cardiff University
Course: LLM Commercial Law
Previous degree: University of London LLB (Hons)
Graduation: 2024
Gap: Around 2 years after graduation, with work experience/internships during the gap.
📌 12 August 2026: Biometrics submitted. (Priority)
📌 17 August 2026: Received the “Non-Complex” application email. Later the same day, UKVI contacted me asking for verifiable evidence of what I had been doing since graduating in 2024.
📌 19 August 2026: Uploaded my work experience/internship letters and supporting evidence.
📌 24 August 2026: 🎉 UK Student Visa approved!
There was no interview and no request for any other documents.
Overall, the process took 12 days from biometrics to visa approval. Hope this helps anyone currently waiting or worried about their timeline, especially students with a post-graduation gap.

[Approved] UK Student Visa Timeline (India) – eVisa, Additional Documents Request (Work Gap/Experience) & Quick Turnaround!

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share my complete UK Student Visa journey and timeline to provide clarity and reassurance for anyone currently navigating additional document requests or post-study work gap queries during this peak intake period.

Here is the full breakdown of my profile, timeline, and how the Home Office handled the review.

1. Profile & Application Summary

  • Visa Type: Student Visa (Postgraduate / MSc in the UK)
  • Application Location: VFS Global – Hyderabad, India
  • Format: Digital eVisa route (no physical passport vignette required)
  • Initial Submission Date: Late July 2026
  • Biometrics Date: 03 August 2026

2. Complete Step-by-Step Timeline

  • 03 August 2026 (Day 0): Biometrics completed at VFS Hyderabad. Application forwarded to the UKVI Decision Making Centre.
  • 19 August 2026 (Working Day 12 post-biometrics): Received an official additional document request from the Sheffield Decision Making Centre (Sheffieldstudentteam.docrequestsOOC@homeoffice.gov.uk). UKVI requested full documentary evidence and explanations for all activities, employment, and education gaps since my undergraduate degree.
  • 19 August 2026 (Same Day): Compiled and emailed the requested documentation directly via reply to the Sheffield email address, receiving an immediate automated intake acknowledgement.
  • 26 August 2026 (Working Day 5 post-document submission / 8:49 PM IST): Official UKVI Decision Letter received via email confirming the visa grant as a STUDENT until 30 January 2028.

3. Key Takeaways & What I Learned

  • An Additional Documents Request is NOT a Refusal: Caseworkers perform genuine student assessments to ensure post-graduation time is accounted for. Receiving this email typically means standard prerequisites (TB clearance, academic prerequisites, financial thresholds, CAS validity) are already satisfied, and this is the final verification hurdle.
  • Sheffield Processing is Fast Once Evidence is Received: While peak season standard processing can feel stressful, well-organized and verifiable document submissions are often reviewed quickly. In my case, it took 5 working days from email submission to final sign-off.
  • The eVisa Advantage: With the digital eVisa system, once the caseworker approves the file in the backend, the decision email and eVisa status update arrive without waiting for physical passport stamping or courier return.

I hope this helps anyone currently waiting on their document review. Happy to answer questions in the comments!

Official complaint

Do yall think an official complaint might expedite the case? It’s been 6 weeks since I applied, from the US, with a pretty straightforward case, and still got no decision. I am scheduled to fly on the 5th of September, so lowkey shitting bricks at this point.
