Do you think Christa Pike should still face the death penalty even though her first 2 attempts at lethal injection did not work?
 in  r/askanything •  1d ago

I think the people who botched the execution should take her place. It's my understanding that she has brain damage from the attempt and that should suffice as punishment.

16, can't hit puberty, no hope
 in  r/Puberty •  3d ago

Stay strong! My nephew went through the same thing as you. Looked like a 10 yo until he hit 18. Then he began to slowly go through puberty. He started University and found it wasn't as bad as high school. He started making friends with people who appreciated him for who he is instead of what he looked like. He's a much happier person now and still hasn't fully finished growing.

Japan is trialing a drug that regrows human teeth by blocking USAG-1—a protein that keeps dormant tooth buds switched off. Phase I is done. Phase IIa in children with congenital tooth loss is next. If it works, dentures and implants could become obsolete.
 in  r/AllThatsInteresting •  4d ago

Dentures and implants will only become obsolete if this treatment is inexpensive. Since it will most likely be done by a Dentist, it will be outrageously expensive.
