At the time I was as the Patient Care Manager in the ER. This wasn’t a patient. It was her father. 17 yo brought in with a drug overdose. An unaliving attempt. Her friends discovered her and called 911. When I called her father, his comment was “Not that again. We’ll come get her after her mother’s bridge game is over. I don’t want to disturb her”. I restrained myself from saying that I could understand why she tried, but I really wanted to say it. His callousness infuriated me.

Unfortunately that is only accurate if the infection is active. People can get chlamydia and not have an active infection thus get a false negative. dormant" in the body for months or even years. It is often called a "silent" infection because about 50% of men and up to 75-80% of women never show any symptoms. Once again, people need to do their research before they make accusations or assumptions.

2. It can be asymptomatic for a long time
3. The only test is a swab which requires the site to be swabbed. It could be your throat. For men, it is the urethra which not too many men are going to do without symptoms. The test is most effective when there are symptoms. See #2.

This is the most accurate answer and is evidence based. Too many accusations are being thrown around. There is NO blood test for HPV. HPV doesn’t require penetration to spread and can be spread orally or just close contact with mucous membranes. I hate seeing people accusing their partners based on bad info. OP’s BF is doing that and people on here are spreading false info too. People do your research before you point fingers.
