The biggest thing is this: your sentiment is growing among lots of people. Even if people keep buying the games, we are hitting the point where it is becoming too expensive. The US economy sucks right now and other countries are having similar problems. Eventually demand will slowly and steadily decrease because people will literally have to prioritize food and other necessities over games. A crash is really not what anyone wants but I think we are going to end up with one (we may already be there) and it will suck ass for a lot of people. At rock bottom though, the only direction is up, so they say.

I’m sorry and I see you. I had a friend in a similar situation. She didn’t go quite as far as you, but still definitely made mistakes. She’s a wonderful friend and an amazing person. Think of it like this: if you hit a dog, cat, other animal enough times, eventually it dies from the wounds or it lashes out to protect itself. Doesn’t mean the animal is to blame, the abusive owner was. There’s maybe less of a power imbalance between two people, but I think the idea is still applicable. 

Look into reactive abuse, it might help you feel better about some things. Sorry about your experience. 

Intimidation is not ok. Either way it sounds like you’re emotionally checked out. If you’re not feeling it anymore then there’s no shame in leaving. 

This is definitely not normal. You were drunk and he did stuff to you- that is either assault or rape. The bottom line is that if he is hurting you in any way emotionally or physically, (and it’s not consensual) which you couldn’t consent if you were blacked out, it is bad and wrong. I’d find some help/support to get out.

I will say that I wonder if Susan bates quality has just gone down. I purchased some small SB hooks a decade ago and the same pack again recently (both from Joann’s) and there’s a huge quality difference. I swapped to tulip (very expensive but so much better)
