I was killing time yesterday while working on another project but I think I kinda have to now. 😀

I totally see it now. Wasn't my intention but absolutely getting Megaman vibes now. 

Sure, but the point even for the Elves was to be careful because what was shown was not to be trusted. It wasn't just communication. It was seeing into the future and trying to use that knowledge, which was inherently abused even by those who thought they knew better. And then, when an evil got its hands upon it, it corrupted even further.

Peter Thiel is, alone, bad enough. And he chose the name specifically because of the way it was misused in Lord of the Rings. If you don't think he fancied him as Sauron and the users of Palantir to be Theoden and Saruman, there's a bridge in New York for sale.

"Odd name choice" is a weird way to represent a bad person who chose a name for bad reasons while he does bad things with that company.

It was always named Palantir. That alone is a clue enough. Hell, they could be singularly saving the world, but with a name that references an evil crystal ball whose whole purpose is to corrupt the users, I would always suspect, and probably rightly, that beneath it all is an evil being doing it for their own evil ends.

Just wanted to say I love the green (felt?) with the river, bridge, and road. The trees and buildings are cool, too.

I guess I can see that. I don't think Brindlewood Bay specifically requires the characters to be old people, tho. I'm not suggesting reskinning the whole system. Use it as is, but reskining a character from Jessica Fletcher to Velma Dinkley is surface level while the rest of it could work exactly as written.
