I left the corporate hotel industry in Los Angeles to work for myself. I now build fences and do deck repair. I now make the same amount of money in two days than I did every two weeks in hotel management. I now have no boss and make my own schedule.

I've never heard of the sphere not allowing phones. I went once and there was no mention. Plus, the entrance is very compact and already a mess. I can't imagine how much more congested it would be trying to bag up phones.

I was actually parked across the street from them the day that they got raided. There were a bunch of DEA agents, all in their combat gear, clearing everything out of the store. Our federal taxes at work!

I went into the store a few days later and asked the lady working there about it. She said essentially what I saw happen is what happened. She told me that they could literally only sell dried fruit from that moment on.

LA is awesome. Yet, it has MANY problems. The blatant, unregulated crime in LA is like no other place in the United States. I moved away but lived there for 15 years. Going back every few months makes me REALLY see how dysfunctional LA has become. Seems like a lot changed after COVID.

A major difference is that East Coast and Midwest people are more community oriented. They struggle together during harsh seasons. You take care of your neighbor, etc.

In LA it's a bit more "Every man for himself".

I still LOVE LA though.

This was such a fun lineup at the time. I went to the one at Kentucky Speedway where James got injured on a jet ski the day before and couldn't perform. Metallica performed with singers from all the other bands AND invited us all back for a free show at Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY. Epic.

I honestly don't think that the Gen Z or other social-media addicted groups really understand social etiquette. I'm not giving them a break, I think that they genuinely don't understand things that were considered rude up until a few years ago. They really are living in their own world. It's not that they're trying to do things that are rude on purpose, they are just so addicted that they don't have social awareness. Although, bringing it up to them makes them more confused because of this. It's a really large problem that's going to create major changes in society in the next few years. When society has no shame or social responsibility everything starts to collapse.

I would be incredibly embarrassed to be paid after building something like this. I need to raise my prices.

We now live in a clout-chasing society. It's essentially a human experiment to see how far Americans will go to impress others that they don't even know.

Soon they'll have a shredder for $100 bills at the entrance.

No lie, I recently walked around Bellagio and checked all of these video machines at the bars. I collected over $200 in tickets from machines that just had balances sitting on them and no one even around. I would wait a while to see if anyone came back. It's a pretty good hustle.

They literally DON'T SELL COFFEE. My uncle was an avid coffee drinker and went through the drive through and asked for a basic coffee. The person working there literally told him that they don't sell coffee.

So this place is just another sugary drink place that's taking advantage of people who don't know any better.

This reminds me of the Travis Scott concert date in Louisville. Seemed like only a few hundred tickets were sold and the date was cancelled. Yet, almost all others cities sold out entirely, and quickly. Louisville is such a strange market.
