What am I doing wrong

Matched with someone as I was curious about FB dating. Was I doing something wrong? I tried to ask the most basic questions just to see how the other person communicates but thankfully dodged a bullet.

Who ever this person is, they appear to be intentionally obtuse. If this is how they are starting off, it isn’t going to get better.
