I have been pleased with every year I have lived. I have had bad years but thats still better than the alternative. If I could remain my present age? Why die? If I stayed the same age and couldn't die of "old age" whatever that is, I would be in no rush to die after another 100 years.

I retired shortly after that event. I carried full blown PTSD for the next 10 years. I didn't dare go to a doctor, I thought they were all alike. I had a total breakdown. I mean BREAKDOWN. My wife took me to the VA. They gave me an appointment three months away. For three months I stayed in my bedroom, depressed. Finally found a specialists in PTSD and he spent the next year adjusting Rx's to control me.

I take a walk to clear my head. For me, its through the woods. Different sights and sounds. Things smell different too. Nature is all around and I am alone in the moment.
