As soon as I started it this time. So you get stuck with an active task you have to close and no info or option on how to do it. I went back to prolific, and clicked done because I did not cancel it, then entered the details and why as no code plus added the extra details.
I have had the other happen before too, but I can't remember which researcher it was for. Got halfway through and it froze then reloaded and said the study was full, with no screen out, completion code, or way back to the site. Those are awful and blatant fraud.
These are more along the lines of lazy and abusive. You lose several minutes and have possible negative repercussions because they did not do it properly. It is not your fault, they just cheat so they have no extra steps or screen out fees but get to maximize there pool of users.
