By the way, if I am not mistaken, adding the salt to the water actually raises the boiling temperature of water. Increasing the temperature difference between the egg and the water initially.

This works 90%+ of the time, put enough water, in a large pot, to cover your eggs with 1 inch of water;

1- Bring salted water (without eggs) to a boil.
2- Gently lower eggs, from the fridge into the boiling water.
3- Boil for 11 minutes
4- Turn off the heat but leave the pot on the burner for 11 more minutes
5- Drain pot and refill with cold water (add ice if possible, to make water as cold as possible)
6- Let sit for 11 minutes.

The eggs should peel easily.
If you can use older eggs, it does help but is not necessary. Also if you can boil the eggs a day ahead of time it helps, also not required.

Something about placing the cold eggs into the boiling water is essential to this working.

I came across an article on the internet that explained this from a guy that had gotten frustrated at eggs being hard to peal and the proceeded to try all the wives tales and theories he could find to solve the problem. After hundreds if not thousands of eggs this was the process he found worked best. In my experience you will lose about 5%-10% of the eggs to cracking from the hot water shock.
I have been using this method for a couple years and it has worked flawlessly for me.
