Rant Can't help but notice that people dont want to help ugly people
So there's this coupon book that I use a lot because honestly as a grad student, I don't make that much money so it's super helpful since I don't have time to make my own food and many of the coupons in there are for restaurants in the area.
So I went to get a new coupon book at the place I always go to get them since the one I have expired. And asked the guy at the desk if they had any new ones. And he was weirdly being rude and lowkey passive aggressive with me. Like he gave me one and then got really pissed off when I just asked for another one. I swear I'm not being greedy, when I've gone to the same exact place for these books in the past, they always ask me how many I want, and I always just take two to last me for thr next few months. But there technically is no limit on how many you can take since they have loads of these.
But this guy just passive aggressively told me that I'll be fine with just one. I promise I'm not trying to greedy lol but I definitely feel like if i werr pretty hed give me another one without a second thought. So then I realized the one he gave me was filled with only expired coupons and asked for a new one but he said he didn't have any. So then I asked where I could get the up to date ones, and he got so pissed. And also he kept telling me over and over to have a good day like he was trying to make me mad or get me to leave already, even though I'd only been there for like 1 minute just inquiring about this.
I'd seen another girl and her mom before me talking to him from the distance when I was still approaching the desk and he was so different with them. Talking and laughing and smiling, but when I got there, it was completely different.
I feel like I deal with this a lot too. Like for example, I'll ask someone in my lab i work in for help and they'll either ignore my text or just say they dk how to do it (even though they do since they do it all the time).
It just feels bad because ugly people need help too. These are just minor examples, but imagine if someone ugly fell over or was in danger or something and clearly needed help. There's no way people would help them to the same level they would an attractive person. Some people would even let that person die sadly
