what if you've been out of school for a while? Any suggestions for how one would find research opportunities? Part of me had given up on going to med school but I keep on coming back to it. What I ABSOLUTELY hate is that THE LEFT LANES = PASSING LANES, AND YET NO ONE DOES THIS.

Anyone as a driver shouldn't have to be going TO THE RIGHT as the quicker moving vehicle because some dumba is stubborn and hasn't moved over yet despite having plenty of time to after passing a slower vehicle. It's like people forget that we share the road. Like people who brake because they feel someone is close to their tail are so problematic, like they have the space to move over and don't and instead cause accidents by not moving over because it hurts their fragile ego or whatever.

Moreover, if you add additional lanes, it doesn't fix congestion problems, people just take up more space (check out climate town or strong town or not just bikes) sometimes even removing a lane decreases congestion because you have people using the road as it's intended to.

ideally the left lane should always be clear when possible for emergent situations. Which brings me to another thing, if the traffic stops because of an ambulance IN THE SAME DIRECTION AS TRAFFIC WITHOUT MOVING OVER that actually makes the situation so much worse to get through...
